There was really no logical reason for the community to produce so much traffic on the forums, and their way of announcing it would not have felt so weird, if it would have stayed as a 12 page thread or something (I bet the 600 page thread would shrink to a dozen pages, if you would remove all posts that repeat something that was already written in a previous post in that same thread). I am basically suggesting, the over-the-top part of the mystery announcement was produced by the community, not really EG, though they are probably super happy with how much exposure their brand got with it.  | ||
