His points were so ridiculous and just completely anger driven. He didn't come up with a solid reasonable argument for anything, and he obviously didn't think things through well at all as he was constantly contradicting himself

I think it was directly after MLG DC before everyone left from DC, because emotions were really high on the event. I also think that they said this at some point but i don't feel like going back and checking. Also, IdrA wasn't at blizzcon

If slasher can't understand what it means and find it offensive toward select, it's his problem, maybe he should start playing the game to actually understand what incontrol and the others are talking about.

I think someone has to play Devil's Advocate sometimes, it makes people take a step back and think about what they actually disliked about Select's play at MLG rather than just jump on the bandwagon. He would make it more interesting playing the "devil's advocate" if he actually knew something about the game / wasn't so ignorant. Everyone's past Select at MLG.. no reason to banter about it anymore. I don't blame incontrol for defending his point either though Please no more Slasher, let's keep this a high level starcraft 2 podcast ![]() Also I love it when anyone from the korean scene is on the show.. makes it very interesting IMO

Please dont ruin the episodes guys! This is old, old news man. But I think quite a few regular listeners felt the same way, which in part lead to a semi-shitstorm on this thread, To put this in context: this podcast was done on the Sunday the day after the MLG, after Select had placed 2nd the day before. Bear in mind, on the Thursday/Friday (first day of MLG), they had done a mini-cast where basically the SOTG hosts kind-of-sort-of didn't think Select would accomplish much in the tournament. Then on the Saturday, after Select won seven back-to-back elimination matches in a row to place 2nd -- against some pretty damn good players -- InControl kind-of-sort-of went out his way to say that while it was a great accomplishment, he didn't forsee Select's style having much success in the future. And they spent the rest of the weekend making fun of his build. Also ... While some of you might feel Slasher was a 'moron', his reaction was shared by quite a few fans of the show and the game. To a certain extent, I think a lot fans were expecting a "fan reaction" from the show: Select's ability to grind out seven straight wins (I believe he played 22 games that day, including 3-1-ing Nony) was a pretty badass accomplishment, and should have been the story of the tournament. Instead, the fan's got a lot of players shit-talking about how, "Sure, Select did well this time, but ... ." Imagine watching Lebron make eleven 3-pointers in a row in a playoff game, and the guy next to you says, "Yeah, he did pretty well, but if he doesn't work on his free-throw shooting or ball-handling he isn't going to do much in the future." It's not that the guy next to you is wrong, but it kind of sucks the fun and excitement out of a great performance. And it makes the guy next to you look like a bit of a jerkass.

SotG is the sexiest damn thing I've ever listened to. I listen to it no matter what I'm doing. I just throw that shit on repeat, I listen to the same episodes over and over xD I took my mp3 player into the shower the other day (its not waterproof) because I couldn't bring myself to stop listening. It's funny and well put together and just represents everything that makes the Starcraft 2 community so fucking awesome. Keep up your awesome work, I try and promote this show to my friends and any SC2 community I can. You guys are sick <3
