Yeah that was what i was more interested to hear. Lag is a huge huge huge issue, and really what we should have been talking about since its deciding matches more often than it should. Instead we got half an hour of completely embarassing venting. Not the best.

They were a certain set of true, core, facts, but there were others that are equally as 'bare bone' as colbi said that were left unsaid. and this caused incorrect inferences. Hence Tyler's accusation of deception. I get Tyler's point, but I think they're unfounded. If I felt Colbi was actually responsible for what Tyler was accusing him, I'd probably be on his side. However, I don't think that's the case, and that's why so many people disagree with Tyler. They agree with him in principle, but not in this application of it.

He just said that if you're going to post, be a forum poster, not some guy in a suit. And Tyler never said that you should do that because he's on Team Liquid and its Team Liquid's website. He was saying that as a forum poster, he only wants people contributing on the forums. Which is completely valid. Yeah I agree with this, what Tyler was pointing out was completely reasonable but I think he had a hard time figuring out how to get his point across. I feel bad for him because Geoff completely destroyed him with a lot of unreasonable rebuttals. I love them both though

He is not the person to tell you why Liquid declined. That falls on Liquid. Anyone thinking otherwise needs to learn how the real world works. hence why he shouldnt have said anything. Any other time its up to the team to respond to questions about their team. Not for a 2nd party to represent them.

Let the community ask team liquid if they're in it or not, EG should either say everything, or nothing. He gave the community half the information, and as neutral as it was, leaving out information can be seen as aggressive. If we went to war and france didnt show up to the UN meeting and the media said "France didnt accept the invite to the meeting" then there would be a HUGE negative backlash no mater the reason. Its a very subtle way to attack someone. pretty much this... incontrol is saying colbi's response was neutral or w/e, but leaving out information can be interpreted in a lot of different ways. and i lost a ton of respect for incontrol. he had a lot of good points, but there was no need to personally attack tyler, and he kept circling around frivolous things tyler said instead of addressing the entire issue at hand

However the main thing is that eg came onto team liquids website and posted, and did not give team liquid justice. Had that post just gone up on eg's own site, I dont think there would have been a problem. At least thats what I see most people saying.

1) Enable overlord upgrades for tier 1 Zerg. Speed or overseer, or both, I don't care. Deals with early detection problems and scouting problems. Adding creep spew to tier 1... i'm on the fence about, but it would let zergs prevent bunkers/pylons from being built too close in undesirable positions + have more creep to defend on, adds the ability to do early cheese/risky play. The appropriate downside is that your overlords are exposed, and losing them can be costly especially in the early game. 2) Geoff and Tyler realize it's not that big a deal, and apologize - and see that both points of view have merit. They hug and stay brotosses.
