My internet is fine and so is my computer, it's a recent thing. Is this a known problem? Are you working on a fix?
Thanks in advance It seems justintv lags affect most northern europe (france not included, germany included) Anyay, a tip for NASL : show the league standings before and after the matchday, showing who ups and who downs, like a sport league
Oh yeah I've actually thought about how nice some standings recap at the end would be. I second this!

These are my two cents;
First off, I really appreciate what the NASL is trying to do. The players they have playing in them is just awesome, some of the games have been truly epic. However, it seems the production quality seems like that of some high school kids running the show in their basement. Take the GSL, it's a small warehouse with only like 20-40 people in the stands but it FEELS epic, like it's a big deal.
Another thing that turns me away from watching the games "live" is that these games are not played live. The same reason if I miss a Steelers game (Steelers fan) I won't bother watching the game, I'll get the highlights from ESPN, player stats and I'm pretty much satisfied.
Finally, the BIGGEST ISSUE, and I'm really sorry to be blunt about this but Gretorp and iNcontrol are just not interesting or entertaining people to listen to. I understand that iNcontrol was a large part of setting this up (or at least that's what I got from him talking about it) and I appreciate that, but in the end this is about the viewers so please give them someone who is entertaining otherwise this will not last long. I mean just look at the poll results in the OP, Day9, he is very entertaining in his commentary and his dailies. Tasteless and Artosis are just great casters, undoubtedly the best pair of English Starcraft 2 casters out there.
I know that we can't have Day9, Artosis, and Tasteless cast everything. Maybe post the position, have try outs. There's entertaining people out there who plat Starcraft 2, who have a good voice, and who understand the game well enough, this would open to opportunity to find them.
I would love to go back and watch some of the vods, but given the sub-par production quality and bad casters, I don't want to spend any amount of money to watch those games. I don't have 40+ hours a week to watch starcraft in the first place, and if I'm going to spend my time (and money) on watching good games... I'd rather watch something entertaining.

I think this is really important if you haven't done so already, but get feedback from the players on how the tournament is run. Not just from the spectators.
I know scheduling is a nightmare, but seeing this many walkovers sucks for the viewers and players. Even though none of it is NASL's fault, you want to get as much data as possible so you can accommodate players to be as comfortable as possible so they can play as best as possible. I know I would be pissed if I woke up at 6am and had to wait 4hours for a match.

Gretorp needs to be more informed about statistics when he cites them, he cited 2 players records wrong today, and it completely changes how you think of the game, there is a huge different between a player being down 1-2 and a player being up 2-1. he cited both darkforce and july were down 1-2 and it didnt sound right so i had to look it up myself to realise it was wrong. I know you guys dont have alot of time for editing but if you could catch stuff like this it would be better to edit it out then leave it in even. Even better though is if gretorp can bring up the statistics on the computer just to make sure hes saying the right thing, like moletrap does in the GSL.

Just gonna throw in my 2cents here and say.
The first week was pretty rocky, lots of issues and it seemed pretty subpar.
But you guys at nasl have really stepped it up and it's much more professional and enjoyable now.
I'd also like to say that Gretorp, you have improved vastly on your commentary and I actually think your quite a good fit with Incontrol for the nasl now.
That said there is always room for improvement, smoother transitions between games and going into games is the main thing that sticks out to me. The cuts still seem pretty hard and unpolished. I would suggest perhaps at least a decent fade or camera pan to transition, and for them to make sure the casters have finished speaking before the cuts. Sometimes It feels like inc and gretorp just get cut off and it jumps straight into the next match.
Other than that, I can't really say to many bad things now. Keep it up guys.

Do something to fairly distribute lag between regions. As in, for 2 players, one from North America and one from Korea:
game 1 on North America game 2 on Korean game 3 on Europe
or something like that. Or a more complex approach:
Start with the above example, one game per region. Players can veto two maps each if desired. If BOTH players agree, player A can play an extra game on his region but cannot veto any maps.
That way if someone cares more about maps or lag, it can be allowed.
Something like that seems better at a glance, besides the annoyance of having to swap regions between games. I'd be fine with swapping regions if it were more fair.

