undecided

the only reason I get the GSL pass is because I can't watch it live, I'll probably still get a pass still though

Fantastic deal. What the fuck are people bitching about? Do they want NASL to fail? It seems like all the community has done is shit on the whole concept to begin with.
25$ 3 months. Totally awesome, im used to 15 a month for GSL. So this is totally fantastic.

I'm used to not paying to watch Starcraft at all.

Edit for explanation;
I gotta lol at the people saying WOW $25 IS NOT MUCH AT ALL FOR SO MUCH STARCRAFT!! when it's only really even happened that some are paying to watch tournaments at all. Hell you can go to the MSL or OSL finals for free and watch live. $25 isn't shit to me but this change doesn't sit right with me personally.

I'd like to see Starcraft run as a non-profit sport especially since it's such a niche. When i pay to watch Football/Soccer the money goes back into teams and therefore players if it's on television or at the actual game. Some teams make a profit ontop of that but that's fine, cause least it's going to the team. Although some money will go to the people who run the Premier League, it's a tiny amount of the total and used to pay people who organize it all. In the NASL all the money appears to go to the organizers (since i'm gonna assume prize money is from sponsors, not gonna rely on spectators to pay it). While some people might quote other sports which run like this, i'd prefer it the other way. I know people go on about supporting eSports a lot, but i support teams and players; I'm not paying to turn a profit for the organizers. The scene is too small for that, it's already very hard for teams and players to support themselves so that's where i want my money, if any money at all, going.

But hey everyone's entitled to their opinion on this, and i can see why some people would see it as totally fair. But the fact there's already multiple tournaments popping up with subscriptions is sort of alarming to me at least.

But the NASL is not an non profit organization. In order for the scene to grow, there must be money. Id love to not pay, but ill do anything to support the scene and hope that maybe in the future itll be shown live on tv for free.

Not buying it...I'm already buying GSL pass and there is a possibility NASL will be shit with the things I've seen so far...

see, the problem is, i would pay 20 dollars for 3 months, but THE PROBLEM is, i would rather pay 10 dollars to watch a season of gsl where the players are at a top level, i would pay for both, but its just WAY to time consuming, more than 5 hours a day. if nasl was the only tournament sure, but gsl exists, which greatly affects my decision of buying nasl's.

No fucking way will I pay.

Going on a vacation and a bit short on money currently. I'll probably get it eventually, and it'll be nice to see how it turns out because it is really, really unproven so far. But assuming there are no major fuckups and I don't start living on the street I'll probably pay, yeah.

God help you so when you have kids and have to fork out 25 dollars every day for zero entertainment

25 dollars for 3 months, pay for it or don't complain - it goes towards a good cause either way

Well so much for everyone who complained about GSL prices. I think NASL should definitely have free VODs for North America at least. GSL is free for Koreans. Guess I'll be missing out on NASL then because I'm already paying for GSL and I love everything they do.

I'm undecided, 1080p and 3 months for $20 sounds pretty good, but I don't really think I'd have time to actually watch enough to make it worth the money unless its in the summer. There's not enough time in the day during the school year.

Ofcourse i'll pay..

Dont see how anyone can argue against it. Hours and hours of content for $20.00? U kidding, its $10-15 dollars to go see a 2-3 hour movie and i enjoy watching SC2 wayyyyyyyyy more.

$25 is a great price. If you actually love starcraft you should be happy to pay just to support an organisation working extremely hard to grow the sport you love.

Getting a HD stream and VOD's is a bonus.

definitely getting it, no reason not to.

I have gotten passes for the last 3 GSL and both GSTL leagues, I love to help out the SC2 scene.

Not worth paying for NASL yet. Sub par players and online play makes it seem really amateurish and then dishing out 25$ for that? No thanks, not even 5$ if you ask me.

There's really nothing to complain about. If you're going to watch every game, live or VOD, then this is a fantastic deal in terms of value. But I think a lot of people are like me, and just don't have time to watch the games every day. I'll probably watch the league occasionally and just check the results and then tune in for the playoffs. I will not pay because I simply don't need or want it. It's not about the price, it's about value, and different people have different values.

The paid option serves a different target market than the free option. If you don't fit into the paid one, why bother complaining about it. They are already offering you a free option.

hmm 30 bucks for GSL when every game is fucking amazing, and features great productions and has the 2 best Casters in context to how well they Cast TOGETHER. while 25 dollars for lesser players, no idea HOW the production will be, and worse casters..

so if i had to only buy 1.... 60 bucks is overall too much but i have to choose GSL.
