Also not sure why incontrol considers himself the biggest part of sotg, because Artosis is by far the most important part of the show for me without him, the show has no credibility it just becomes jp and 2 mid level masters players.

You have no idea what you are talking about. First off, JP was mid to high masters on the Korean server. Second, Incontrol is GM on NA. Third, if the show were based on skill level at SC2, it would be the most horrible podcast available. Being good at SC2 does not mean I am willing to listen to you for 2 hours weekly.

Well, it was just "hey, let's take one hour each week to talk sc2 and stream it". How could this have turned out in "can't do it, we aren't paid". I mean it's organized by themselves, I have no idea how money could get in the picture, it just doesn't make any sense. "They do things for free", well of course, unless they consider sotg as a job, and in this case I'm not sure I want them as guests. "Sorry Anna, we won't go for diner tonight unless you give me 100$". I mean, stog was just a relaxed show where they talked about various stuff, and the publicity the hosts got is good already. Sotg made the hosts as much as the hosts made Sotg. Since when have you to get paid to do something you enjoy outside of your job. Unless these guys jobs are now to be celebrities who get paid to go into talk shows ? How absurd is that. And I'm not a guy who wants everything to be free or supported by passion, and I'm fully supportive of these guys earning a decent life, but this show WAS made by passionate people, the fact that they now need to be paid or else no show explains a lot of things imo. How could this go from "hey guys, let's reunite once every week or two weeks and talk about sc2" to this. Now I understand why the show had difficulties. edit : if a sponsor wants to sponsor stog, then I understand that they just share the money, it's transforming a successful show into something lucrative. But the case here is very different. Here they transform a successful show into nothing because it's not lucrative enough. I don't even think it's a big deal, this is just...disappointing.

Inc said in his post that doing the show takes a toll on him. It's much worse recently than it was in the past. You can't expect someone to do something for free that harms them, and puts them at constant risk of jeopardizing their other jobs. In this sense I think Inc does deserve the most, easily. He contributes most to the entertainment value of the show, he puts himself out there the most, and he risks the most by doing so. Someone in that position needs to be compensated somehow. Let me direct you to day9 and his BW dailies/early sc2 ones. Hell, he got seriously sick a few times because of it, but did he stop because he wasn't receiving enough ad revenue/donations? You dont start "deserving" compensation until you can say "The hell with that, I dont need that money", not out of spite but out of love for what you're doing. If you need money then its just another job for you.

But there's no way you can criticize incontrol for not finding that funny. He has a very well developed sense of humor and comedy, much more so than any of the others, and that shows. People getting mad over that he doesn't giggle at anything the internet finds funny is so retarded. You know I agree with not criticizing someone for not laughing at a particular joke or something, but I don't think you can objectively quantify how much more "well-developed" Incontrol's sense of comedy is than anyone else on SotG, so making that point is a bit ridiculous. He is a funny guy though.

If you need money then its just another job for you. That's not how things work at all. You start deserving compensation when you start creating value. And compensation comes in many, many forms. For someone just starting out with a show, it's exposure and brand creation. For someone who's already arguably the most well-exposed figure in the scene, more brand creation and more exposure aren't priorities.
