You don't hear them saying "Messi missed that penaly 20 minutes ago and now they are losing, what a terrible mistake that was, i can't believe it" again and again. Which is what we hear from a lot of casters "cough" Tasteless "cough". It's the same as calling GG early. If it's 4-0 in a football game, casters will say things like " i don't see them coming back" or "they will need a miracle". But they won't say that every two minutes. On an other topic, i don't know what the guys ate today but man, they bring an all other meaning to "no fluff". Holy shit, except for naming the caster who hate the games, they criticized pretty much every personnality in the game. Maybe not in Belgium but English commentators do both of those things always. If you're factually correct that a player makes a major game changing mistake then casters should call it out. Perhaps this fake positivity is an American thing but it sure as hell doesn't exist in British commentary for anything.

Its pretty disgusting if you actually think about it. Or it could be people wanting a "racism-free" community. not that I would agree with them, but I don't think that "grasp for attention" is the actual reason behind people complaining to the sponsors. It really felt like an easy way to dismiss the debate imo. Again, I wouldn't ever do that, but I have friends that care about those things, and complained to Quantic, and I can promise you one thing, they aren't attention seekers at all, nor are they trying to be important. And I find it rather funny to hear stuff like that from incontrol, considering he ALWAYS says that we should email sponsors to thank them for their support.

Emailing Quantic is fine, emailing the sponsors directly is different, which is what they were talking about. They encouraged people to give negative feedback to Quantic themselves, but don't want people to go over their head to Razer.

Forcing your own perspective or opinions on people is generally a bad idea. The vocal minority express their opinion in a way that can give sponsors a negative perspective on the whole community, which isn't actually fair. In a hypothetical situation, if 200 people emailed sponsors. that could influence their decision a hell of a lot. So is it right for those 200 peoples opinion to be held in higher regard than the 1,000,000 others just because they screamed and shouted the loudest? Sponsors don't have the time to find out how the whole community feels on situations and what the status quo is within that environment. Also it makes sense for Incontrol to want people to email in and thank the sponsors. If he believes that emailing in is detrimental to the business model, wanting people to email in positive comments is pretty rational.

You can't tell the difference between emailing a sponsor to thank them and emailing a sponsor to threaten them about the poor decisions of individuals? Really? Just so we are clear I also encourage people to support players but wouldn't like it if you actively tried to ruin their lives.

I'm emailing Steelseries because you outdrank me back in Boston and I felt sick the next day, by the way just thought you should know.

Instead, I felt that the show hosts jumped to Nony's defense. As friends, this is normal response, and I wouldn't make a big deal about it if I didn't see a similar thing occur frequently on DJWheat's shows. If a caller asks a questions which DJWheat disagrees with he really shuts down discussion on a potentially interesting topic. Ironically, Geoff and Idra, who I believe know Nony the best, were the only ones to make the most of the question. Again, this wasn't an egregious example. And DJWheat is a passionate host -- and nobody would want to take that away from him. But it takes no skill to defeat someone in an argument when you control the microphones. It takes real hosting talent to turn a somewhat flawed question into a great discussion. Liked this ITG very much.

People, try harder to ask more original questions. We've heard this bs questions about the next foreign hope, other games as esports and queries about the conduct of community members a billion fucking times
