I don't know why kennegit would bring up the fact that sometimes a player is off, 2 best of threes where only the second one matters is way worse for that than a best of 7, on average in the best of 7 the more consistent player would win even down 2-0 or 2-1.

Plus if someone meets someone a second time after losing 2-0 they can win 2-0. making it 2-2. Who realllly deserves going on at that point.

The best case against extended series is that(as idra said) If players are playing eachother for the 2nd time in a double elimination tournament the player who won earlier lost his advantage by losing in the winners bracket. So when they meet for the 2nd time it should be on a level playing field. Seems like Incontrol is having a hard time expressing it though.

I hope that's sarcasm. Lee's comments have been "I think it's fair because I think it's fair. I was like you guys once, but now MLG convinced me otherwise." He gives absolutely no support for his positions.

2. Even if this was the case it doesn't make Lee right. We should make a TL thread about this so we can finally discuss it to death... I have no doubt extended series would be found to be terrible for starcraft.

My argument against the extended series is that if the guy who knocked you into the losers brackets goes out of the tournament then you may never have to play an extended series.
