LUCIFERION - The Apostate was a great album though.) | ||

I like the twist Lithurgy pulled though and made an entire album about channeling positive energy from the music. Hendrix is a pretentious asshole though so I don't really know if he's honest with his writing. | ||

Emperor's Ihsahn, for instance, is an avowed Satanist but he's really into the self-determinism side rather than the grrr evil occult Satan! side. Bathory, before Quorthon died, went full pagan/nationalist. So did Burzum (which really is just Varg, and fuck that guy with a rusty spoon). Sigh doesn't really do Satanism anymore. Tchort's moved into what's actually pretty mainstream music - Green Carnation is awesome, but it's not black metal. Mayhem I think are still doing it but they're more of a sideshow these days imo. | ||
