Im always excited for new patches, somehow keeps everything fresh. In a way I actually miss the steady stream of updates from Beta. ![]()

I think he means if they start the patch while GSL matches are going on so bnet will go down and they will be unable to play their matches. That would suck but I can see the humor in it.

I think he meant during, as in, the patch starts in the middle of a game that is broadcasting and they get disconnected and the patch starts running and everyone watches it on screen, and Tastosis starts filling time.

Blizzard will likely put up a notice for server downtime regardless. Pretty sure the servers for WoW and SC2 go down at 5am Tuesday Morning PST every week.

It really depends, sometimes it is 3-9 pst, sometimes 3-11, sometimes 5-9, sometimes 5-11, sometimes rolling restarts and there is no real maintenance. I think for this week WoW is only getting rolling restarts. That doesn't mean they won't patch today though, but if not today I guess a lot of people are saying thursday is another day they often patch on.

Well in the old days (vanilla) I remember always having to go to bed at 2 am Tuesday mornings, because they USED to patch it at 5am EST, but they changed it to PST during WotLK.

I've played wow since beta, it's always been either 3pst or 5pst as the common patching time. It used to almost always be 3.
