Well, it's been almost 24 hours since I've been here in the office today, I arrived at about 7am, and it's close to 3am and I'm getting ready to go to bed. Why was I here so long?
I'm happy to say that our website is ready to go... we hope you enjoy it (at the time I'm writing this, its not up yet but it should be up within the next hour and I'm not gonna be awake for that so w/e!)
BUT, before I go to bed, I want to share with you all. Here's a sneak preview of the studio and stuff, hope you all enjoy. Also, http://nasl.tv (check in the next 30 min - 1 hour!)
so awesome... thanks for everything you guys have done for the community and eSports in general. My hat's off to you and everyone else involved with NASL!!!
Can't wait to see RET rip through his group!
EDIT:
ATTENTION NASL:
You might want to update the EG team roster to reflect Grubby's decision to part with the team.
Other then that, I'm literally JAW-DROPPINGLY amazed with the website. SUCH amazing content and background on ALL the teams and players... this is truly a historic moment for eSports, and I will remember this day for the rest of my life!!! Thank you SO MUCH. You've got a lifetime subscriber right here... WELL DONE PEOPLE!
Awesome stuff. Really excited, hope everything will go well and it's gonna be a huge success!
Could anyone explain what exactly the colored lights are for in the studio? The ones that change color? I'm think some kind of reflection on the skin or something and then with the colors you have means to adjust. But I don't understand why they are changing so much? Greenscreen can't be it right because the backside is black? Thanks.
doesnt look as cool as I thought it would be after all the hype about it, I imagined bigger studio with seats for spectators and stuff, and the setup makes it look like the clash of the titans thing kind of.
Anyway I know I'm spoiled with the GSL production so I wont judge before the first broadcast GL guys I'm looking forward to next week!
If inControl and Gretorp are watching on different PCs, how will they ensure the replays are synced? I had flashbacks of Clash of the Titans when viewing that vid.
Looking good! It's great to see that NASL is proving criticasters wrong so far. Let's hope you guys get to broadcast some great matches ^^ I'm pretty excited.

just saw the website, it looks hot!
spectators? its not a live broadcast like GSL. Think before you pose geez
Site looks really good. I like the player profiles especially the "Next Match" part. Makes it so much easier to follow the players and the league as a whole. All the pages with statistics are great as well and the team overview is useful as well. Really great stuff.
The site is clearly better, the players profiles are well-done, i hope you are planning to do more 'in-depth" stuff like for Idra in the future. But nice work.
Very nice job with the site, this definitely gave me a lot more confidence in the production values of NASL. Especially loving the statistics page and the individual stats on the player pages (assuming of course they'll be updated regularly!), and the articles about divisions and individual players.

The games will be casted live, recorded and then broadcasted later if I remember correctly.
In the Division 1 Preview, Kiwi is called a competative WC2, not 3 player. Also, the link to Artosis article is missing, but the editors note to add it is still there.
Is your email server up properly yet? I tried sending a message over to accounts@nasl.tv and got a '550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable or not local' error
I know its probably not a priority and I'm nitpicking but in the players section of the website some of the pictures are horribly stretched / shrunk, site looks good though.
This looks absolutely amazing. The site is FANTASTIC, great look and feel to it. You've created a world here, the way the news and spotlights flow out of the site it only helps personify the individuals and glorify their future matches. This will be of epic proportions.

Cool, I suddenly thought after I posted that that was the case. When I saw them casting in the vid I immediately thought the whole thing was based on replays, my bad.
Very nice site... and surprisingly (pleasantly surprisingly) there is not a single hate post on this thread. Hopefully people are finally pumped for NASL!
Website's looking really good. Awesome interviews by Gretorp, can't wait for even more interviews with the players! The studio setup looks really pro as well. My expectations just got a lot higher, hope you guys can deliver
for me as a not native English speaker it can be sometimes somewhat stressing to read the player spotlights since it is sometimes a bit hard to distinguish between player and author
If you would use different colors or sth for player speech it would be so much easier to read for me personally.

AFAIK you were correct, games are casted live FROM replays then recorded, touched up and later broadcast. I'd imagine they have some sort of replay solution however.

No, they are cast live and recorded. It's been said over and over in all the NASL threads. -.-
From the FAQ on NASL.tv: "Games will not be cast from replays. The games will be cast as they are being played. After the cast, the videos will be sent for editing and will be broadcast in the evening."
Thank goodness the website is actually worth visiting now . There's a lot of nitpicky stuff that seem to have made it through editing (typos, some images looking stretched/blurry, etc.) but all-in-all it's looking great, and those little things should be ironed out as time passes. The layout's pretty easy to navigate and from what you have on there so far, it looks like there's going to be a lot of content to enjoy.
As far as the test-run video... well, the desk looks nice enough? I'm expecting to be impressed by the production quality of the entire show, so there's no way to make any judgments based on seeing a glimpse of where the commentators will sit (which will only be one of many elements of the final product). It was a neat little behind-the-scenes.
On a side note, I read some player spotlight articles, and unless I'm not looking properly, it doesn't seem like there's a listed author for the article. Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to look for it but as the articles include some first-person perspective/opinion, I was a bit surprised that there was nobody credited for the piece.
Edit: I also forgot to mention that the articles are a bit disorganized. They're all up in the News section, which is fine, but it seems odd that there isn't a separate section for the written content. For example, assuming more news knocks the current articles off the front page, I'd have to go to, say, Artosis's player profile and then the news tab to find his Spotlight article. If I'm wondering who else has a Spotlight written for them, I'd have to browse each player individually and check. And I honestly have no idea how I'd find the other articles (group previews, or that "Losing" one that seems unrelated to anything else on the website, etc.) if they're knocked off the News page. If this is the finished layout for the website (don't know if it is or not) I think your articles will get a lot fewer reads due to this inconvenient accessibility issue.

are you sure? I think they really observe the game. Otherwise it would be pretty silly to have penalties for the players for being late.
Yeah loving the website as others have said. Especially this page: http://nasl.tv/Teams Despite following SC2 since forever I really didn't know much about the teams. Like Dignitas is based in England?! Never knew that :p
Talking of which TL needs to get a higher res banner to NASL because their logo looks crap in comparison.
Will they do like the tsl and have maps that hides who wins and who the player is facing? If not I suspect there will be plenty of leaked results throughout the competition.
On a positive note, the website is at a brief run through very well done, better than most other sc2 tournament sites out there. So good job on that.

