Also the sound quality is really bad. I'm pretty sure its not the mics, most likely its the post-processing/encoding.

at this point I only show up to watch the stream when Idra plays and thats it. GSL is far and above better than the NASL at his point in time. Baring a real life issue, Idra has to be pissed he came back to NA for this.

My only gripe is the background music while Gretorp & Inc talk is too loud.

He's analyses are good and I would not mind listening to him from time to time as a guest but NOT as a regular caster. Another problem I find with iNcontrol as a caster for NASL is that he's a caster AND a player/contestant therefore I don't find it fair for the other players since iNcontrol has access to all the replay files and "inside" knowledge. I'm not saying he is cheating but is a BIG conflict of interest. Those jokes are ok when Jeff makes them once a week on State of the Game, but not on a daily basis. The "caster = player" issue doesnt seem right to me either. On April 25 2011 12:03 maganez wrote: Background music while casters are talking is just distracting. I dont know if any other broadcast has music in their non-game analysis. What is the point of that anyways? I also think the NASL has one other problem and that is the problem of DRAMA. There is no drama in the NASL because it is 9 weeks and everyone plays once every week and the first few weeks wont be that dramatic, because there are no games which "must be won to stay in the competition". Sure there are players who are gathering up wins and dont lose and will be on top of their group in the end, but that is all a gradual development which simply takes far too long.

This is a travesty. In all seriousness though, the NASL is off to a pretty rocky start, and the IGN Proleague being made of rainbows and awesome isn't helping, but I think it'll be a learning experience for everyone involved. Things like audio, stream quality, production values, i'm not an expert on, but they do seem a little sub-par, and it seems to really stand out (moreso than... the games.) But fix that damned "G" on the banner, for the love of God please.

Jokes when casting. It shows unprofessional-ism when making up jokes on the spot at the end of the game. Stop giving cliche jokes! Sound quality. It has been addressed many times but nothing is done properly to fix the quality. The background music. Turn it down. I can barely hear the analysis of the game with the freaking music blasted! edit: Also Gretorp, your casting has changed since you entered NASL. When you casted online tournaments, it was way way better than your NASL casting. You can say that gretorp looks "fake" when casting for NASL.

Although I don't agree with your disapproval of Geoff, I do agree that there is an all-around lack of drama simply because there are so many games being played throughout the week and for 9 weeks. Almost like the beginning of the baseball season when everyone asks themselves: "Who cares if [this team] wins or loses?" I guess the ultimate solution to that is making it shorter and having less games: TSL only has 4 games a week and they are usually some of the most entertaining games of the month. I'm very interested in how NASL adjusts in Season 2. I don't mind all the mistakes this season besides lagging streams and mis-showing of games.

Sound is fixed too, sounds pretty good now. NASL is definitely upping it's game. If they are getting into tunes, would be cool to have their soundtrack listing posted somewhere as well (not that this should be a priority just yet!)
