We want the shows to be reliable, when they are aired and when they are uploaded. We want interesting guests, we want interesting topics, we want a well made show. We want a good show so many people will watch it.
They want people to go to MLG.tv. They want people to spread the show via word of mouth, social media and push MLG. They want exposure to put announcements to a greater audience. They want as many viewers as possible, so they try to make a good show.
Can't you see they co-exist? We, the audience, are indirectly funding and making it possible through viewer-ship. They want this, and they want to make attractive content for their site.
Should this mean people should critique it? Of course. Should this mean people should have expectations? Of course. Should this mean people either go over the top and throwing their proverbial poop around when those expectations aren't met (quality, guests, comments, time to upload)? No.
It's context. Never, either taking it to either extreme "OMFG WHERE IT IS JP U LAZY" or "guys stop complaining about getting FREE STUFF zomg", is ever a good thing. This is pretty much comparable through-out everything in life, and on the internet people like to jump to excessive conclusions and opinions.
You know what gets you what you want? Not looking like a complete moron and using your head. Vehemently taking one side too strongly and using pretty amazingly shocking analogies (BBC is public broadcasting, deriving revenue and funding through a license fee which totally changes the model it has for how and what demands they must fulfil and how broad the content they provide must be to encapsulate everyone, not just any demographic) is a pretty damn good way to get ignored.
Everyone has the fundamental right to be offended, shocked, disappointed, etc. But that's all it is, a right to feel that way. That right extends no further, your right to be upset never affects my right to do whatever it is that upset you (out of obvious legal/moral grounds).
TL;DR: Constructive criticism, well written complaints, vote with your viewership
Need to agree with this guy, just wanna say one thing: for the QUUUUUEEEEEENNNNNN!
Holy sh1t guys, stop talking about sodomy, cant get turn in on at work!

User was temp banned for this post. eSports will go Nowhere with guys like u bitching around about FREE STUFF they get. U GET FREE STUFF AND U STILL CRY. u know they could just go "fuck you" and stop the show? or charge money for the show? but then u little 12 year old would go "oh my mother cant give me any more money I CANT WATCH SOTG FUCK EVERYONE" right? + Show Spoiler +How about i go to your house and provide with some quality professional sodomy?? And don't you dare complain about the color of my shirt or anything, UR GETTING FREE STUFF:
That comparison makes no sense at all on any level. It doesn't? You can't make the connection between SOTG and free professional quality sodomy? Maybe you aren't getting the sodomy you deserve.
a better comparision would be that someone shouldn't complain when you stop giving them professional sodomy or your schedual changes.
You can always choose to not watch SotG just like someone would be able to choose not to partake in your sodomy

from MLG Twitter: Unfortunately @StateOfTheGame will not air tonight in Orlando due to time constraints. It may or may not happen this weekend. #SC2
I just ask, since when is Sotg entirely on MLGs Strings and since when is it restrained by Time weird.
It always has stricken me as a sort of JP Selfproduction with Guys who just want to talk about SC2. it was never so dependent on time also, Episodes are getting shorter and shorter and feel a bit rushed.
anyway there is alot to still discuss, just 1 Point Stephanos Win over Korean is a Topic that definitly should not be forgotten.

Its 06:03am here, wtf no time, slackers

From the MLG CoverItLive blog -- State of the Game won't be airing on the red/blue streams because those streams are controlled by the sat truck. Our two beta streams, however, are another story- and we will be streaming matches from Open Winners Round 3 and 4 there until those rounds are done. Go change into your pajamas and pour yourself your beverage of choice- this night is FAR FROM OVER.
So I guess it will be happening after all?

No I don't think so. I think the streams will only be up to show the OWR3 and OWR4, not SoTG, I might be wrong.

Because everyone who would be in SOTG is at the event and it's kind of important to get some sleep when you're competing or working an event?

Yes I understand that I am very sorry didnt consider that many ppl are active at the Event so its okay. PPL need their Rest to show the best Performance Tommorow too, Still some important Topics for next Sotg should not be forgotten.

Wish they could just do it like prior to friday's events starting. Maybe around 1-2 local time to the event. But i'm sure everyones getting their game faces on then. SoTG at mlg just doesn't work really. I'd rather get a full show on tuesdays anyways :p
Thanks for trying JP keep your work up son.

Well I mean, if it was not partnered with MLG, there wouldn't even be a chance of a show tonight. It's JP's show, so its his choice where he wants to take it, if he decided that SotG was going to be about My Little Pony instead of SC, so be it. If you don't like the show after MLG got involved, I guess don't listen. But it would be weird, since it hasn't really changed much, except for adding an additional host, which will of course mean that they will spend more time talking about one subject.

damn, i'm still up at 7:00AM to find there's no SOTG! :'(

kind of sucks =( maybe they'll squeeze it in later. You know if they could, would give us an SotG. It's just not feasible tonight

Yes I was starting of a bit harsh so I corrected myself