Even if they don't observe it makes sense to enforce a time. Players are getting busier and busier as these events grow in size and really in importance (both in terms of money and prestige) and it wouldn't do to have a late player screw up another person's schedule.
That said they could possibly have an observer or referee, but they will most certainly do their casts from replays, as they have stated before.
Website looks amazing, better than most big sports websites in terms of getting to results and standings and just the content you want to see in general. Very intuitive to browse and if it will be updated well with the format it has now it'll be just fantastic. Very interesting to see the production studio, not at all how I had imagined production studios but exactly like it should be when I thought about it a little bit
Ps. semi off-topic question but iirc nasl stated that all games will be played on the NA server right? I can't seem to find the source and I need to know what server the games will be played on for my bets:D
The stretched pictures are because the people who sent the pictures sent them in in wrong dimensions... Apparently this is the case for most oGs players

Have you read the faq? Go do it. Straight from it:

I destinctly remember Xeris make a post saying this is the reason they won't have sync issues like they had for the Idra Jinro showmatch.
All the oGs player pictures look absolutely horrible. Is it possible not to stretch them?
Really awesome site other than that though. The "next match" as you click on each player's bio, the schedule, seeing the matchups, getting the bio, awesome.
Wow, really looking good, lots of great info on the site. I have to say, I've been kind of skeptical of NASL til now, but seeing things start to come together a bit is getting me more hyped. Really looking forward to the season starting next week, going to go back to the site later and read through everything. Good work!
very sick... I love the player profiles with next match and assuming player profiles will hold match history as well as links to vods/replays. It also might be cool to have the player profile link to interviews or spotlights done by nasl.
EDIT: lol just saw that it already has everything i said. Dunno how i missed all of that.

nonono, games are casted LIVE, touched up then broadcasted then next day, they are not cast from replays.
So, that site just took up a solid two hours of my life w. head crushing content. Kinda awesome, really nice intuitive design. Cannot wait for the games and from ive seen the excellent work being put into the game. A+!
I hope Nasl is a massive hit the only thing im dubious of is the casters. any big event in Na needs Day9. don't get me wrong i like listening to Incontrol commentate for Gosucoaching clan league and i watch hes stream almost always but i think this is kindof big headed of him to try and take this on as the main caster with no big tournament casts under hes belt. If Incontrol wanted to be the main caster he should have looked into making hes right hand man a well known commentating figure in Na esports DjWheat would be a good choice or even JP with Incontrols play by play and JPs rapport with the main caster would be good.
I hope the Nasl all the best and thanks Xeris for posting

Congratulations, you just killed Day[9]
Nay seriously it'd be amazing if he could do it but the NASL is pretty much a daily league, with a ton of games. Day would also have to be in the studio every night on top of maintaining his daily. And then he would also be still doing everything else, MLG, Dreamhack etc.
I don't think Day can handle NASL along with everything.
Really impressed with the website. seems like a small thing, but a really well laid out website could help make or break this league. It's really easy to navigate and I like how almost every page is interlinked to another that seems like relevant (for example in a Player Spotlight, it has the link to their next opponents page right there) So far the production value is top notch and if this is kept up in all areas then I'll be a subscriber

Incontrol as a caster is pretty awesome actually.
I don't care much for him as a player (sorry), but he is a great caster, funny and insightful.
Day[9] kinda over exaggerates too much anyway and caters 99% to the noobs just like his brother does.
That website looks absolutely fantastic! Well worth the wait, and good job guys =D. There looks to be tons of content I'll need to go through when I get back from school =P.
I really want to know how the VODs are going to be displayed. I am not going to be able to watch the games live, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I have paid for the subscription to see these VODs. Please provide a way to access the VODs we paid for without accidentally seeing spoilers (including number of games in the BO3).
I have lost interest in the GSL lately. I find the NA/EU players much more interesting to watch. This looks really great and i will buy NASL pass if it looks good the first week.
Outstanding website. You're already upstaging MLG. :-) Whoever is writing your content is great--it's nice to see such clear, clean prose on a website like this (I'm a former college teacher ).
I think the only issue I was saw was some the aspect ratios on the player pictures being off, but that's a minor thing I'm sure you'll fix.

Hey guys, I'm writing content for Division 1. I did the player spotlight on Artosis and the Division 1 preview for the site launch. I know there's some formatting errors and stuff still, but I'm sure they'll get figured out pretty quickly here. If there's any particular storylines you'd like to see covered in the coming weeks (related to Division 1) feel free to make suggestions here. Glad everybody is enjoying the content
Not a fan of the website. To much clutter about the players up front. Remember people are visiting your site mainly to WATCH games (not to research them). Room for VoDs and streaming link should be the first thing we have access to. Change the format around a bit and it will be great.
Really nicely done! Would be cool if all aplication vids are there as well, perhaps add to the players section? But just a small point, nothing I can really complain about

You should ask about getting some credit for your work Puzzling decision to not publish articles with author credited. Not sure if this was a conscious decision or oversight.
Haven't read all the articles but you might consider standardizing format for coverage a bit more? For example I just read the group 1 and then group 3 previews and was surprised when reading the latter at the lack of "prediction" and "players to watch" sections. The content is similar when you read the whole thing, but it did seem a little uncoordinated. Then I clicked on group 5, which has another style of presentation as well. Esp. since everything seems to be published under the NASL organization name instead of individual writers' names, the stylistic differences surprised me.

There are different writers for each division, so there are going to be some differences. I'm sure there's still some kinks they need to work out.

I realize that. I guess it's the difference between presenting a consistent body of work as an organization and a collection of articles from individual writers. Neither one is necessarily right, but I suppose I assumed you guys wanted the former rather than the latter.

To be honest I'm not really sure who made that decision or if it was just an oversight, but as a writer it personally doesn't really matter to me one way or another. I just wanted a way to contribute to the community / eSports however I could and have some fun doing it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Artosis piece, definitely the most well written out of the initial batch. Looking forward to your take on the rematch of War3 champs Moon vs Grubby.
But i think you guys could work on player profile photos, since many of them are stretched and not looking good, it's a small effort, but really important.

It's a opinion that seems baseless, bring atleast 1 argument. Yes alot of his daylies are "noob catered" but alot of them are not, and when it comes down to tournament casting (which is what we discuss here anyways right?) I just can't see how it is "noob catered". What some people fail to see is that Day9 is often doing both shoutcasting and analytical observations during tournament casts, which can be bad for the overall casting value, but to be frank he does it because he's good at both. Shoutcasting and analyzing are not the same and should be viewed differently. I can somewhat understand if this confuses people when viewing his casting performance, but saying it's just catered to noobs is just straight up wrong imho.
That he exaggerates etc is ofc an opinion I dont care much about and wasnt what I was replying to anyways.
This website is excellent. I was somewhat skeptical about how it would turn out, as the place holder site had a few glitches, thetwitter was pink on white for me (unreadable), and the initial clash of the titans had a few issues.
However, the updated site is excellent, and i look forward to seeing what else the NASL produces, things look very promising.
Looks great! Very happy with the look of the site, and I look forward to going through the content later this evening. Reconfirms my decision to buy the Season Pass early. GJ and GL NASL!

