[Interviews] March Code A Qualifiers!

Q. How does it feel to qualify for Code A?
A. I played 4 straight TvT's. I think I played rather comfortably.

Q. Are you usually confident against Terrans?
A. It's similar for all three races, but it was comfortable since I didn't have to adjust to a different race.

Q. Were there any difficult opponents?
A. The match against ZeNEXTaeja was 44 minutes long and went to an elimination race.

Q. You're in the same team as SlayerS_BoxeR, what are some of the things he helped you with?
A. I think he's very detailed about his life and gaming. I was able to practice systemically.

Q. Did you know him before?
A. I was with him in T1. He was glad to accept me when I said I wanted to play StarCraft 2.

A. I lost to oGsZenio in the third open season qualifications. I was lacking then since I only had a month of practice at the time.

Q. Are there any players you want to play against?
A. I want to face ZeNEXExcrement. I think he's the best Terran player and I've lost to him in the Zotac Cup as a part of his all-kill. I want to face him fair and square.

Q. What is your goal this season?
A. My goal is to advance to Code S and aim to take the championship from there.

Q. Any comments?
A. Ga-Yun hasn't been healthy while taking care of the team house recently. I hope she gets better soon. The team atmosphere and living conditions are very good as Coach Sung Sang-Hoon and SlayerS_BoxeR provided me a place to play games without worrying about anything else. I want to thank them.

A. I'm very happy. There were many players from SlayerS in the same group, but I'm glad that I got to advance without running into any of them.

Q. What was the most difficult match?
A. I went 7 warpgates on Metalopolis in the final match against Hyor, but he had a lot of ghosts. There was a dangerous moment when my sentries were hit by EMP's.

A. I want to advance to Code S.

A. When I lost in the previous qualification matches, it felt like I didn't belong in the place. I practiced afterwards thinking that I would surely advance again.

A. I don't think my side of the brackets was very good. The first game was risky as my hands weren't warmed up and my next opponents were no slouches either.

Q. It looked like your teammates had an effect on you.
A. ST_July teases me by saying 'You can't make it' (laughs). I think I need to move on and knock him out of the tournament.

A. It feels like I lost the previous Code A games when I was an inch away from winning. I'm trying to not make the same mistakes, so I hope everyone keeps an eye out for me.

A. I've never done an interview before. It feels awkward. I didn't think that I would advance.

Q. How many times have you tried to qualify?
A. This is my second time after trying in the third open season. I don't think I practiced enough last time.

Q. Were there any dangerous moments?
A. Every game was challenging. The first match was a 2:0, but the rest of the matches ended up being 2:1 victories. The match against SlayerS_Ryung was especially dangerous.

Q. Who do you want to face in the main event?
A. This is my first time, so I don't have any special requests for opponents.

Q. If you had to reveal your goals, what would they be?
A. My ultimate goal would be to win, but I think my priority should be to get Code S.

Q. What do you have problems with during practice?
A. I was worried that ZvP's in practice haven't gone my way recently. I was able to get good results today since I didn't play any Protoss players, but I will try even harder and play good games in the future.

Q. Any comments?
A. I want to thank the teammates and my parents. I hope other teammates can do well in later groups.

Q. How does it feel to qualify for Code A?
A. I don't have a computer at home, so I've been practicing strictly in the PC Bangs. I want to practice more in the team house, but my parents did not allow me to do so. Now that I advanced, I'm going to try to get permission.

A. Other than the first match, I started off with a loss in the first set. I think all the matches were difficult.

Q. Do you want to play against a particular player?
A. This is my first tournament, so I don't know yet.

Q. What is your goal?
A. I want to win in Code A, be a good son to my parents and get recognized.

Q. What is your most confident match-up?
A. I'm confident against Zergs and Protosses.

Q. What style do you usually play?
A. I'm pretty standard. I like to play management games and make sudden attacks.

Q. What are your weaknesses?
A. If the game goes on for a long time, I tend to lose focus.

A. I want to practice more systemically in the team house.

A. I'm very excited to advance.

Q. You said that your matches were tough.
A. I generally don't like playing against Protoss. There are many skilled Protosses I practice with, and I had to play against a player I consider very difficult in the first round. I had to play NEXPuzzle, whom I lost to in the Zotac Cup, in the second match, and ran into a teammate IMYoda in the last match. I must have been really lucky to move through.

Q. Do you learn a lot from your teammates?
A. There are things we learn together, but there are also challenges we share together. I was jealous yesterday watching a teammate win. I had the desire to practice hard and win myself.

Q. How does it feel to qualify for Code A?
A. I've been getting a lot of stress while playing Zerg. My wife has been treating me well and IMNesTea helped me be able to play games. I was also able to practice comfortably with the help from IM's Zerg players.

Q. You're married, how are you doing with your job?
A. I quit my work a month ago. The work was too demanding so I was thinking about moving to a different company, and this opportunity came up.

Q. It can't be too easy considering your age.
A. In StarCraft, IMNesTea won a lot of amateur tournaments. I have just as much experience as he does. I always had the thought of playing games professionally, and I wanted to experience that feeling I had back in the day.

A. I played against a Terran in the second match, and I almost lost.

Q. Do you have any plans to join a team and practice with a system?

A. I'm very numb. It feels like a dream and I'm very proud.

Q. What was the most difficult thing during a match?
A. I had a lot of trouble in the final match against KimMinHyuk.

A. I think I lacked practice and was overconfident before. I thought I would cruise through easily, but that hasn't been the case.

Q. Do you think you'll be nervous for your first broadcasted match?
A. I'm nervous. The qualification matches were this hard, so it must be even harder.

A. I want to advance to Code S.

A. I'm not too sure yet.

Q. Even though it's just 2 second place finishes, were you ever jealous of MarineKingPrime?

A. I had finance problems recently, so I quit gaming. I started to practice again last week and I'm happy to get the results today.

Q. What was difficult in your matches today?
A. Since I came from Dae Jun, my conditions weren't great. I still set my mind straight and I was able to do well.

Q. What are some challenges in practicing alone without a team?
A. Due to personal reasons, I'm living at a friend's house at the moment. I've been a negative influence to him and I wasn't able to focus so I didn't get to practice with consistency. I'm glad that I got good results, and I'm very thankful for my friend.

Q. What is your goal this season?
A. Rather than having a goal, I've always played with a focus on the team. I started as a part of my mom's recommendation, but I haven't been too active in pursuing my goals. I thought about a different path in my career, but I hope to lighten up the desire to play with this opportunity.

Q. Did the performances of oGsSuperNova and IMMvp make you jealous in any way?
A. I was very happy to see IMMvp win, but I didn't really have the desire to stand on the stage. With today's results, I hope to have that desire in the future.

Q. Any comments?
A. My friends cheered me up each time I tried to quit gaming. I want to thank my friends, as well as my mom who has been very supportive of me.
