Also the 1v1 tournament culture produces very very similar feels. Now I haven't been to MLG or something but from reading about it and other tournaments it strikes me exactly as a fencing tournament. From how brackets work to how famous names can drop early or later, all depending on how someone preforms that day. Even the social aspects seem very social with people coming together as good friends only as these massive tournaments despite being spread across the continent. That was awful long but if anyone yall want to try some physical activity that has a Starcraft feel maybe go pick up a fencing sword. Maybe some other fencers here on TL can back me up.

I think this is mostly due to the lack of random players in general ;P we all sorta picked a race and stuck with it after TLO went ahead and rolled terran so there aint really a figurehead for that stuff :3

Perhaps something outside of the typical gaming hardware realm, like a Lays or some other huge corporation which would help bring competitive gaming into the mainstream.

Anyways, I'd like to echo the previous request about that picture of HD doing the dagger eyes thing. And err... unless the story is supposed to be hush hush, does anyone know about that tournament that Fenix(?) couldn't go to?

Thanks for answering my question guys. It's great that you and Nony are on teams that you're proud of and feel comfortable with. I have a follow-up question: should there be an age limit for professional players, or alternate leagues for REALLY young players? I know the sport still has to mature, but the idea of a 15 year old kid dropping out of school to play professional Starcraft 10+ hours a day just doesn't seem good for the sport's reputation in the long-term.