They are doing the casts live, They cast the games the day before and almost play a recording the next day with all the commentary and all their production stuff. Thats what I read could have changed since then.

If you really want Esports to grow we need more than 3 casters that are considered top "tier" Give them a chance I am sure everything will go very smoothly and be pretty amazing. I understand your fears but we won't last long if we only have Day[9], DjWheat, and JP Casting everything. Best of luck to everyone and can't for the exciting matches on the 12th
The site looks awesome but if I could make a small suggestion, I’ve always enjoyed seeing the nations flag next to the player names. Since is hard to keep track of every progamer; my suggestions is, when you click on the view match up under the schedule tab. if we could see their nations flag under or next to their name. I’ve always found it fascinating just how diverse the SC2 players are. Again is nothing major just something I would really like to see. Btw, great job on the site!!
Nice job with the website. Really liking the full comprehensiveness with the player bio's, standings and schedule really nice and accessible ^_^
I went ahead and watched the sheth interview and found it funny how he says kiwikaki lol, didn't realise what he was saying at first >.> + Show Spoiler +
The new site looks awesome. So easy to navigate between players and matches plus all the stats are broken out for everything. Also noticed on TLO's page that he is listed as terran. Knew he went Terran for MLG but was still hoping he might stay random for NASL. Either way I'm excited to see his games and every one elses. At least all of them that I can squeeze in.
The Articles are amazing. I only read the one interviewing Artosis and the one about division 1. Both are well written and humorous. I love it. Great job!.
As some others have mentioned, correct the aspect ratio of some of the player profile pictures and proofread the player bios (Darkforce...) and you're good to go.
Hopefully I can make it to the bank this afternoon and pick up a pre-paid Visa so I can buy a pass (I lack a credit card of my own, they are over rated )
I really like the site, the only thing that I think is weird is that on the player bios it seems like the end of everyone is with "It's an honor to have them". Just seems a little forced to me.
Holy shit at the website. I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of everything so far. I am REALLY looking forward to the NASL. It keeps looking better and better, good luck guys!
I had High expectations for NASL, considering how zealously iNcontrol was hyping it up, and just the website itself exceeded my expectations. I hope this is a small preview to the quality that we will see from the tournament, and if it is, then its 25 dollars well spent for me :D.
I am stoked for this!! However, just something I think. I dont know how only you two are going to cast ALL these games. I can't see you making it through the entire season.
There's a few things that need polish (Typos people have pointed out, the group previews each seem to have their own format and Group 2 is mysteriously missing) but aside from small nit-picky things, it's a very good looking site which already has a nice amount of content on it. This will probably allay some fears and entice a few more people who were on the fence about paying for the subscription.
Nice. One question I would have is about the placement of the logo on the backdrop. It's blocked when iNc and Gretorp sit down, so you can't read it. Is that intended, or would you consider moving it higher or changing the camera angle? Best of luck!

Awesome job on the site and the studio. Watching and reading some of the interviews there, all really solid content. I especially like the idea of "Team previews" alongside player previews, that little extra detailed backstory adds something and I imagine makes the teams happy too - that little extra exposure never hurts.
Just hurry up and get paypal sorted so I can give you my money
Player pictures: I asked all teams and players to send me pictures in a certain dimension that would fit our website. Some people *cough* didn't do this, so their pictures look bad when resized.
Awesome website, it exceeded the expectations I had tbh. Only thing that I would say needs to be changed (besides some spelling mistakes) are some of the profile pictures. The Startale pictures are PERFECT and that's sort of what the NASL should try to get from each player. Although there are a lot of good pictures out there (TLO, Moon, Tyler, etc) Some of them need to be changed right away though (the oGs ones are all stretched, The fanatic ones look like really crappy wallpapers, etc) Fanatic has the right concept though, they just need to replace their crappy quality player picture with a better one. I think some teams should put a little more effort into their team pictures. ex, haypros picture should have a background similar to TLO's and he can be making some sort of pose (rather than just a webcam picture)
Things like that are what some spectators(like me) would like to see from a production as big as the NASL. It may not seem like a lot but with the TSL the drawings really did it for me presentation wise.
Just one thing Xeris will there be a login for the site? so that people can make comments or recommend good games etc.. ?
And since i payed for the stream will the HD stream and access be run by justion.tv? because i can see it incorporated in the site without client accounts..
Good god that website is fantastic. There's so much information to be had (rankings, map statistics, player profile including next matchup highlight, etc), and if you guys are really good about updating everything in a timely fashion, I can see the website revolutionizing the way an eSports tournament is presented. Nice work.
Edit: As far as maintaining the website, I think little things like updating profile pictures with better shots [i.e. improving over the stretched oGs pictures] will go a long way, especially with the huge emphasis placed on the player story. Small tweaks like that made continuously over time will give your product a polished feel and keep the fans coming back.
I am desperately missing a link to the tournament bracket (how is NASL ran?), the prizepool, the map pool, etc. etc. I'd like all the info distributed by WellPlayed and posted here on the forums/twitter to be easily accessible.

haha it sometimes amazes me how bad some progamers are with computers and technology in general.
Still, it's nothing that couldn't be fixed with 5 minutes in photoshop/gimp, so no reason to have them looking like that. I'm sure the affected players won't mind. ^_^