Gretorp and inControl are AWFUL. Please switch them out with someone funny and intelligent. inControl constantly uses words that aren't in the English language. Apart from saying really dumb things like "Gretorp, you're stupid" in attempts to be funny, he says blatantly wrong things about the game - Gretorp is mildly better, but only mildly.
Also, when I'm looking up the schedule and finding a game to watch, I don't want it to say JULY WINS! in 8 places on the screen - I'd like to watch the game without spoilers of who won, which is done embarrassingly badly right now.
Additionally, no ability to select video quality - my internet cannot stream 1080p (not even close), and it's frustrating to have to wait 15 minutes for a game to load.
Overall, NASL is complete shit right now, and there's no way I'm paying for another season unless it gets a LOT, and I mean a LOT better.

How have they not fixed their justin tv issues,
where when you want to load a match, it has to be in HD so it takes a long time to buffer without a fast connection.
and Spoiler alert City, where you can generally watch the first match, and tell by the time left, if there will be a game 3.
This are huge Glaring Issues,
have they made a comment about this ? are they working on it? is their a timeline?
i can't find this information
thanks =D

please be intuitive with where you host the games, for instance having 2 EU people playing on US or worse 2 KR people playing on NA is just bad, NA should not become the server every game is played on just because casters can't be bothered changing servers (pretty easy to do using the .bat file someone made)... the quality of the games is suffering
on a more positive note, Gretorp is really improving, and I really like him so far... not sure why everyone is hating on him cuz hes doing great. Keep up the good work Gretorp

I have extreme FPS issues when watching the NASL VODs. It's pretty much a diashow, can't really enjoy it like that. It might help if there was an option to watch the VODs on lower quality, also because of the huge size, I can't watch them as they load. If I tune in for the stream, i have to pick 720 or 480p anyways because of my connection, but that one runs smooth.
Did I simply miss how the hell i can tune down the quality of the VODs? Btw, other 1080 vids are handled by my XPS Laptop, no problem...

I would suggest ending the round robin format. It's just not as and hard to follow.
Also please get rid of gretorp

NASL has made a lot of improvements to their production. Big difference from a few weeks ago. Good work.

Lag is still the main issue from my point of view. Maybe it's because i'm in europe, but it still is the only stream with such unwatchable lag. I hope something can be done about that.

The last couple times I watched the lag seemed to have improved a lot from the first week, but tonight it is completely unwatchable. (It's not my download speed, and I'm in the US.)

Please fix this! Audio balance is obviously off if you listen through headphones.

My download speed when normally watching fluctuates between the 150kb/s to around 60kb/s according to my System Information Gagdet, but today I'm getting around 30k to even 0k at some points, and even 240p is completely unwatchable.
Other than that, I'm greatly enjoying the NASL. I'll definitely be tuning in next Season and will even consider buying an HD Pass despite the fact that I'll probably never watch the VODs or get the DL speed to Stream in HD.

I think the cutoff at 10kHz could be due to the sampling rate being set to 22kHz,

Sorry but this is your very personal opinion and mine is 100% different. I love Gretorps and Incontrols casting so much more than Day9 casts.
I really do like Day9 for his dailies and what he's done for SC2 deserves a lot of respect, but he has some flaws too. When he's casting I always feel i'm listening to a Day9show instead of watching a game with a guy commenting through it in a non distracting but still entertaining way. Also, he's more a solo talker than a duo caster. Moletrap had this issue a bit as well but he's getting better.
Somehow when duocasting or in discussions Day9 just prefers to talk all the time and has some kind of "my opinion is a fact" kind of thing over him. During duocast he somehow gives me the feeling he finds himself more important than the players, the cocaster and the game. (even I know he doesnt) And when a co-caster or discussion partner says something that doesnt fit in his opinion he ignores it or just starts some over the top fake laugh in a bit too obvious way.
But don't get me wrong, and sorry Day if this feels like bashing since I respect you a lot. Nobody could do dailies better than him, but let the guy stick to doing what he does best. he's probably the best solo caster, but for me he's definately not a great duo caster for a big tournament like NASL or GSL.
