They were taking a lot of flak at a period when it seemed one or both were pretty ill but were still having to cover quite a few games.
Maybe its the sleep dep but they seem to be doing a better job for me the last few shows

I have to say I want to change my ID to PenisPony in his honour.

What do you guys think about an interview with ICCup Diamond for the SOTG podcast. I think it would be good to get these top players involved or to hear what is going on in the foreigner scene especially after the bitching about the maps for GSL so much. It would be sweet to also have the top players give their input on maps. It is good that Root is involved with ICCup losely but it would be nice to have them connected more. Post what you think about interviewing diamond and if you think it is a good idea.

It's a legitimate term, it's also part of a nursery rhyme that was popular in the first half of last century. My grandfather actually used to sing this one when we were kids.

Extended series has been banned from this thread and from the podcast. If a guest ever mutters the phrase he will be banned, forever, from the show.

Thank god.
I agree with above sentiments to get Artosis on more often.

nobody laughed at JP's joke about him being a god

JP, do you still take emailed question apart from those from cockhorse or only the irc ones on live shows? And I wonder what happens to questions not taken. Do you save them for later purpose or just dump them?

They go to the island of misfit questions. Some day they will be visited by an unlikely pair of siblings and their talking dog. But that's for another time.

1. Something used as a toy horse, such as the knee of an adult or a rocking horse.

*Sigh* Just when I finally thought of a question/reason that tipped the balance for me and people I've talked to about the rule that shall not be named it becomes taboo.
I'd be curious about your guys' thoughts about the ongoing composition of the GSL at the top end in terms of race balance of people continuing.
Warning: Done based on Liquibet pages by hand, so if something is wrong, just flame me for being dumb and dismiss the post. Ro64: Zerg = 42.1875% of players (27) Terran = 37.5% of players (24) Protoss = 18.75% of players (12) Random = 1.5625% of players (1)
Ro32: Zerg: 37.5% of players (12) (44.4% Win Rate in Ro64) Terran = 43.75% of players (14) (58.3% Win Rate in Ro64) Protoss = 18.75% of players (6) (50% Win Rate in Ro64) Random = 0.0% of players (0) (0% Win Rate in Ro64)
Ro16: Zerg = 25% of players (4) (33.3% Win Rate in Ro32) (14.8% Retention since Ro64) Terran = 50% of players (8) (57.14% Win Rate in Ro32) (33.3% Retention since Ro64) Protoss = 25% of players (4) (66.6% Win Rate in Ro32) (33.3% Retention since Ro64)
Ro8: Zerg = 25% of players (2) (50% Win Rate in Ro16) (7.4% Retention since Ro64) Terran = 37.5% of players (3) (37.5% Win Rate in Ro16) (12.5% Retention since Ro64) Protoss = 37.5% of players (3) (75% Win Rate in Ro16) (25% Retention since Ro64)
I've been interested in looking at these numbers since the first GSL, as I feel like most "balance" "discussion" comes down to who is performing at tournaments. Whether that is a valid gauge for how each race stands aside, the most common arguments that I hear (and make me die a little on the inside) are "Well, 42% of qualifiers are Zerg, they must be OP." or "Well 100% of GSL winners are Zerg, they must be OP."
I'd be curious what you guys, as players and commentators in a podcast titled "state of the game" think about the current state of the game, community, pro scene, and GSL.
Going into the GSL2 and 3 everyone has been saying it is harder and harder to get in as more and more talent shows up, but we still spent the Ro64 and Ro32 watching a fair number of fluff games and all-ins that really weren't all that interesting to watch.
And if the topic of the rule that must not be named is ever off the blacklist someone PM me. :-p

topic for next week - both huk and idra's stream busting 3-6k people, which competes with a lot of tournaments (besides the biggest ones)

It not only seems so, they really do much better since Ro32. Ro64 they had to cast 32 bo3 matches in four days and looked quite tired, Artosis a bit tortured and Tasteless a bit stupid. They said the Koreans have two teams of casters for the SC2 events. Tastosis had to do both the early and late shifts of the Ro64 days. (They mentioned the Korean female caster had to do that, too, because her counterpart from the second commentator team had lost his voice after that Pusan All-Star tourney.)

We don't allow Europeans near anything expensive.

I would love to see Jinro back on the show. He was awesome then, and twice as awesome now.
What are the chances of a pre-Cataclysm SotG? I can't go 2 weeks without a SotG.

He's probably too busy preparing for the GSL. Unless he's done by the next show? Hope not.