Yeah I am also getting this error. The first few minutes I was on the site it was fine though, not sure what the problem is. Other then that the site looks fantastic, I am really happy with all of the player related content on the site and I am looking forward to watching more interviews and reading more articles when this little bug is fixed =)
Edit: The error does seem to be fixed now. I just finished watching the Sheth interview, hes definitely one of my favorite players in the tournament based on personality, such a cool guy! =)
you guys did well. I am really impressed. the website is straightforward and easy to use. unlike mlg......which is a joke. try to find sc2 vods on mlg lol
You already have events that can be exported to Google Calendar... How about an actual calendar URL that we can add to our Google Calendars, which has ALL of the events? Would be incredibly useful... Also, the font for the main links looks a bit off in Chrome on Windows 7, very aliased. Otherwise awesome job!
Incontrol may want to speak to a speech coach/ learn to use his diaphragm. All that speaking takes a surprising toll on you if you don't do it right. Tasteless didn't start seeing one until his voice was blown.
Soon the balance will sway back to gaming as the special events end, I get some time off, and I cut back to just commentating Code S,” Artosis said of his ability to find practice time. “I have considerably more time off right before NASL starts. When my days off begin I plan to play about 9 hours a day or so.
I do have some regular practice partners and people I’m talking with constantly to level up my full understanding of Protoss, as I’m still relatively new to it.
Now THAT'S what I wanted to hear! Very good news, I look forward to watch Division 1.
Just so you guys know it says in his bio that Zenio is a terran player...
and that is only the first bio I read so that's not a good sign at all.
MC and Zenio's photos are clearly distorted. I understand they may not have submitted pictures of the correct size but surely your technicians could fix the photos.
Yes there are a few grammar mistakes and awkward sentences throughout the writing, though the site is well designed and its easy to find stuff, so props on that, I'll definitely be watching.
I haven't read through the whole thread but here are my thoughts:
1. Overall, looks great 2. On MC's bio, his picture is really distorted 3. It claims MC won two GSL code S seasons and got 2nd in another one. In the code S season he didn't win he lost to Jinro far earlier than the finals though. Everytime MC made it to the finals he has won. The closest he has gotten otherwise was in this most recent GSL, in which he lost in the Ro4 (and that isn't a code S tournament).
EDIT:
Also on the description of oGs you state "oGs partnered with North Ameican Team Liquid". I was not under the impression that TL was a North American team, having so many European players in it. On this fact I could be completely wrong though.
The site looks really great overall, I'm impressed!
One criticism I have is the main article thing cycles way too fast. I'm trying to read the description on one and it moves on to the next article in the cycle. Annoying! It only stays around ~6 seconds, I'd suggest 10 or even 15 seconds. Just my two cents.
I love the look of the site. How they have a description of each player with their records and stats just like Liquidpedia. Very Proffesional and well done.
Cool, getting hyped^^ I really like Gretorps commentating. I hope he and incontrol will develop quickly as commentators. It looked like incontrol was doing the observing for the cast? Maybe it would be better to have a behind the scenes guy.
Not really a huge fan of the website, I like em a bit simpler. That's just my taste though.
The website is INCREDIBLE, imo. I love that there are descriptions for every player and team, and that you'll keep stats of all of them. It's obvious how much work has gone into this. I am extremely impressed, and my opinion of NASL has done a 180. I really hope it turns out great.

Hey, I wrote both of these articles. If you go to the News section you can see the Artosis article.
the website is friggin Amazing so much Information and good coverup on the Players. easy to find pretty much anything not like the MLG Labyrinth of Doom Website ^^
I just paid my $20. This is so much nicer and easier to navigate than the GOM tv website.
One thing I'd like to point out: When paying, it should give you a confirmation screen saying exactly how much will be charged to your CC before you actually initiate the transaction. (For example, I wasn't 100% sure my coupon code was even being applied until I got the confirmation email.)
I absolutely love the website. It's so easy to find any information you need - standings, statistics, schedule and what not. It even says who the next opponent is, when you look at a players profile! And all the content! *yum yum yum* GomTV could learn of this.
Can't wait for this to get started, and it makes me so happy that you will broadcast it in EU time as well (Even though it's a replay, but who cares). And the first match is Grubby vs. Moon? I just e-jizzed in my virtual pants.
hmm how are these other Payment Methods via Paypal coming along wanted to subscripe can only pay via CC = no thanks, I am from Germany either Paypal payment or nothing.
No offense, but the site looks horrible. I understand that you were going for that "SC2-style" theme, but really, have the last 5 years on the internet shown you nothing? Simplicity is the way to go in design. Look at Google, Facebook, etc. Hell, even look at GomTV.net.
Great content, but the design is just unprofessional looking and off-putting.
I'm not through the new website yet but I feel the urge to tell you guys this is fantastically amazing. Very well done. I will definitely subscribe now.
Site looks great, especially loving all the stats pages and player profiles. Wasn't really interested in NASL before this, but now I'm actually considering buying a ticket.
Will wait for first few days to play out and see what the reactions will be.
Very good... nice website.. well presented, good amount of content, sleek, straightforward, great features. Overall awesome stuff.
After the whole showmatch/initial website stuff, this is great. The video also shows you guys are pulling some major efforts in production value, which is awesome! Congratulations!

I would have to disagree. The information appears to be easy to access and digest while the general aesthetic is still eye catching and yet not intrusive. For a tournament that is trying to get off the ground, adding some flair to the site instead of reducing itself to a minimalistic and concentrated state is probably the better of the two choices.
As time progresses and they have more content history to provide to the viewer, perhaps they can adjust the design to enhance the information presented rather then just look nice. But for a new major tournament trying to attract an audience, I think it succeeds.
As for my critiques, from an early point of view I think perhaps some of the player images need rescaling. Also perhaps some touch-ups or some kind of uniformity to enhance the professional aspect of the game instead of as social "facebook-y" kind of look. But that last bit could be personal preference.
*edit*
As an aside, I really like your emphasis on story and personalizing the matches and players a bit more instead of just being a generic screen name. I think that is something you really nailed awesomely.
I am first to hold my hand up and say I was one of the critics with the way the NASL went about their announcement process and such but have to admit looking at the website today I am really impressed with the updated content plus it all looks and feels like an official franchise/brand now.
The only thing am still not sold on at the moment is Gretorp casting, I found him a little awkward to listen to during the clash of the titans.
Props to everyone involved at NASL, Season pass bought and looking forward to next week!

TL def isnt a NA team. most players are eu, naz is eu etc. its a global team.
so long as they don't try to green screen things as it looks like they are not that alone should help...hope they have the bandwith for the immense amount of viewers they will probably have day 1.
Fantastic website, TONS of stats and break downs of teams/players/maps/races...everything. If the broadcasts and games(they look promising) are even half as good I think we'll be seeing NASL around for a long time.
Oh man, if the website gets updated frequently (like updated after every night of games) the website is gonna be so goddamn sick, with all the player/matchup/map statistics and such... damn, so cool.
On April 09 2011 02:58 KgKris wrote: Most importantly, what are the casters wearing??

Practice run, so probably hoodie and tshirt. It's safe to assume they wouldn't wear blazers to a practice. You don't wear a tuxedo to the wedding rehearsal.
Very impressed, and glad I bought my subscription a few days ago.
There may be some differences of opinion regarding the look (although most people seem to like it), but very well done as far as content and navigation.
Very nice site. I tend to prefer a more minimalistic design, but it's so easy to find what you want on it that it doesn't really matter at all. Plenty of content and nicely organized features!
Didn't think I would but I went and bought a subscription.
The "player" section is exactly what has been missing in other leagues. The player centric nature of the content seem to be a nice differentiating aspect of the NASL. Hopefully they can continue to turn out good content!
Wow that website is good. It's got shit tone of stats, descriptions of players/teams and they've even got photo's of all the player's in their team shirts. NASL is off to a very good start in my books, I'm now tempted to buy a ticket but I think I'll wait for day1 to decide :D

Credit cards are a lot less common in most of Europe, usually if you are running an internet business and want to cater to Europeans you need to accept Paypal, Moneybookers, and a few country specific payment processors.

