I've found SOTG to become a lot less interesting since they signed onto MLG. Uploads are slow, the MLG website is terrible, they fragment the show into 6 parts, spammed with commercials that used to never exist. They haven't covered IPL at all for most part despite it being such an awesome tournament that introduced a lot of new things to the scene is what I find most disappointing. Let's not forget that there was alcohol involved in IPL
sotg has never been afraid of a drunk cast

I just ask, since when is Sotg entirely on MLGs Strings and since when is it restrained by Time weird.
It always has stricken me as a sort of JP Selfproduction with Guys who just want to talk about SC2. it was never so dependent on time also, Episodes are getting shorter and shorter and feel a bit rushed.
anyway there is alot to still discuss, just 1 Point Stephanos Win over Korean is a Topic that definitly should not be forgotten.
Because everyone who would be in SOTG is at the event and it's kind of important to get some sleep when you're competing or working an event?
incontrol has made it public knowledge that he stays up till 'gamer times' anyway, artosis would be on korean time so who knows how he would feel. the other 2 im not sure about but staying up till 1am is hardly a lot to ask when mlg is asking all of europe to stay up till 5am

This is a ridiculous perspective. Nobody at the event is staying up until "gamer times" when thousands of dollars are on the line. If you think any of those players are doing anything besides sleeping as soon as they leave MLG, you crazy. Many of them have games as early as 10 AM, and Artosis said he hadn't slept since 5 AM and would love to be in bed right now during his final games.
MLG isn't asking anyone to stay up until 5 AM, that's called timezones.
The level of entitlement in this thread is baffling.

mlg doesnt start their friday until 7pm? theres no reason to not start at 5:30 or 6, and it would make a huge difference to europeans. its not entitlement at all -_-. im simply stating the facts. if artosis is tired, thats fine, and like i said i have no idea on the sleep patterns of tyler and day9. stop being so confrontational

Noone asking ppl from EU to stay up till 5am. Thats why theres vods / mp3 later on. Im sure you wont die just becouse you didn't watched it live.

Einstein had a theory about time and space. This theory tries to explain why it is not possible that MLG uploads the VOD for a SotG of the future.

Could someone fill me in on what quote that was, I like both of those players so much... Thanks.

ok i was wrong, pulling american time zones out of my head isnt a strong suit. its still awful for about half their audience either way

I Didn't Know that all of europe was in a competition for 5 grand
you honestly don't thuink it is okay to let players and casters get some rest.
iNcontrol and Tyler would probably be fine as they dont have to play till the afternoon but JP and Day9 have to get up at a decent hour to start casting.
It was schedualed to start at 1am EST and know how long a real SotG goes on they would be lucky to get out of there by 4. Then they would have to get back for 10 ish so anywhere from 4-5 hours of sleep. not to mention they were running behind so they would be there even later.
It was perfectly reasonable for them to cancel it

MLG starts there friday at 5pm which is when most NAicans get off work. the 30 mins preshow give them time to get home.
OMG the NAican tourney caters to NAican viewers. If i wanna watch Dreamhack i have to miss class or watch Vods would it be reasonable for me to ask dream hack to start at a NAican friendly time?

They never do a SotG on the week before MLG.

They did a SotG at Raleigh and it was so bad, 20min interview with sundace and then like 20min of tired Tastosis and Incontol and day9... Its better to cancel the show than have 40-50min show where everyone are too tired to talk and think only about sleep and prepare for next day of casting/playing.

State of the Game isn't something I pay for, it's some free entertainment that comes out weekly with some breaks. I can't see how anyone would feel angry over a week here and there when it's not on.
Disappointed yet, but you are not owed a free show ...

So the vibe I'm getting is that they cancelled it last night?

Can some one link to the 53 episode of SOTG ?
