no thanks

Wow... you should have been born when there was no internet, and when watching tv you would have to watch 10-15 mins of pure commercial between something on tv or go do sth else. Spoiled generation.

Of course you are entitled to your own opinions, but, having been here for a while, I feel like this league should prove itself before being entitled to having people invest money in its existence. There's simply nothing to make anyone believe it would be worth it at this time.

Like holy crap, support e-sports FFS or leave forever, we don't want you here. 22 cents per day. Seriously. It's a joke how freaking cheap some people are.

Pay $350 for your brand-new ipod but won't pay $1 for the app? I understand that, because Apple is so filthy rich and popular they really dont need the money. Can you really say the same for SC2? How much do you really care about this game getting big. Is it worth it to you for 22 measly cents a day?

What proof do you have that this will "support e-sports"? What information has NASL given you?
All I know is that apparently it's going to start sometime in the 2nd week of April(?) and that was an offhanded remark from Incontrol. This sort of stuff should be official and spammed everywhere.

Now, what time is the broadcast? Is the production higher than that "showmatch" that failed pretty big? Are the commentators actually worth listening to? Do you know things that I don't?

No.

All I've seen is hype, hype and hype. Since then....pretty much nothing. Not to mention that people like Demuslim and Nightend (Demuslim especially) got royally fucked over in the invitation process. Why would I shell out 20$ with these factors included? In addition, there isn't even a Paypal option set up yet. Sorry if I and 55% of others in this thread aren't "supporting e-sports" but it's just pretty retarded (no offence everyone) to blindly pay 20$ to any organisation without knowing absolutely anything about this league beyond a 20 second video, a terrible website and a few comments here and there.

This is why the majority of people will probably wait to see the first season before deciding. This doesn't make them "derpaderp badguys for not supporting esports".

jesus christ how much of a penny pincher can you be... assuming everyone here likes e-sports and wants it to grow, i say just support that shit. this is a big ass tournament with a lot of potential.. maybe this first season will be a let down but you can still support the iniative of pulling of getting starcraft more international... even though i may only watch like 15% of the games i buy GSL tickets almost every time just to make sure i do my bit. were part of a thing thats growing here people, and I for one am really curious to see just how far it can grow.

Well, i rather support the GSL than the NASL without having checked their product atleast once. Its not like i dont want to support e-Sport, but the MLG "scandal" made me be more careful.

There's nothing wrong about waiting to see the quality of the NASL on the free stream before you pay, but If you complain about the price, you are extraordinarily cheap and will complain about anything.

If the quality is good, 25 bucks is a fantastic deal.

Voted no. I don't have time to watch GSL and NASL and when I have the choice between those two I am choosing GSL without having to think about it for too long. I am not gonna choose the 'lesser' league just because its cheaper by a few dollars.

no paypal - no competition.
its pretty unusual in eu (i think), that the standard sc2 player, who visits tl, has a credit card. and most of them are to lazy to get one, i guess (so am i). If there will be added a paypal option, i probably will watch the freestream for the first days, to see if its worth it.

God I'm tired of those "Do it for E-sports"-people. If I can't get quality entertainment out of it, I don't give a rats ass about E-sports, I wount't pay for good starcraft players sitting somwhere playing if I don't get the entertainment I expect. Now, 25$ is by no means any amount to really care about, at least not for 3months of content. But, I'll sit on the fence and see if this holds an acceptable level of production and entertainment. If I like what I see, I'll most likely pay.

Edit: And also, no paypal is kinda sucky. I also agree with what some people have said about the NASL has been almost just hype. Extremely lacking in the information department. But this will probably be better when we close in on the actual games. Hopefully.

I'm in the wait and see crowd as I have my doubts over the professionalism of NASL. At the moment it feels very lacking. It's like two weeks from now and they still don't have a starting date? The only reason we even know its starting on the second week of April is because of some fleeting statement Incontrol said during the SOTG...

I also find it hard to become attached to the players due to the online nature of the tournament. However, $20 is really nothing for 3 months worth of content as long as we are able to watch good games; none of that MLG bullshit that I wasted hours on earlier today.

I doubt I will watch these games live however and probably only have time for the highly recommended games.

I wish people would fuck off with the "support esports" bullshit. They're running a business, not a charity, I'm not going to be guilted in to donating money to these guys just because they're trying to run an SC2 tournament.

If this thing fails it'll be on the NASL, not me. Most of the negativity in this thread has been caused entirely by their own failings so far.

I'll consider buying a premium ticket when these guys show me some proof that they actually know what they're doing They had a chance with the showmatch and failed spectacularly and they've shown nothing since to dispell the fears that showmatch created.

Yeah, its for sure fair enough to wait for the first day or so, so that you can actually watch the quality and production for everything, but I feel its wierd to complain about the price, dont really feel i need to explain why...

And if you are over 18 i really dont see a reason of why you shouldnt have an Credit Card? I mean, i dont have a credit card for the sake of the "credits", but for the sake of beeing able to buy things online, its easier to buy things when you are abroads and so on..

Maybe I am not looking good enough, but isn't there an option like paypal? Because I dont't have a credit card.

EDIT:
It seems they don't have paypal support... This is what people mean by that the NASL isn't prepared.

This is the reason why i wont buy a pass ... its TOO unprofessional. People always say "if u want eSports to be big, invest in it" but with such a productionformat its not going anywhere ...