I think a lot of people are finding themselves in those type of shoes right now. People were too over the top critical now, and I'm sure I could go through peoples posts and just see "oh yeah, here it is a month ago you were dogging NASL and now you're posting here about the site being awesome".
It is fine for people to be judgmental if the final product (presentation) sucks, but the fact is it's not. Now we'll see next week if I have been putting my foot in my mouth this whole time, but i'd feel safe betting some cash that i'm not going to regret my words.
Here is a cool bit of "news" regarding NASL and the YouTube casters.
According to Khaldor, each of the YouTube casters (Artosis, HD, Husky, TotalBiscuit, & Khaldor) are assigned one of the 5 divisions and gets to pick one of the games (not the whole series) each day to cast and post on their YouTube account.
This is a great idea, imo. It gets content out on the web to lots of different eyeballs besides those that read TL.

I think it's just preference tbh... not that people don't have a creditcard...
someone should really fix up the player portraits. some of them are totally out of proportions. also, pretty sure Lazarus Gaming's logo is not marine/marauders attacking into canons in a choke lol
The website looks very nice... and most importantly, information seems very readily available. I can't wait to be able to check out the player's statistics which is what I am usually most interested in since I don't have time to watch many games.
Edit: And of course the interviews are great. I liked reading Artosis' interview just to see how he feels about playing in the NASL. I guess that is a pretty obvious response, but I figured I would say it anyway.
I must say, the website is quite impressive. Simple, easy to navigate and looks professional. The studio seems pretty cool as well. Although, from what I can tell, the room where the casters sit looks pretty creepy! I would have to say I'm impressed overall.
Edit: Yes, as others have stated as well, I would suggest going through the site and player bios to correct the numerous spelling and grammatical errors as well. Still a marked improvement.
Glad they got things up and running... it was starting to get a little close to launch time with no remake on the site which was starting to scare me... X_X. Regardless, good job on the redesign and hopefully this all goes well for you guys as we progress through the season!
Wish you the best of luck as the success of leagues like this bodes well for everyone else involved, my own company included.
I don't like the whole "space theme" thing on the website, it doesn't look serious to me. Like some other poster said, keep it simple like Facebook, GomTV etc. AND KEEP IT BRIGHT! Right now it looks so.. meh with all the black and "metal".
But all tabs on the site with information about the players, stats and stuff are great.
I am actually astounded by the huge level of professionalism displayed in the NASL site's revamp. Solid player bios for all 50 players, descriptions for every single team, FAQs that are actually useful, and just great organization all around.
If you really want Esports to grow we need more than 3 casters that are considered top "tier" Give them a chance I am sure everything will go very smoothly and be pretty amazing. I understand we need more than Day 9/Wheat/JP in the west like i said i am a fan of Incontrol i think he's on equal or exceeds Days knowledge of the game and i love hes quick witt it's just that this is a massive tournament and from experience i know that incontrol suffers with fatigue when casting for a couple of hours and just goes quieter and quieter the longer the casts go on unlike Day that keeps the tempo and yes sometimes chats shit and muddles it up but he's always full of energy. I just hope Incontrol hasn't bitten more of than he can chew
In love with the site already, I'm actually blown away because I was starting to feel cautiously optimistic after seeing everyone shit on NASL. The backstory of the players along with the "losing sucks" write-up has convinced me to buy a ticket. Now I just need to find the time to watch 9000 Bo3 on NASL, stay up til 4 a.m. and watch May season of GSL and watch Day9 dailies. Good luck having a social life.
I absolutely love the site. I can see this growing into something truly special. Well done nasl. Can't wait for the games to start. I'm so excited :D. I especially like the individual player bio with all the areas that are prompt for vods. It looks very well organized and above any other starleagues website, in terms of navigation of vods. I also think the incorporation of statistics (i.e versus t versus p). This will make for great storylines later down the road where you can pull up statistics about a player vs any race. Great job

I just wanted to take a second and say that the production quality and content coming from you guys looks absolutely amazing. I am so excited for this event and the effect it's going to have on eSports. Definitely will be buying a season ticket, keep up the good work.
Now just imagine if all this plays out perfectly and a lot of people become familiar with SC2 and Blizzard makes HotS an amazing expansion and the game becomes even 10 times better than it is..... Omg that would be a new esport era. Im so hyped for this!!1!
Not sure who to point this out to, nor if you already are aware, but on the EG team page - http://nasl.tv/Teams/Roster/evil-geniuses - the writeup has Grubby and Tasteless as still part of the team. Thanks for my little shoutout though!
Awesome site, NASL production values are so legit! I'm so hyped for this more than any league now because of it -- you guys 100% rape MLG already, probably will be even better than GSL (only thing they have are tastosis and gosu koreans, admittedly hugeeee selling points) but NASL looks AWESOME and i'm stoked.
Fucking cool website, it's awesome to be able to look at each player bio and see what their next match is against. What a nice and unexpected surprise.

I agree it is a great way to integrate YouTube into the NASL!
Again, while this has not been officially announced, Khaldor was talking about it during his stream of the GCPL Individual League Finals.
Looks so awesome, can't wait for this to kick off. Sadly wished this was like a Gom event with players in boxes and stuff but I guess that will come in the future sometime :D.
Sorry to maybe sound silly, but who is giving all those money? I mean I wouldn't want this to turn out to be the biggest fail/scam of all time in e-sports history.
$100.000 is a lot of money without any sponsors to contribute.
$100,000 is paid for if 4k subscribers. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess 8-10k for first season. A conservative guess of 8k would be 200,000$ income. That pays for Season 1 prize pool with $100,000 costs and expenses.
I'm super excited, a way larger team than I expected actually. Also, I cannot believe how incredibly bright it is there! I know that NYC is gloomy, but do you have to make it feel even more so with your copious amounts of sun!

They have private investors though that secures the $100,000 prize pool. Money made off of subscribers will be put to pay the people working the NASL.

