Spoiled generation. | ||

Pay $350 for your brand-new ipod but won't pay $1 for the app? I understand that, because Apple is so filthy rich and popular they really dont need the money. Can you really say the same for SC2? How much do you really care about this game getting big. Is it worth it to you for 22 measly cents a day? What proof do you have that this will "support e-sports"? What information has NASL given you? All I know is that apparently it's going to start sometime in the 2nd week of April(?) and that was an offhanded remark from Incontrol. This sort of stuff should be official and spammed everywhere. Now, what time is the broadcast? Is the production higher than that "showmatch" that failed pretty big? Are the commentators actually worth listening to? Do you know things that I don't? No. All I've seen is hype, hype and hype. Since then....pretty much nothing. Not to mention that people like Demuslim and Nightend (Demuslim especially) got royally fucked over in the invitation process. Why would I shell out 20$ with these factors included? In addition, there isn't even a Paypal option set up yet. Sorry if I and 55% of others in this thread aren't "supporting e-sports" but it's just pretty retarded (no offence everyone) to blindly pay 20$ to any organisation without knowing absolutely anything about this league beyond a 20 second video, a terrible website and a few comments here and there. This is why the majority of people will probably wait to see the first season before deciding. This doesn't make them "derpaderp badguys for not supporting esports".

If the quality is good, 25 bucks is a fantastic deal.

its pretty unusual in eu (i think), that the standard sc2 player, who visits tl, has a credit card. and most of them are to lazy to get one, i guess (so am i). If there will be added a paypal option, i probably will watch the freestream for the first days, to see if its worth it.

Edit: And also, no paypal is kinda sucky. I also agree with what some people have said about the NASL has been almost just hype. Extremely lacking in the information department. But this will probably be better when we close in on the actual games. Hopefully.

I also find it hard to become attached to the players due to the online nature of the tournament. However, $20 is really nothing for 3 months worth of content as long as we are able to watch good games; none of that MLG bullshit that I wasted hours on earlier today. I doubt I will watch these games live however and probably only have time for the highly recommended games.

If this thing fails it'll be on the NASL, not me. Most of the negativity in this thread has been caused entirely by their own failings so far. I'll consider buying a premium ticket when these guys show me some proof that they actually know what they're doing They had a chance with the showmatch and failed spectacularly and they've shown nothing since to dispell the fears that showmatch created.

And if you are over 18 i really dont see a reason of why you shouldnt have an Credit Card? I mean, i dont have a credit card for the sake of the "credits", but for the sake of beeing able to buy things online, its easier to buy things when you are abroads and so on..

This is what people mean by that the NASL isn't prepared. This is the reason why i wont buy a pass ... its TOO unprofessional. People always say "if u want eSports to be big, invest in it" but with such a productionformat its not going anywhere ...
