Seems a little weird to me that blame goes to Artosis for providing an alternative - kind of like blaming Google for making me figure out whether it or AskJeeves is better, but it's not that big a deal either way. oh yeah, we don't know anything about the situation and we don't need to either, so no need to go crazy imo. it's their personal thingy. all we should be doing is decide which show we want to watch (or maybe watch both) i think it's kinda funny how aggressively TB is talking about the Koreans 'marching through NA' when he's got his whole team over there lol

The winner of IEM WC wasn't at MLG, the winner of MLG isn't going to be at Dreamhack.

Blizzard made all regions equal in prize money as if they are equal in skill and that's where these problems are coming from in the first place. If you just region lock things then that is incredibly unfair to the Koreans, it's just punishing them for being better. WCS Korea prize money needs to be higher than the other regions, and not just 25% higher or some shit, they should be getting at least 5x as much. Do that and region lock it all and everything is nice and fair. Blizzard pretending that the monumental skill gap between regions simply doesn't exist is the root cause of these problems. I think the issue is that there's more motivating this system than just "everything should be a pure meritocracy". We all recognize that there's nothing inherent in Europeans / Americans that makes them less-good at SC2 than Koreans. So if you ever want non-Koreans to be as good as Koreans in general, you need to give them special attention and in particular spend more money incentivizing and training them. It's the same reason why we have progressive tax brackets. People at the bottom don't really deserve to be at the bottom a lot of the time; there are a lot of people who have the potential to be top-tier players, but for external reasons would never get there without some assistance.

4 People are currently working on WCS full time. That is absurd. Hopefully this gets rectified soon if they wish to have something done well. edit: Man, TB hard hitting question now as well. This is murder. Gotta give credit to cloaken for staying alive though.

I wasn't expecting that but, and maybe I'm being naive, but I was really hoping for him to be at least a little less company spiel and more straight from the heart, I guess is a way to put it. Edit: What I'm trying to say is that I was hoping for a little less "We wish you well with your future endeavors" type speak