Yep I realise that, my point was that at $25 tickets, NASL won't struggle to cover costs as long as they pull the people.
If it takes off and costs don't drop, then 1 of 2 things will happen:
1) Those involved in organisation will get very rich very fast or 2) So much money available to be reinvested in esports will mean it will have NO problems breaking into a more mainstream audience (and generating more revenue)
I anticipate the 2nd outcome to be more likely of course, I have currently every faith in the NASL team.
Looks really nice guys. You have no idea how excited I am, and i should encourage all of you to go to their website and watch their Grubby interview because it is just really good
The site is unbelievably nice. A ton of content - and I cant wait til a lot of games start getting played so we can get some interesting stats on maps, player win percentages vs race, etc.

I believe they said they found the money in random wishing wells or pools or something like that.
That's why there was never a Starcraft pro league in NA before SC2 came out. They were all out searching the globe for loose change to fund it during all the years of BW.
I wish there was less theorycrafting on these forums about the finances of NASL. You have no idea how much money they need to break even or make a profit. Stop pulling numbers from the air. There are countless other variables and we don't know anything about their business model. Just stop with the 4,000 subscribers and they're making 100k to cover prizes!! Congratulations on your ability to multiple but you're probably wrong.
The new website is amazing and really modern, but I think you should make a new photo of each player instead of finding random pics over the internet. Make a photo and then have the NASL logo in the background or similar.
TBH am kind of put off by the amount of games being played, i just dont have the time to watch them all and i dont like picking and choosing what games to watch because then that just ruins the tournement for me. I wanna see how all players progress but its going to be impossible for me with these schedule's. I appreciate the amount of work and effort put into this, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing and this is it, its just too much for me, its like i have to invest my life to it, literally.
EDIT: is it possibly for maybe a weekly(or even daily) highlight video of the games, like an in depth highlight not just a quick run through of the winners?

Daily highlights (~10 minutes) would be fantastic. So would a weekly show (~30-60min, like a daily?) summing up the week's matches and what's coming up the following week.
Great website!! I had some doubts due to the old site but this some reinforce some confidence in NASL organizers for me. Also, props for putting up player profiles, statistics pages, and player interviews up there and making the site easy to navigate. Very much looking forward to the NASL opening and if the production quality is of the level of the site, I would definitely buy an HD pass.

Dude, this is just like hockey, footall, baseball any sport.. you're not gonna be able to watch every game. But..... when the tournament actually starts (Playoffs) those will be the games you wanna see.
I bought the pass knowing fully that I would not be watching every game, I do look forward to watching the good ones (which i'm sure will be pointed out on TL) and the RO16.
Don't be put off by the amount of games, be grateful that there will be great games that we can choose to watch.
website is pretty fantastic especially the player profiles and stats. looking forward to it and thanks for being responsive to my PM's about the pre-order Xeris!

I noticed!
But I really like the new NASL website, looks very good and I'm pleasantly surprised by all the information on the players and interviews and that they'll have some detailed statistic pages for the players.

I totally agree that some kind of weekly highlight show would be awesome, and actually definitely needed.
But I think we need to get out of the mindset that, if someone does not watch every match of every major SC2 tournament, then somehow they are not a "real" SC2 fan.
Keep in mind that major NFL (American Football) fans only can watch about 25% of total games, and serious baseball fans probably see less than 10% of their home teams games (since there are 162 games per season and each is 3 hours long). So the fact that there are too many games for any one person to watch is evidence of e-sports maturation.
Would be nice if on the websites players from the team not selected for NASL would be added to the "Roster" Section of the teams page. Perhaps with an indication on the portraits for those who are currently active in the league.
Not a large thing by any means, I just feel it would look more complete and give a better scope of what teams are in competition.

People will find a reason to complain about ANYTHING these days. Holy shit.
Are you a fan of any other sports? If you are, do you watch every single game that's played during the regular season?
I'll bet you are, and I bet you don't.
When the top seeds are figured out and the elimination rounds start, that's when YOU will be happy. Until then, take it for what it is, and skip most of the regular season just like the average sports fan does with any athletic sport.
I'm looking at the bracket here and I don't understand. The season pass is 25 dollars and that's for 5 weeks of games. But is the bracket going to contine? I mean that's just 1 guy vs. another guy. Are the winners of these 5 weeks going to battle each other until there is a winner? How does it work? Please someone PM me with the answer. I don't think I'll buy a season pass until I understand more about how the bracket is put together.

+1, I would greatly appreciate a highlight show or something weekly to showcase battles/upsets and interviews or something. Especially since with my busy sched i might not be able to tune into many of the games Anyways i'm so excited for this to start!
loook at those stats pages! i'm excited.. put me down for a $20 subscription.
I agree with some of the other users here.. i think a bright/clean website is better. In general. Although I really like the layout, just think the style should be refined.

Excellent website and writeups for the players (<3 artosis). If the stream can be of a steady quality I can totally see NASl becoming huge, possibly bigger than GSL

If the stream launches without any flaws, it'll blow my mind. I doubt there have ever been any events/streams which have launched without some issues, so if they can pull it off.. wow.
Extremely well done website. Everything is easy to find and the statistics to be featured on the website look awesome. Race stats and map stats for each player sound awesome!
Can't even put Into words how excited I am for this. To the people who are still "meh" about NASL, how can you not be excited for the sheer amount of AMAZING players and games we are going to see? The production values are just extra, but having said that, it Really seems like Xeris and co are working hard to bring an Awesome product.
While I am extremely satisfied so far, I couldn't let this little gem go unnoticed: "That pair are staring down fierce rivals in Germany’s own HasuObs and GoOdy. Both men are still going strong in the TSL with wins over Liquid’HuK and IMNesTea respectively in the First round. Strong mechanics and good game Sense mark these players as serious contenders for the top spot of group four."
Small grammatical errors aside, listing mechanics as one of GoOdy's strengths? Come on now... We don't want blatantly untrue fluff in the previews. A little proofreading would be nice.
I am seriously hoping that people change their commentating style to match the more mainstream sports media, e.g. playbyplay commentator + color commentator (for analysis). I really don't like this whole monologue thing for 2 mins at a time and then trading off back and forth between commentators. Maybe there's too much sc going on at one time for this to be possible, but i really think the format is a little awkward. just sayin.
I'm a little worried they are banking their money on two lesser known casters, who while awesome members of the community, have little experience playing the role of a reporter. There is a pretty massive difference between an 'editorial' type position and a 'reporter' type position and while I find Incontrol hilarious, he's always been a more editorial type guy to me.
Guess we will have to see, with so much hype and so much money riding on their venture, and blizzard backing it, I know everyone is probably losing much sleep getting ready.
Pretty cool that you partnered with wellplayed.org for the sake of both I hope they prepare properly to handle some traffic. Because when the site was mentioned on sotg, the traffic afterwards dominated the site.
The text on the artosis interview page is hard to read. Grey text on grey background isn't all that great.
Otherwise, its looking amazing, and I'll be buying a HD pass as soon as paypal support is added, and more importantly, when the next paycheck actually comes in
This is going to be sooo epic! every single of the divisoins are full of players to watch out for! the homepage is ver nicely done. kind of reminds me to BW. every single player has his own history and will have record u can actually find really hope the casts will be good as well. maby some nice visitor casters will help them oit, maby they dont need any. i dont yet know, but it will be so epic anyways. cant wait for tuesday^^

Yeah, thats a good way to look at it i suppose, I guess am just too used to watching sc2 tournaments in there entirety, like the GSL, TSL etc. It was kind of the same reason why i was put off MLG as well, maybe its just me I dunno, but am pretty sure its not.
This is sooo good. I'm sure there will be some bumps and bruises along the way, but you guys are off to a great start and I'm just excited to see how big this thing blows up.

