So from the sounds of what I am hearing on inside the game. It really is exactly what everyone said they just weren't very transparent about it. And that the public doesn't need to know, they don't need to tell us.

Basically, SotG was about to get a sponsor deal from a team that was not EG, creating an obvious conflict of interest for Incontrol. In mutual understanding EG decided to set up their own show (Inside the Game), with Incontrol on it. The SotG deal fell through but ITG was already mostly set up so they decided to go through with it?

Yea I thought this "airing of the truth" was going to be something to dispel what people have been saying but in fact it's just confirming it to all be true. Rather saddened. Not that I dislike EG or Incontrol. I like Geoff and I strongly agree with his decision to focus more on playing but this is just such a disgusting ordeal.

sigh... atleast E-sports is starting to look like real sports T_T

Jesus christ this is getting me pretty angry. So it was pretty much about money? That's the message I'm getting here. Add to that the hypocrisy of this Alex guy constantly repeating that "they never wanted to screw over SotG" after that's exactly what they did is adding more wood to the fire that is this PR fuck up. I am a huge fan of iNcontroL, and this isn't going to change, but EG as a team and as a company can go fuck themselves in my book.

Edit:
Let me add that from what Alex has said, EG had a perfectly fine reason for wanting iNcontroL to leave the SotG cast. Even if I don't agree with it, I can accept it. The part that really bugs me is that SOMEBODY on EG lied to (or tried to deceive, whatever) to the community as a whole.

probably cause u dont talk about other people's (JP's) business? but now since the community wants to make a whole big deal out of it, they have to. JP probably knew what was going on, dont see everyone hating on him for not clarifying stuff.

Conflicting sponsorships is hardly "screwing over" SOTG, is it?

Do note the show was running on handshakes and good will, and only recently JP managed to land a paid position at MLG. When JP got that potential deal, no one could have blamed him for finally making money with what he does.

Unfortunately things seemed not to work out in a timely manner, which forced EG to look for ways to compensate Incontrol for the possible "income loss". That's how ITG was born. By that time it turned out JP turned the inital offer down- unfortunate turns of events? Sure, but things were settled already.

It's perfectly sensible, since we still see that SOTG isn't fully figured out and JP is preparing for changes.

Yes EG had 100% legitimate reasons for pulling Incontrol off the show based on what he's saying.

I've said negative things about EG in this thread before but this basically closes this little "drama" for me atleast.
