It's not "tonight" for Europeans which is the reason I was so confused ... it never says that its tonight, because its actually tomorrow morning
Sigh.. reading comprehension -.-... Everybody said that they were looking forward to tonight, thus I was confused :p...

I can understand him being sad, his friend left his team. I can understand him being happy, his friend is making a lot of money doing what he loves.
But mad? I would never be mad at a friend for this. well, he won't be mad about the fact that huk left but because of the way EG announced. It would be understandable at least, because it doesn't feel right to announce it like they did. In my opinion it was a pretty disrespectful way of announcing it. It was a very good way to announce it like that imo. slowly giving clues to the community about EGHuk so they can get used to that Idea. If they would have announced it just in one post like that, there would have been far more upsets and uproar
i can see your point that it was exciting, but - i guess you read the "mystery announcement"-thread - there were many people hating the policy of EG and they might have sidestepped this by just having teamLiquid announce it. It might have been a "boring" way but maybe a better one and imo more respectful.

That there isn't one today.
Also someone in the chat said it's over... wtf? Not sure if troll or not but that would suck. Best Sc2 /Esports related show imho

Really hope Tyler says something this SotG about his own performance that will give me some hope for Liquid T.T. I don't know about you,but having Sheth and Ret(both better zergs than IdrA imo) and a great young protoss prospect like Hero,TL's future looks bright even if Jinro and Tyler don't recover from their slumps. Tyler? A slump tends to imply one had success in the first place. Jinro performed quite well in the GSL, so I can see where you're coming from there, but Tyler has yet to post any noteworthy results in SC2. Shitting on Tyler will only get you seen as a SC2 noob. Uhh what? What he says is true. If people are noobs for separating BW and SC2 success then might as well call me a noob too.
By Tyler's own admission, he is too apathetic to practise more than 10 games a week now and he is still competetive. There doesn't seem to have been any point in his SC2 career that he was really practising properly. His fans believe him when he says that he will will recover, that his career has ups and downs, and to wait patiently for him to rise again and know that it'll be fucking sick when he does.
Is there really no SOTG this week <:o? Harsh.

There was really no logical reason for the community to produce so much traffic on the forums, and their way of announcing it would not have felt so weird, if it would have stayed as a 12 page thread or something (I bet the 600 page thread would shrink to a dozen pages, if you would remove all posts that repeat something that was already written in a previous post in that same thread).
I am basically suggesting, the over-the-top part of the mystery announcement was produced by the community, not really EG, though they are probably super happy with how much exposure their brand got with it.

You don't do a "mystery announcement" countdown with cryptic messages and coordinated hints from multiple sources if you don't want a ton of hype. EG knew full well that people would freak out, they wouldn't have put so much work into it if that wasn't their goal.
And don't get me wrong, I think it was genius and awesome that they did that, I just won't pretend they didn't want the forums to turn into a shitshow for two days.

Yeah, way too coordinated and thought-out to be unintentionally hype. I mean props to them, it worked. Gets a little old but this was definitely kicking it up a notch.
I probably would be more receptive if I were happier about the results.
And there better be a show tonight!

Can we talk about liquids new star player Liquid Ret instead of EG's new star player huk, or maybe we can talk about brollosus

Tyler deactivated his twitter account right? Maybe JP was only tagging those with twitter accounts.

Still even before this tweet I was expecting that he might not show for this episode... On top of the Reddit crap and then this being such an emotional issue it would probably be pretty tense.

Jp said on stream he hasn't talked to Tyler on stream. JP essentially said If tyler wants to come on he's still more than welcome too, however jp hasn't had any confirmation that he will be on.