Playing on the NA server doesn't prevent lag - it depends on where the people are playing from.
Is Xeris from Iran? I'm picturing some sort of ludicrous saudi-arbabian investor with a huge trust fund, except instead of investing into http://www.ferrariworldabudhabi.com/ he invests into SC 8)
Not gonna lie, browsing through the new website is getting me excited about NASL for the first time. Following everything up to this point I was interested, hoped it would be good, etc. But yeah.... now I'm getting pumped. Good job guys.
I'm so excited. To think, every day after class I can come home and watch my favorite players duke it out for hours. The quality of my life is going to improve on the 12th.

Get your head out from the sand and listen to what the response has been for the past three months. NASL is not casted from replays. The games are casted live and released a day later after production has been applied.
Its hard to express just my superb satisfaction at the NASL. For a tournament with a name called the North American Starleague, it sure had alot to live up to. Did we expect GSL quality? No.
But it's nearly what we got.
I go to the website, and I am utterly shocked. Clean format, easy to navigate site. At the the top is a spotlight of EG Idra, and I go and read it. While being an Idra fanatic I already know most of this stuff, I heartily appreciate the article for reiterating everything I would say to a would-be fan.
I look at the bottom, and there are at least 3(probably more) different interviews I can see.
The superb production value is amazing. It's truly a great event, and I am so pumped for it. Thank you NASL

Completely agree. I was getting frustrated with checking nasl.tv and it still being the old announcement version but I'm completely blown away by the current one. I was expecting absolutely impossible things from the website but it's completely more than I expected. Well done!!

I remember apollo saying something similar at the ugc cast and the other caster agreeing. Don't know how people came up with this but GoOdy admitted himself that his mechanics and speed are his main weaknesses, so changing this might be a good(y) idea.
That said the side rly looks awesome and hypes this thing so much more! :D
Please, Please, PLEASE, PLEASE! Do away with that dark gray text, it's horrible for readability. Either make it a much lighter gray or white, I get the stylistic appeal of it, but making your site usable is more important. It already looks great, but the text is really difficult to see. All you have to do is make a minor adjustment to your CSS and it will change everything.
The website has me incredibly excited about the tournament. I love the player and team profiles, and plan to track the match and map histories to geek out on my favorite players. Great to see interviews and original content involved aside from the matches.
If you're looking for feedback, I too would like to see a more consistent quality on the player pictures (PainUser, CrunCher, ViBe, Goody look great) and some minor corrections to paragraph spacing on player/team descriptions. Overall though I think it looks clean and am very impressed.
Super excited for the tournament to begin Tuesday. Eeeeeeee!!!

In this situation casters will cause lag... Cause White-Ra is still in korea and thx to TSL we know that Korea to NA is now laggy. So casters would give lag to players. To be honest in this series going with replays would be fine.
I'm so excited for NASL. I doubt I'll watch a high percentage of the games, but there's a few I'm really interested in, and I feel like I'd rather die than miss the finals
This is the most comprehensive group stage system I've ever heard of. The top 7 players who get out of this group system are going to be monsters, and so many beasts will come up into the next season! Such an exciting time!
Bad: Nada/MC/Zenio/Ensnare have profile pictures that need to be resized
Numerous spelling and grammar errors in the player profiles (eg: it should be Mouz not mouse in HasuObs profile)
Otherwise, well done! Obviously the site is the gateway to people who are buying passes and checking on stats. It is refreshingly ad and pop-up free, and I feel confident that it represents a quality product.
The website looks pretty awesome. My only complaint would be that the interface's graphics are still a little 'meh'. Namely the NASL logo and stuff surrounding it above the navigation buttons.
But, more importantly, I think you've created a website that is very functional, looks decent enough, and has cool content.
I give it a 4/5. Now that you've created something good, I'm sure you're noticing it's a little more troll proof (I notice less people trolling this thread than previous nasl ones) : )
Ehh... from what I saw, there are some things you need to change up. If your commentators are going to be on camera, they need to be raised up. They look hunched behind that desk and it just looks awkward and unprofessional. I know they will be dressed differently when you go live (I think), so thats not an issue, but the way they're seated looks bad.
Also, if youre only going to have one NASL logo, the commentators shouldn't be blocking it. It should be above their heads or in between them or something. The way you have it now, the way you look on screen is cluttered. One area has all the action and then there is a vast open space above where nothing is really happening.

That video is about 2 weeks old, we've made all those changes since that time :p
Yea, will paypal or pre-paid credit cards be a payment option?? My wife doesn't allow me to use our credit cards for online purchases (shes a little paranoid lol)
Please make it an option, I would love to buy the season pass and you guys could only gain from it
While I don't have any inside information, it seems to me that the reason WHY the NASL's website doesn't suck is because a 3rd-party company with expertise in the web design built it. In this case, it is a company named Web Advanced.
I would also like to point out that NASL is outsourcing its streaming and billing via Justin.tv, a very smart move in my opinion. In contrast, MLG does all its own streaming tech and we have seen the results so far (final judgment withstanding).
All of this leaves the NASL to create quality CONTENT and not have to worry about other technical issues. While I have never produced a TV show, it seems that NASL would have their hands full generating 3+ hours of content 6 days a week for 10 weeks.
I'm looking forward to seeing the NASL in action with all the split scenes and production value. I am also excited to see the site in action once the tournament starts - it looks like a great place to see whats going on between games etc.
Echoing the picture resizing on some of the koreans to make it real nice
I also feel like a little backlighting behind the interviewers would be a good idea. It looks like there is a lot of frontal light and it creates big shadows.
Anyway, excited for NASL to show why its going to be awesome!

