That would be really great. Basically iNcontroL suggested they bring Avilo on for TvZ discussion after QXC vs IdrA finished. They bring him on eventually, and Avilo starts by asking iNcontroL about why he is so mean to him, but iNcontroL says to keep it focused on the balance discussion. At this point it is entirely between IdrA and Avilo. Avilo brings up some points, and IdrA responds to them. Then Avilo makes some comment about how LuckyFool made a point on something. IdrA responds with a condescending remark along the lines of "I guess I haven't been keeping up with LuckyFool's blog recently." Avilo then says something along the lines of "Some people who aren't as well known actually have good things to say in this community" obviously in a frustrated manner as he was clearly referring to himself (among others, I imagine). Then Avilo rants for awhile longer. IdrA goes to respond and Avilo says "HEY HEY HEY" over him. Geoff interjects and asks Avilo to let IdrA finish since IdrA was calm and quiet while Avilo spoke. The debate went on and Avilo tried to make it sound like IdrA was agreeing with him while he (Avilo) used some flawed logic and claimed to quote what IdrA was saying, when he wasn't. IdrA got angry and told him to STFU. JP hung up on the call with Avilo. Basically, it was pretty much what you would expect. I'm sure I forgot some details, but essentially Avilo came on to argue with IdrA, and IdrA lashed out as anyone would expect. Now everyone in this thread is treating it like the biggest fucking crime on the planet, and complaining about how terrible it was. You know it's possible to have a civil debate without telling the person to "shut the fuck up" for no good reason IDK, getting blatantly cut off seems like a good reason. Even if that isn't the optimal response.

"Use your brain" lol. I've seen you being salty about terran and a lot of things in this thread, so yea, i might have used the wrong words sorry. Well I have to say that I'm not easily shocked, and I found this shocking. I don't really know Avilo tho, but that was just...really low. JP was in panic mode at that point. kind of silly you MrCon expecting him to follow some sort of trainwreck protocol as if you in the same situation would do the same thing (and don't tell me you would that's just a dick answer) he stopped the situation getting even worse and picked the lesser of 2 evils Wheat would have handled that like that ? What's your point? that's a silly comparison to make The comparison between 2 show hosts is silly to make ? Just reread your post and mine, you'll see why I made the comparison. And Wheat hung up on come callers who were just saying random shit or insults, not on someone he invited to debate ? It seems you people are so used to sotg getting shit for the most trivial things made you also used to defend those things before you reflect on them. Is this thread in some kind of collective hysteria, no one is making sense. It's a silly comparison because Wheat has many more years in the host role than JP the fact that you make the point that Wheat would know correct trainwreck protocol and would execute it correctly is such a noshit point to make. Not that Wheat of all people would have seen the situation as you did and would have responded with your response. Ha ok, JP being a host and public figure for only 2 years makes him inexperienced. I should have used my brain, it was obvious.

IdrA was tame for the better half of the "debate" even though he obviously dislikes Avilo and didn't even want to talk to him. Avilo even came on the show acting like a passive aggressive prick and should have been hung up on right then and there. You can even tell it crossed JPs mind until Geoff hopped in and said "This is your only chance, don't blow it"
After IdrA attempting to be tame, Avilo totally blows it by interrupting him in the middle of talking and screaming "I agree with you!! I AGREE WITH YOU!!!!" Completely twisting IdrAs point around to favor his argument. This would anger anyone having a discussion with some random person, let alone someone you explicitly dislike. At that point, JP had to hang up on him or risk a further blow up from IdrA. are we watching the same show? Idra has been going full force in ad-hominem attacks and interrupting avilo nonstop before it even escalated to that point Avilo selectivly took parts of Idra's argument and then made it seem as if Idra was agreeing with Avilo which was not correct, how do you stop someone doing that and then not paying attention to you telling them that you're not fucking agreeing with them This. I love how people just missed the part where Avilo didn't listen to Idra at all and took out random unrelated parts of his argument and says that he "agrees with him." Idra was actually calmer and more reasonable than i expected until Avilo started to do that. I feel like the people in this thread weren't actually listening to illogical things that Avilo was saying. Avilo didn't made a lot of sense. It takes some composure to stay there while being insulted publicly tho and gang'ed by several people.. Also, Idra making the most random points like "terran just need to play better" or "terran macro can match zerg's macro" was frustrating and didn't help at all. The winner is still always the one who don't resort to insults. I'm still posting in this because I just can't understand people who try to defend Idra/Inc/JP's behavior. You really have to lack empathy to do that (not talking about you). But having Avilo, who was balance winning when terran had 75% winrate, as a terran representative wasn't very smart anyway ><

I didn't watch tonight's show, but this seems like a waste of time to complain about. If you're sick of drama and shit like this, then stop watching SoTG. It's really really simple. Complain with your stream views, not by writing novels on TL about how people were being bullies or that Avilo's an idiot. It's a waste of time to discuss this ad inifinitum when you can just not watch the show and actually show these players that they need to get their shit together.

This is such a ridiculous thread right now.
It's not fucking about balance, and it never was about balance. JP sets the agenda, he picks who he wants to have on the show and what he wants to talk about. The moment he stoops to listening to the chattering masses, the result is disaster. He's in such a no-win position. If he doesn't do a show, he gets crap from everyone for not doing a show because HE SWORE A BLOOD-OATH! or something. If he does do a show, then he gets crap because omg no Day9! or omg there isn't a Terran on the show! and when there is it's all omg it's Gretorp I hate him or omg it's PainUser that guy sucks why's he on SotG?!??. And then he listens to you, despite everyone else, the people who actually know stuff and matter to the community, saying it's a bad idea, brings on a dude who's known for being unpleasant and of course things went badly. His only mistake was caring at all what people in this thread think of his show.
If you don't like JP, or you don't like what happened on the show, or you don't think the hosts do a good job covering their topics, or you don't agree with the topics they choose, just don't watch and shut up. It's ok. We'll understand. But right now you're like that kid at the party who gets upset and is all "screw you guys! I'm going home! You jerks!" and then an hour later is still fucking standing in the doorway being an ass.

iNcontrol said GSTL too, kind of just lumping GSL/GSTL together.
That's where the ~30% comes from.
