The SotG deal fell through but ITG was already mostly set up so they decided to go through with it? Basically the only part I missed in your explanation was why they handled it so poorly... It doesnt matter though.. I heard a caller earlier on inside the game asking questions about saturating his base ... id watch an HDHusky cast if I wanted something explained to me that I couldnt find in 5 seconds on TL.net.

Add to that the hypocrisy of this Alex guy constantly repeating that "they never wanted to screw over SotG" after that's exactly what they did is adding more wood to the fire that is this PR fuck up. I am a huge fan of iNcontroL, and this isn't going to change, but EG as a team and as a company can go fuck themselves in my book. maybe finish 9th grade, and then maybe you'll understand the issue here. The SotG deal fell through but ITG was already mostly set up so they decided to go through with it? This, and then the management (and himself probably) felt that Incontrol was overtasked as a player and they decided to start slimming his obligations, starting with SotG - but now NASL as well so it can't be that malicious. I understand why EG believes they don't HAVE to say this in a press release or anything, which they absolutely don't if it had been slightly more transparent from the start. However when they started denying it and making a... weird deal about it themselves I feel the best move would have been to simply make a statement and be done with it. The community pretty much agrees its not what happened but how, which this would have eliminated instantaneously. I haven't been in charge of anything of this scale though. The whole thing's just...... weird lol.

Well yeah, I don't really get that either, I think if they'd just have been upfront about it there'd be a lot less drama. People would obviously still be upset about business getting involved, but that's unavoidable. Business, god forbid! But hey, those progaming salaries and prize pools have to come from somewhere after all.

Doesn't change the community's desire to have Geoff on SOTG. PLEASE rearrange your commercial side to let this happen. Tell us how much we need to donate to make that happen.

JP has been working his ass off, for just recently being hired by MLG. He has been doing SOTG and all his other community work for literally nothing. It is perfectly understandable, the moment he gets a sponsorship offer we would likely take it. And if you still don't see how sponsors are needed and a good thing and sponsorship conflicts are natural occurrences, I really don't know.

This puts EG and its sponsors in SUCH a bad light;( I guess they hoped they never had to come out and explain the situation.

Alex said it himself, that whole ordeal that "started" this chain of events fell through.

How do you expect the pro players to pay their bills. They tried to keep the show running, but it didn't work out. I sort of upset that they are going to this level to explain this to people. They don't owe us everything.
