Not gonna lie, this SOTG has been basically the same as it normally has been. The hosts need to drink some more asap.

@InControl, was Idra being serious about Cella coming on the show drunk? We could see the skype for a second over your video feed. If so please put him on!

Tyler just articulated exactly what i thought of the Naniwa situation beautifully. God i love that guy and the cut of his tongue.

pretty sure his sponsors and his name are being talked about 900,000 times more than if he played a normal game and even ended up winning. exposure seems to be the #1 goal for esports sponsors right now and you can't buy the attention naniwa is getting lately.

Agreed. Went into this hoping for an usual, exceptional SotG. Instead got another mediocre show with the usual dick sucking and boring commentary. Disappointing.

I think Tyler is wrong about only caring about tournament results, because finishing 4th instead of 5th is a better "tournament result." Say there was a 3rd place match that wasn't worth anymore money wouldn't you play it out for the better result?

Tournaments should also add in a rule so that Naniwa can't cheat and look at a replay in a replayed game.

Lip service/dishonorable to not try regardless.

By making people think that you tried is no better. :/

If by try you mean reveal w/e serious strategy (whether player/map/timing abusive) then no, you're wrong if you think Nani OR Nestea should've brought that out.

I'm not talking about serious strategy. The game had no ramifications on anything. It changes nothing. It shouldn't have been played at all because it was inconsequential.

I much rather have them cancel it.

I don't want to see players play half-ass. I will skip it every time if I think they are going to throw a match.

The show jumped the shark I think. They've been on the same uninteresting topic for way to long. I can't really rewatch this episode after this whole naniwa topic. Really loved the start of it too.

He wants to win the tournament. I don't think Naniwa sees a distinction between 8th place and 16th place.

Agree with Artosis, pride definitely played its part (along with sheer exhaustion, of course).

But at the same time, I disagree people will discount the loss as not a real loss. It is a real loss, even if it's more of a psychological loss in an unimportant game. But still, Nestea wasn't the one who forfeited, so he deserved winning his 4th place. To me this loss in the 1v1s between the two of them counts, Naniwa was the weaker one this day.

What Naniwa won was the trolling game between them though, he probably felt like the moral winner.
