Really hope people can stop contacting sponsors over every stupid little thing and talk to team managers first before doing that drastic step.

Teams still not learning to keep their members in check and not do stupid/illegal stuff just pisses me off. Hire a PR for goodness sake. I for one do not contact sponsors because I have not been overly offended by racist/political/underaged rape jokes but if I do you can bet I will.

Did you even listen or are you just making mindless comments in random threads? Good show overall, but like the above poster shows I don't think the sponsors talk is really going to reach the people it needs to.

Maby its just me, but I cant take hearing more about steelseries, intel and monster......yes they are important to grow and maintain this community, but holy fuk, its too much. I'll shut up and go grab a monster now:p

All the shit he talks about during the show makes me just wanna mute. Either he talks about something unrelevant or he just repeats what someone else just said. We need a more relevant terran. Not saying painuser dosen't know his shit because I really don't know, but we need a player. Someone like a Demuslim, QXC or any European Terran.

Obviously our expectations of the appropriate punishment differs greatly. I think we need to admit that fans going to sponsors have become a norm what with 3-4 controversial instances (maybe more?) of this sort occuring already. Managers, players, teams and industry celebrities have all come out to voice their unhappiness about this and yet still it (going to sponsors first) happens when players make controversial "mistakes". Shouldn't teams and players know how to "toe the line" by now? ie if you're on air, think before you hit "enter". I know easier said than done right. In conclusion, instead of trying to make hundreds of thousands of fans stop doing something isn't it easier to make the hundreds of players stop and think before doing/saying something especially if that something(s) that players are doing is deemed wrong/racist/controversial/illegal? Edit: Amended to reflect that I understand teams are asking players to not do stupid stuff on air but are they doing enough seeing as it keeps happening?

Instead of trying to make hundreds of thousands of fans stop doing something isn't it easier to make the hundreds of players stop doing something especially if that something(s) that players are doing is deemed wrong/racist/controversial/illegal? Most of the time it's not fans going to the sponsors. It's people who are just mindlessly destructive, or, worse, mindfully destructive; people who see something and want to tear it down. Our culture, the culture of the internet, is absolutely full of those people. Some are torch-and-pitchfork idiots - I DON'T LIKE THIS THING BURN IT DOWN! - and others are more malicious, wanting to break things just because they can. They can't be controlled or made to cease their foolish behavior. You, though, can. You're clearly not an idiot, you're a passionate person who wants to help the growth of the sport. The way to do that is to contact the people with the authority over the people bothering you. If a player does something, go to a manager or a team; hell, even his teammates! If it's the owner of a team, if SirScoots and Alex had said what Stephano did, then you go to the sponsors. They're the ultimate authority. Cases don't start at the Supreme Court. Players do dumb shit, and it gets dealt with. The problem comes when people, both within the community and without, take it upon themselves to perform some sort of vigilante justice. And that's exacerbated when the behavior is just 'controversial.' You don't have a God-given right to not be offended. If you're offended, well, so fucking what? How does that hurt you, and what possible remedy is there? What people are upset about isn't that Stephano committed an illegal act, it's that he said he did. The saying is the problem, because we don't know that it happened. Most people, I would guess, either don't care or don't think anything happened. So, I suppose, the ultimate lessons are two-fold. First, there's a portion of people who will always try to tear good things down. Second, you don't have to be one of those people. You can express your displeasure in constructive rather than destructive ways.

Yes because a team can mind control someone to stop them from saying a joke, or something offensive that they shouldn't. They can still punish them without going to the sponsors first. That was my point. Contacting sponsors should be a last resort if the team refuses to punish or acknowledge the wrong doing of said individual. If you get offended contact a manager first not the sponsors. If you think it's ok to contact sponsors first well not much to say except sorry you don't understand that.

Not to mention the fact that his opinion isn't even respected by his fellow hosts. Idra/Incontrol openly laugh at half of what he says. It's not even about results. QXC has readily and regularly gone toe to toe with Incontrol/Idra on SOTG and come away on top or at least having held his own. They still make fun of Painuser actually having the argument that DTs are better than Banshees, and there's a reason for that.
