My two suggestions are this: 1. Tailor the topics of the show towards the guest you get that week. I love the synergy that you "four regulars" have, but each guest you've had on has been a bit...awkward...because they're not as familiar with the group...or a giga-personality like day9 or incontrol. :p I mean, even "Mr.Confident" Idra came off as rather muted to me. I would really like to see more "air time" from the guests. 2. Don't put any arbitrary restrictions on yourself with regards to time length. The core strength of SotG is its natural feel. If someone gets tired and wants to leave, just let 'em go. ![]()

This will stop people like Jeff going super quiet, of which he sometimes screams or breathes heavily into them microphone which pushes his volume way way down trying to compensate. holy fuck you're a genius why didn't I think of that edit: turns out geoff did : ((((

itmeJP: If you wanna solve the hosting issue then consider using torrents. If your friend has root access to his host you can simply add it like every other torrent file and use that as a initial seed. Same total upload speed for the host and we help out the First hours of uptime for the file, when its cooled down you can switch the link to a normal link to a .mp3 file.

A good format (suggestion) is the 4 regulars and just one guest each week.

but the little "HuK dont wear hoodie" bullshit was beyond retarded, god i hate people who wanna dictate how other people look, it has NOTHING to do with bad mannered or being disrespectful. Why not just say "hey your great player and good mannered, but your fat and wear glasses, its bad image caus it makes you nerdy" -,- Edit: imagine? image*

I shouldn't have to explain manners to you or being respectful but chewing gum and wearing a hoodie during an interview is considered disrespectful by western standards and MORE SO by eastern standards. It isn't like people are criticizing the brand name of his shirt or the fact that he wore jeans.... I'm like confused that this is even an issue with you lol

a persons behavior in a interview should be concidered more important than how he looks ![]()

IMHO it's the person themselves and the attitude they convey not clothes/gum. I personally didn't find anything disrespectful about huk's attire. It was definitely weird but nothing really disrespectful. Mainly got the clue he liked wearing the hoodie for comfort sakes (hiding himself a bit in such a public place, could be a bit camera shy / nervous about it and thought wearing a hoodie would look better etc who knows. Also it is huk, he does have an ego, that coming across in an interview where he talks about how he should have went to korea instead of winning an MLG event was far more disrespectful. But honestly who cares about respect ![]()

It's not like the hood is surgically grafted to his scalp (if it is, I apologize profusely). And chewing gum while talking to someone quite certainly qualifies as behavior. Neither thing is unacceptable or anything serious in an informal setting, and I think the disconnect comes from not realizing that an interview (even if it's with a fellow 20-something gamer) in front of a camera is actually the furthest thing from informal, especially when you're sponsored. Women showing skin is considered disrespectful in some countries/to some people Your point being? Let's all put on bikinis and go dance in the streets in Riyadh? Let's go to Israel and throw bacon bits at the interviewer? Uncovering your head and not chewing gum while talking to people is polite in Western culture. I'll have to double check my atlas but I'm pretty sure Raleigh, NC is not located in the Himalayas.

Manners are dictated by society as a whole, and most everyone knows them. When people choose not to practice them, they look like assholes or idiots. Being a non-conformist just for the sake of non-conformity is naive and immature. Sponsors don't want the people they endorse to make them look bad, and neither does the e-sports/SC2 community.

It'd be pretty hilarious to have this debate though. I would love to hear the amazing arguments for not giving a fuck what people consider proper etiquette or acting professional.

Followed possibly by an example of praying mantis etiquette of eating the male after sex. Which is totally unreasonable.

I kinda feel bad for Psy, he's asked to come on the show as a Zerg expert and then they get Idra on as well, now his role is kind of made redundant so you can't really blame him for not talking much. I don't think it's really being shy or starstruck, more that he's fairly humble and has a great deal of respect for the other guys on the show. I mean I play and teach guitar and can talk at length about it but if I was thrown on a panel with Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Joe Satriani I wouldn't really want to be talking all that much.

Why not just say "hey your great player and good mannered, but your fat and wear glasses, its bad image caus it makes you nerdy" -,- There's nothing wrong with his clothing choice and I don't think that is what incontrol was getting at. Hiding or obscuring your face in public (ESPECIALLY during an interview) is considered rude. He could have easily had the hoodie down and would still be wearing the same thing. Your analogy also doesn't make sense, because being fat isn't something you wear and glasses are not only worn by a lot of people, but also PRESCRIBED for bad sight. The gum is not so much a thing to gripe over unless he was obnoxiously chewing it. Nevertheless, these are probably nervous habits that he will eventually get rid of if these interviews become more of a regular thing.
