If you have criticism, you need to address the content, not the hosts. Idra and Artosis are 2 (1.5) Zerg players, but you can't point that out and then blanket them as biased. Respond to the content.
You can't tell them to "get 2 Terran and Protoss players". That's fucking obtuse advice. "Yo just get 4 more high level players to record with you." Yes, I think everyone sees the value in getting it, but it's not practical.
Respond to the content and use evidence / logic to back up your claims. |

TWO.. exactly as much as zerg.. And guess what?? A Zerg got into the top 4.. No protoss did. So, if you are going to complain about zerg being under-represented.. how is that possible when more zergs got further in GSL 4 than Protosses??
Going by what you said in GSL3 there were 2 tosses and 2 terrans in the final 4 0 zergs. :O.
But it seems in GSL both zerg/toss both are below 10 in code S (I think 9 zergs 8 toss?) while terran has like 15-16.
But this should be interesting I imagine they'll go more indepth with zerg then other races

Was only a matter of time before you both made this type of thing :p

artosis played toss in his code a qual. games.
interesting video though.

Thats fine, but a zerg won GSL 1 and 2 if you want to go back into the past.

I'm glad they mentioned infestor usage at the end. I think it can be worth it in longer games to try and trap the protoss army that pokes on your expansions, either a small part of their gateway ball or a couple of their colossus (obviously you don't want to fungal the entire thing or you will need to face it all) to wittle down the protoss.
Pretty cool episode; hope to see more interesting subjects on the next episodes as I don't personally feel colossus are too powerful in their current state, although they provide good arguments for their thoughts.

Would Neural Parasite work at all against colossi?

a show about imbalance by two zerg players ... what a surprise! (yeah i know Artosis started playing a bit of protoss).
zerg players complain far too much ... they are winning both of their matchups in the GSL statistically. I dont see how they are in a position to scream imbalance. (link for credibility http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/GOMTV_Global_Starcraft_II_League/Statistics )

fwiw as a protoss who occassionally plays zerg i think i consistently beat zergs who i feel are clearly better than me in almost all regards. I feel the only way zerg can beat me is if they are ridiculously better than me or if I make a retarded mistake. And although I don't personally know the MU, I don't really see how anyone can say TvZ isn't T favored.

You didnt watch the video. They said they only discuss balance on pro-level since you obviously have you have tons of stuff to improve when being in bronze league.
I liked the vid. They explained precisely why they think stuff is imbalanced.
Put your hate aside and watch the video.

good stuff as always artosis thx again

Would be interesting if they could include someone like Jinro on the show to get the Terran POV because he might blow all are minds and agree with them.
|
Why do they ignore tvp/tvz balance? All about Zerg...seems like an ok idea...but it's all about Zerg...

Dont comment til you watch the video!!!!! Its not bad.

This is interesting to watch, but I really recommend getting all 3 races to be a part of this, just to make sure it's completely unbiased. From watching this first episode, you and IdrA seem to agree about pretty much everything, which doesn't make for a very fruitful discussion, and seems more like just preaching.
Still, I enjoyed it. Looking forward to further episodes.

On to the actual content of the show, how can you mention colossus in PvT without mentioning pheonix? Any trouble with colossus is the pheonix/colossus combo, not just colossus. Rarely do good players go pure colossus and just let all their colossus die to vikings anymore.
It's like mentioning marine balance without mentioning medivacs. Kind of a worthless discussion.

Obviously they said that, but who do you think their audience is? They're not making this video for top players to watch.

The mods are going to have fun with this thread.
Great show, Idra is my favorite zerg player, and seeing him in this manner is really awesome. Keep up the good work idra, and obviously great job artosis.
Can't wait to see this show brawl it out with state of the game 8]

Awesome! 30 seconds in and I'm already in love with this show.

Artosis and idrA wouldn't admit Z was OP if mutas shot nukes and zerglings had siege mode. Artosis mentioned the 2 supply roach nerf and said it was necessary, which it was, but if I remember correctly back when it actually happened, idrA was complaining about the change, and I'm almost 100% sure they weren't pushing for a roach nerf. All this does is cause bronze-plat players to blame their losses on imbalance and shit up every thread on here. Why give them ammunition?
That's why they are talking about "looking back at it". There also were people who defended that 5rax reaper wasn't imbalanced.
I think so far they're not that biased as most of you say them to be... You should actually finish watching the video before bitching about it.

See? That's what I mean. Watch the fucking video first.
How can they only talk about Zerg if this episode revolves around the Colossus (It's a Protoss unit btw.)
They also state more than one time that they think the Colossus is ok in TvP, so why would they bother going on 10 minutes about an issue that doesn't exist in this matchup.

Their knowledge of zerg is better then tvp. And if your still trying to say tvz favors zerg lolol the mu is actually pretty balanced imo just what makes it hard at times is all the different builds terrans can do ^^.
