The game crashed... Even lan cant save a crashing computer. A saving function would be good.

This thread spoiled me I thought it would be for finals and there might be vod links.

Does this mean Terran is ... jk gratz MorroW

Some of you really need to stop crying about morrow. He has 5000 from that, and you have 0. If you can do a knockout, no reason to grind out a 5 round fight.

Morrow played very well.
After reading all the Bullshit, seeing the bans, closed threads... etc... ...I was sure his play was awful. But it wasn't.
It wasn't it was very good, and very stable, and very deadly. In the short term, its bad for IdrA. But I think we should sort of be thankful for being able to see what Terran can implement (as far as Harass, and Expanding, and Macro) when its done correctly.
Nice Reaper-Troll btw! LMFAO

SC2 lets just say that our "progamers" still need to learn more about the game . Really? what makes you think they got something to learn, what things could they have changed.
This game has been out for a very little time and we players clearly haven't seen every tricks and things to come. Of course this game is going to evolve as a game as Broodwar did. Some interesting finds from the game can change the game forever (Well unless Blizzard comes and fixes everything :p) Like mutalisk stack, irradiate trick etc.
Learning more about the game in general doesn't always mean that your micro/macro/things are bad and you need to learn more those, but finding and mastering stuff, inventing new super builds and tricks (like fazing with Vrays) and so on.
But on the topic. Gamescom Sc2 tournament was very entertaining to watch Didn't expect Morrow to win all and big names like White-Ra to drop out from playoffs

i loved the games. its really cool to see we can get a hype of sc2 just like we did in sc1. was great!

http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/9092028 If you skip to 19:00, MorroW tells us that he only learned about the reaper build after he came over to IEM from Dimaga and Demuslim and practiced it for a few hours. I'm pretty shocked that he was able to win 3-1 over Idra who practices 12 hrs/day in Korea just trying to defend against that build. I really appreciate his honesty though, where even he says the build is pretty imbalanced and expects it to be patched soon. Grats to MorroW.

He'll be back np.
Was not aware he was still playing brood war. I haven't really followed the BW scene this year.
He seems very inconsistent with his play style. When hes on, I enjoy watching his protoss. But when hes off, hes missing pylons, mis-microing his void rays, sloppy micro, sloppy macro. Hes like the Dr. Jekyl / Mr. Hyde of SC2.

Nothing is as disappointing as seeing a stronger player lose because of an opening which MorroW admittedly says is imba, but uses repeatedly to win because he knows he would lose without it.
Oh yeah and he denied ZvT scouting in the last game, epic skills, bravo.
Morrow for most disappointing option please. Once again, what the hell would you have done? Lost thousands of dollars just so you can get credit for not using reapers? In my opinion, winning by cheese is worse than losing with style. User was warned for this post Why the hell was he warned for this? First of all, he clearly stated that it was his opinion (and a completely valid one at that, considering the popularity of TLO), and he didn't even directly disparage any players directly.
Probably because he misapplied the term "cheese", which like "troll" and "metagame" is being taken increasingly seriously on these forums. And because even though he didn't refer to anybody by name, you don't even need to have seen the games to know who he's talking about. And because having an opinion and stating that it's your opinion is no defense for stupidity.
Just my opinion.

I don't necessarily think Reapers in specific need any sort of patching, moreso as Zerg needs a little boost in the Early Game.
'Grats to MorroW! Sick seeing you gaining momentum since TSL.

I loved Morrow's style. When I first saw it I thought Morrow was insane. His play was so suffocating and intense thus entertaining. It was exciting to see how the zerg can stop morrow or how much damage morrow can inflict. The strategy might seem imbalanced but the zergs have won games vs it and we haven't seen how Koreans deal with it yet.
|
Since Reapers outrange and are faster than all units available to Zerg in the early game they will become even more deadly over time.
|
Other players used reapers with mixed success, but have to give Morrow props for destroying Idra with them. He kept the heat on and forced errors (terrible push against Morrow's bunkers on blistering sands, macro slipping) that aren't typical from Idra. enjoyed dimaga's play a ton as well, but glad we didn't see ZvZ finals
|
Wheres ret in the disappoint poll? Good games all around.

people voting for morrow , yes he played well but wasn't nearly as impressive as dimaga in my opinion
