yeah it was actually kinda difficult finding a decent model of a stalker. there are images on the internet but none of them of the actual model that is also used in the portrait ingame so i had to improvise a bit here and there. the portrait always kinda fascinated me. the stalker seems like such a fearful warmachine and just very intriguing considering its background as well as the fact that it is piloted by the remains of a dark templar much in the same way as the dragoon was piloted by a half-dead zealot. unlike the dragoon however you have part of the biological remains of the dark templar fitted to the outside of the cybernetic shell, ie the head, which seems to wear some sort of "tiara" on his forehead. it might look weird but this is the actual head of the protoss, what you see potruding from the surrounding collar is mostly its head, not the neck. @exploding.godhand didnt even know this was called crosshatching^^just always did this to use shading and contrast to make it look more plastic @funcmode yeah i took this as sort of an "inspiration" for my stalker. fact is its hard to find an image of a stalker that has some semblance to the ingame unit portrait. this particular drawing you mentioned is fine but it just doest come close to the coldness of the unit, it just looks too cartoonish and less fearsome and machinelike. with the pose id agree they look very similar but then again this was the pose i imagined him to be in from the start even before i looked up this picture. so yeah i had a lot of glances at this picture but woudnt say i ripped anything off^^ | ||

I'm currently drawing SC2-Pictures too, can i upload it in this thread? By the way, it's not a stalker, so not really related to this thread. Note: The Stalker and Kerrigan aren't from the same person, if somebody ignored the text before. :/ Ok, it's NOT finished, not nearly, have to do a lot more.
