Why do people pretend that 2 weeks is a reasonable time-frame for a balance patch post-release? They can't release knee-jerk fixes like in beta anymore. It would cause a huge shitstorm if release patches had the instability/inconsistency of beta patches. Even if they started working on it the day the game hit shelves, it would probably take 3-4 weeks of thorough testing before a patch as major as what's needed to fix ZvT could even be feasibly released.

Its popular opinion at this point but until we see some real proof showing imbalances, its just speculation. Maybe its reasonable to believe, I'd certainly put weight on the opinion of pros saying Zerg is weak v Terran, but its not in any way a fact.

It would be understandable if he would've done that against a protoss or something, but switching to terran against a terran and then owning him in mirror match is really ridiculous. BOTH players switched races -_- Dimaga was down 0-2 ZvT, won a TvZ, then won a ZvT, then won a TvZ. He didn't beat Demuslim in TvT --

I want to see players of all races take the challenge and commit to persevering and overcoming any (alleged) imbalances and win nonetheless, wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air after all this stale, slightly rancid complaining? Isn't that closer to the spirit of competitiveness which you all supposedly have?

If a player of drewbies level says his own race is imbalanced in the matchup, who the fuck are you to deny it. Seriously, I can just as easily claim that only our solar system exists in the universe SO WHAT IF SCIENTISTS TELL ME OTHERWISE THATS JUST POPULAR OPINION. i didnt see any other fuckin solar systems face to face yo

I understand that as a mid-level diamond player, any game I lose is because I didn't play as well as I could have played. But since I don't have enough time to practice more than an hour or 2 a day, I'm never going to be flawless, I'm going to make mistakes and correcting those mistakes is all I have to do to win the next game. If at the very top level the matchups are imbalanced and Dimaga wants to switch, that's fine by me. I think once planetary fortresses get removed from the game, and the preigniter upgrade gets nuked/removed, suddenly the matchup will be balanced again. I realize a bunch of retards are going to say HURP DUPR DATS NOT EVEN WUTS WRONG WIFF DA MATCHUP, but yes, paper lings are the core problem right now, if lings were actually useful in the late game as they were in broodwar, this problem wouldn't exist.

Those two are fine by me. There is absolutely no reason to remove the igniter (even as a Z players). It is one of those key upgrades that are just needed. As for the PF, that's pretty key in all matchups. I just have fun having a bunch of scvs around it repairing it and killing off un-micro'ed attackers. Those are just two things that I believe shouldn't be touched...however..........

And perhaps have you thought that it might you and your understanding of the matchup! The "amount" of Terrans winning / (finishs at the top) of the tournaments. The "amount" of Terrans at the top 200s of each server, even though Protoss is the most played race overall. The amount of Terran who openly state that match-up is broken. The amount of Terran who state their best match-up is TvZ and worst match-up being TvT(ROFL). BTW Goodluck to you in korea, hopefully STC and Ensare can teach you some tricks ![]()

Good attitude. Since you can't do much about it, even if it is not balanced, best to knuckle down and play your best.

Not going to spoil the result here but the interviewer asked both players (and lots of other players) about what they felt about TvZ (im)balance. It was great to hear Madfrog's reply: 'I have nothing to say.' When asked again, he said 'I don't like to whine.' Good attitude. Since you can't do much about it, even if it is not balanced, best to knuckle down and play your best. He has to act professional, if I were him I would of pulled my hair out because the matches were complete bullshit. I feel bad for Zergs.

honestly whoever came up with healing drop ships has got to be publicly executed. his family should be charged for the cost of the bullet and an obelisk should be erected on top of his grave with the following written on it: "For harsh crimes against the Protoss and Zerg, this will forever be a reminder that discrimination against other species will not be tolerated" Amen...

Dimaga's Terran was laughable and Muslim's Zerg wasn't much better. That proves nothing when they both play so incompetent. This, Dimaga beating a offracing Z with T tells you absolutely nothing except that Dimaga probably has played more T than demuslim has played Z.

Isn't that closer to the spirit of competitiveness which you all supposedly have? Are we allowed to discuss balance without complaining? Most people say <anything> that is against their opinion = complaining/whining. People still play Zerg for a reason, even if they think it is imbalanced. Thus you already see what you "want" to see.