It takes time and effort to Photoshop pictures, effort that isn't in infinite supply. Photoshoping the pictures would probably mean something else doesn't get done - that's kinda how those projects go. Maybe later on in the season as they get things settled they can fix the pictures ( or reinforce that players must follow directions :-\ ). After doing all that they'd probably have to get permission from the players, anyway, to post the pictures. At the end of the day, one of the players could very easily not see the e-mail or whatever and it's lost time.
Not to say they shouldn't adjust the pictures to not look horrid, but it's the classic "Saying someone should do X is easier than someone actually doing X."
Black background with light colored lettering is just a poor design. It strains the eyes. I find myself highlighting massive blocks of texts to invert the color scheme to make it more readable. I find myself flipping back to other pages because my mind doesn't want to focus on it. There's a reason why every major website in the world uses light color backgrounds.
Remember, us old guys with eyes that strain easily are the ones who have the most disposable income, not the young bucks poor in college.

I thought they were restreaming it at a different time for Europeans?

If you're connected enough to check their website you'll find they're rebroadcasting for Europe.

What do I care whether or not it's rebroadcast at 1am?

Quite sure he was talking to Liveon which is concerned about the broadcast time in Europe. Just letting him know that there will be a rebroadcast at a more Euro-friendly time.
NASL will be restreamed for Europe according to the schedule below. Hope that clears everyones doubts and the useless "its mine and its not for you" debates. Already trying to divide something that its not even completely grown, seriously:

User was warned for this post
What time could they possibly pick so that both North Americans and Europeans could watch this live ON THE WEEK DAYS? Why on earth would they make the NORTH AMERICAN Star League start at 2 PM in North America (when everyone is at work) so that Europeans can watch it at 8? Pretty sure they have vods you can watch whenever you want....
On a different topic let's cut the NASL some slack for the first couple of weeks... go back and watch some GSL season 1 (or even 2) and look how horrible it was in comparison to anything recent. Even Tastosis did a pretty terrible job back in those days compared to where they are now. That being said I'm predicting that NASL is going to be a complete train wreck for a couple weeks, everyone is going to cry talking about how they're never going to watch this again, then they will learn from their mistakes, and everything will be great after that. So let's try to stay positive.

And Twitter... and anything related to Starcraft
Nonetheless, its really amazing that they are doing a re-stream for us 'Euros'
I personally think the GSL, TSL, NASL etc are all global tournaments - its just that the headquarters are in various places. And really, thats the beauty of Starcraft - its a global sport that involves different cultures and locations all over the world. Its really silly to try and say its primarily for a specific region as that is defeating the whole beauty of Starcraft.
Game on NASL! Countdown to Wednesday for those of us in Europe!

This is why i personally hate the idea of having different broadcasting times, its not only forums, but twitter, facebook etc.. But yeah, what can i do. :-)
How/where do we watch this, maybe I'm a bit slow but I couldn't find any links on the site that had to do with actually watching. I know it doesn't start for a couple hours but am I supposed to searh justintv for nasl or spam f5 waiting for the link to pop up on the site or what?

Only reason I know this is the link is because it directs you to it after buying a season pass, hopefully they will post it on the official site, as well as on TL and WP.

TL always has a link to every streamed sc2 tournament on the top right below the calendar when the stream is live.
I was thinking the matches were today then I realized it starts on Tuesday and I was sad , can't wait for NASL though so many great games in HD, what more could I ask for! Artosis fighting!

NASL shouldn't rely on that
it will be on the homepage of nasl.tv, as well as justin.tv during broadcast times - which are available here.
OMg its almost here! I know i ragged on the NASL alot when it was first announced (thats actually when i signed up to TL because i was pretty shocked about some of the rules) but i am truly excited now, they took alot of feedback from the community, and they changed up the format , one of my biggest complaints was that orignally they planned to have only 1 player fromm the open qualifier make it into the NASL (and he would get seeded into the round of 16) that is still happening, but now the bottom 16 players drop out and the top 8 from the 2 different qualifiers get seeded into the next season, so even if i dont agree with maybe about 1/4 of the invites, if they are as bad as i think they are they will drop out, otherwise they will suprise me and deserve to be there. The amount of games being played by each player really ensures that it will actually be the true bottom 16 that will be dropped.
Im super excited for season 1, but even more excited for season 2! Im going to check it out tommoro see what i think, and if it is impressive i will surely buy an HD pass. Didnt think i would be getting this excited about it but now that its right around the corner its all i can think about :D
Like the format, LOVE some of the players, not sure about the casters yet (><) but we will just have to wait and see tommoro! GO GRUBBY!

Yeah i saw where the schedule is, I went over the whole site looking for how/where to watch but there is nothing there to let anyone know other than this in th FAQ
"You can tune in every day at NASL.TV to see matches as they are aired at 6pm PST and 9pm EST. There will also be a rebroadcast of the show at 6pm GMT and 7pm CET every night.
VoDs (Video-on-demand) will also be made available after every rebroadcast so you don't have to worry about missing your favorite games."
There should be something on the frontpage that is highly visable let people know ahead of time that they are in the right spot/where the right spot is.
A more promonent info saying that the frontpage is where to be or at least where links to the stream will be and a countdown to the next broadcast would be a big improvement i think.
I could just be looking at this wrong, but a minor error on the site:
The "Upcoming Matches" tab isn't displaying the first day of matches, it skips it and goes right to Wednesday's matches. "Full Schedule" properly shows the first day of matches.
Yeah that was worrying me. I kept thinking today was tuesday and I had to be somewhere until 9:30 CDT and I was pissed I was going to miss the first day, then I realized it was monday and checked the site and it said it didn't start until wednesday and I though "wait, is today actually tuesday and I though it was monday because tomorrow is NASL, but it's actually tuesday because NASL starts on wednesday, but wait, it's actually monday so... what?" Thanks NASL. Now I don't know what day it is.

I was just coming to post that. I knew it was starting today, but had I not been a TL person following I'd think it was starting tomorrow and miss today's games. Just seems to be off a day or considering a day "archived" to soon.
As some have probably mentioned it would be cool to have a countdown timer of some sorts to each days broadcast and then a link where you can click to go live once it starts. I always like that about the GSL when they did that because no matter what time zone or anything that was confusing with time I could just see "ok 4 hours, going live." Then that little button goes green and good to go.
Love the website though, and I'm pumped for this. Well done guys, keep it up.

I just have a bit of quick feedback for the NASL site, namely in the video section. In the actual interview videos themselves, it'd be nice to have some low volume background music throughout the interview because as it stands, in my opinion, it sounds a bit bland/lonely! ><
I can't quite put my finger on it, but it sounds like there's something missing. Maybe it's not ambient background music, maybe it needs a short NASL intro/outro jingle.
P.S. Overall, the interviews themselves are very good content wise. Good questions are asked and good answers are given.
