Alright, I don't think Torch is shitting us right now. He has a hot girlfriend and is living the dream currently playing SC(2) in Korea right now, so let's get off the man's nuts.
Just because we are used to the devil, aka KESPA, doesn't mean we should assume everyone else is evil. I am willing to bet that the following occurred:
1) GomTV thhought that streaming demand will be higher than ever, thus needing a cost to cover the streaming of quality data across the world.
2) They didn't realize previous methods of streaming would be able to support the higher viewer volume they are expecting.
3) They announced high quality and pricy streams. WHOOPS!
They fixed it. No harm, no foul. We can bitch and bitch, OR we can move on and appreciate how FUCKING AWESOME this tournament will probably be.
Tasteless and Artosis casting the first Korean tournament with a real foreigner presence in forever?!?!?!?!!? BAD ASS.

This still fucking sucks. I can't watch the LQ stream because it's at a terrible time, and there's no way I'm paying $20 for an HQ stream I won't watch, and LQ VODs that I'll end up watching half of at most.

If GOM 'foreigner division' is actually as rushed and inexperienced as they are claiming, I expect that they will not have the time / know-how to stop re-streaming, VODs on youtube, etc. Not that I support us doing that stuff, but I will be watching how they handle it.
Regarding the price change, pretend that they had never made the other announcement in the first place. Their pricing plan is still pretty expensive. I don't know why people are giving them a lot of kudos. I'm not thanking Tide for selling me their laundry detergent at an over-market but reasonable price.

I will gladly pay 20 dollars to watch the most epic sc2 tournament to come (until hdh2 maybe). Things cost money and people dont work for free. Pirating will only hinder the growth of esports. GOMtv is a company, which means they need to make a profit to stay in business. Thumbs up to them for reacting to our concerns, and I will reward them with my money. If you cant afford 20 bucks, then pay 1.95 for the day pass or watch the free lq stream. There really is no reason to bitch here anymore, and it is getting rather annoying.

The day pass doesn't get you VODs, which is absolute bullshit. Surprised more people aren't complaining.

So basically it's only free for people with no school/job or people in Europe. Seriously, free LQ stream but paid VODs is BS when most of your audience can't watch it live.

Lol, somebody is just now learning that life isn't fair for everybody! You should write them a letter and maybe they'll make it 1500 kbps, turn on right when you wake up, AND tailor the commentating to your liking.
