In a way he's right though, if not to the extent he is claiming. It has definitely shifted slowly towards a more drama and gossip centered show and further and further away from game discussion / analysis.
Not that there's anything wrong with that, as long as people know what to expect going in. ^__^

They're personalities on an opinion-based show, there's tons of talk about strategy, roundups, HOTS, etc all the time. If you're complaining I just think you will never be happy with SOTG. They do both event/drama and strategy talk.
You really just need to take it for what it is, a bunch of bros coming together and talking about everything Starcraft.

This exactly.
None of them will be super critical about anything which would come back to haunt them.
It kind of like we get to sit in on a skype call between the 5 personalities as they chat about what they consider important issues for the past week or so and any upcoming goodness in the next week.
I think it's awesome and more than enough information about what's happening to keep me up to date, but it's certainly not indepth journalism or a non-biased perspective.

While making sure to not piss anyone off they actually work for which is kinda sad for the show.
Well.. It's still fun and good . I just remember catching the MP3 as soon as I could and nowadays i often miss a SOTG because, i don't know, it's just not the same anymore?

just a quick question. when is the next SotG anyways? ive always seen videos of memorable moments and everything but ive never actually seen it live cuz ive never had any notification for it. is this just something that goes up randomly or is there a schedule?

It's weekly, the same time every week except when there is an MLG that weekend or an MLg just finished cause often they are too busy or too tired.
However ep 60 was the last one for the year.
I would expect them back either 1st or 2nd week of jan and mostly saying OMFG BLIZZCUP FINALS ROCKED and a bit about up and downs (poor huk. wtf was that man?) and what they did over christmas. 
Also their predictions for the next GSL. Should be good!

I checked majorleaguegaming.com and it still says episode 59, i also checked blip.tv and its not up there either... so where is it? or has it still not been uploaded yet? and yes i know the mp3 is on the homepage but i specifically want to "watch" it and since I'm in poland i didn't stay up to watch it live, thanks i advance!!!

Inside the Game covers the in-game stuff...SOTG has a focus on out of game stuff. Cross over happens a lot but they tend to have those respective foci. Which is fine, because I like to hear the behind the scene stuff that goes on at tournaments and stuff. It humanizes the people behind the names and gives substance to them.

I don't think Sean would have straight up lied about it to be honest. Besides, hitting GM level MMR-wise on NA really isn't something that any ex-BW tournament player can't accomplish without mass gaming. Whether you're actually in GM or not depends on activity, so I'm not too sure about that.
As for the SOTG/drama thing, to be honest my ideal show would be 4 Tylers discussing anything. He talks about everything in a collected and reasonable manner that it feels good to hear his opinion even if you disagree with it.

I'd totally buy a game called "RobotsDieToBugs2". Yeah the show isn't as much about strategy as it has been previously but if you want intense strategy talk all show long go watch inside the game, if you want an incredibly entertaining show that is more so about drama then watch state of the game. It's not like your being forced to watch it there are other places to get high level strategy talk go there if that's what you want.
