I really think they should have a rule where if you talk for more than, say, 30 seconds (maybe a minute) without getting to your question, they just hang up on you, but that's just me. I know what you mean, although I think you're exaggerating a bit. But even then it's up to Wheat to adress this beforehand or during the call, and in a respectful manner, I feel. And in most cases even stupid questions can be answered constructively. And again, this is me nitpicking. I just hope it's regarded as constructive criticism, 'cause that's what it was meant to be. <3

I think he's made it perfectly clear that he wants callers to keep it short and simple, and that should be common sense to begin with anyway. I do agree that it would help to have something simple like "keep your questions short" up on the screen next to the number or something, though. It might even help to recommend that people have a script for their question so they don't have to think about what they want to say on the spot, a lot of callers seem like they're nervous and sort of forget what they wanted to say.

EDITED OP: AUDIO DOWNLOAD iTUNES RSS
Thanks for the feedback (I just read the past 3 pages). I'd like to comment on a few things:
- "Too Newb Friendly" - The goal when we started this show was to create a bridge of communication from Bronze - Masters to Grandmaster Pros. I have no doubt that we'll use another 10 episodes to continue to refine this and match the "voice" that the audience needs. I'd reckon that we'll ALWAYS see some "newb friendly" portions of the show simply because the audience is not just PLAT/DIAM/MASTERS players. You almost have to think of it as a cast too. Many times caster will divulge information that everyone pretty much already knows, but those newbies who are looking for an explanation (or knowledge) are happy to absorb these types of comments. I guess the point I'm making is, with opening the audience to interaction, there will always be some element of being "newb friendly" - however, this also means that any player seeking more constructive and high-level criticism ALSO HAS THE OPPORTUNITY BY CALLING AND/OR MAILING THE SHOW. Trust me, we aren't trying to segregate the audience of this show. And I think this will continue to develop over time.
- The Sentry Segment - No doubt, it sucked. Sometimes when you put a concept down on paper it's much better than when it's actually implemented. But these are the growing pains of any new show, and with these "experiences" we'll continue to mold the segments in to something more substantial for the viewers. This was one of these times.
- Callers - Go listen to the radio. Anyone who is calling me out for being harsh, or critical of the callers should simply just listen to any AM radio for a few days... and realize that we do nothing out of the norm for that type of medium. ALREADY after 2 episodes, I've noticed that people are much better about being "prepared" the moment they have been connected to the show. That's cause I fucking ripped assholes in Episode 1. It's all about "training" the audience... and I'd say they picked that shit up real fast cause Ep 2 and 3 were much better. However, if you ask a silly question, are trolling, or are wasting time... you better believe that I'm gonna do something about it. I think the callers in Episode 3 were leaps and bounds better than what we got in Episode 1. And remember... when you open the phones, you just never know what you're going to get (which is half the fun of the open phones).
Again thanks for the feedback and remember that we're always looking to improve the show, so it's very much appreciated!

Incontrol's personality helps mitigate this silliness by kind of "punishing" them with ongoing satire if they do make these silly calls or statements. This has to be done so callers think before they call so as to be more productive and conscious of their calls, or risk embarrassment (not to mention it adds to the entertainment value, admit it). The more productive said calls are, the more calls that get through to the show from the community, which is better for everyone. He may go a little over the top with it, but its something that will naturally improve along with the rest of the show. I shall keep watching for sure. Especially with the your doing it wrong segments, straightforward to previously vague and relatively unanswered questions (at least from a reliable source).

Anyone knows what the name of the song is in the intro, that goes like 'ba da ba ba baaaaaaaaaaaooooo'? During this they show different clips of previous events and matches. I know my impression sucks goat but I'm sure you get my drift.
Thanks.

Thanks a lot for the shows, enjoyed them.
On the topic of when you were talking about djWheat as a caster: djWheat is my favourite caster to be put with people like IdrA/InControL/Day9/PainUser. And it was said people complain that djWheat doesn't have enough knowledge of the game, but I've never personally seen this to be an issue, not like he ever makes shit up if he doesn't know.
But it's precisely because he's not a pro SC2 gamer that I think he's great, especially paired with someone like IdrA. Artosis is so amazing because he knows loads about the game, and is so forthcoming with these amazing nuggets of information which seem obvious to progamers. This is why pairing djWheat with IdrA is so good because he is always asking the right questions and getting so much out of IdrA.
It's almost like interview technique, but really natural because I guess like me he's a fan and genuinely wants to know that stuff.

Well it's quite a big topic to cover and discuss, and an important one at that.

Maybe listen first, then post?
It's different/better because DjWheat is in every episode, and that's what we love!

It's kind of a cross between the Day9 Daily and SotG, without really overlapping with either. It's basically SotG's format, but it's focused on learning/teaching the game, not discussing the "state of the game."
