Not at all, I think incontrol and the others were right to point that out. My biggest critisism is just that it didn't really feel like they recognized that Select is a pretty superb player and while his BO is always same/similar his micro and decision making is what made him win a lot of those games. It isn't so much that incontrol and the rest should be drooling over him.
But incontrol replied earlier to me that he felt he was a great player that has the skills to be able to diverse(whether he does or doesn't), which was all I felt might've been, maybe not missing but it didn't get as much attention as atleast the 1 BO play.

Incontrol i ask you this? How is playing the best build that has no direct counters, gets you a quicker expansion, punishes all in's, and in general a super solid standard build bad? He uses the most cost efficient units and with his superb control that he showcased which is by far the best micro we have currently seen in SC2. This shit was a pow wow of the "in-crowd" which had nothing to do with the state of the game. I normally love listening to this, but I wish I could just unhear that circlejerk bitch-fest.
Not that I don't enjoy reading forum drama.... but we do listen to the podcast to get these people's opinions. I personally like the fact that there's a low level of personal restraint. I'd rather hear what they're actually thinking rather then criticize them for saying it. (I put my vote into a 1-2 drink minimum per caster for a show, that'd be hilarious)
I mean, its obvious all on the cast respected the results that Select came out with. I feel like some of you guys are just trying to push what they say completely out of context and then getting really agitated about it. I see some people who seem to get angry at every episode they listen and post here as soon as they can about how people on the show "clearly have the wrong opinion". Dude, just don't listen then!

What did he deserve? An hour of worship instead? If I recall, somewhere right in the beginning of the cast, incontrol repeatedly said select did WELL and beat some top players. Or did you just choose to ignore that?

Don't see what that has to do with giving him credit. He got second place, and well deserved, but that doesn't entitle him to anything more, I've never seen him do particularly good interviews or give great insight to the community and it is not like if he was at the cast that anything that those guys said would be less true. What do you think he could have actually added to the cast beyond what people there already said (and did so quite well)?
