What ocedic said.
You should use the same rule that Kespa uses in Korean Broodwar matches. If you have some problems, you tell it to the chat by (pause,pp, etc) and then the tournament Referee pauses the game. Then you start fixing your problem. Its ridiculous to 'summon' the referee to ask pause.
Imagine a somekind of fight. Player1 loses control of his mouse for example and he needs to summon the ref to get to the player and tell what is happening. It'll be too late to do anything by then.

If an issue arises that requires a Pause, Players should contact their Referee immediately. Referees may approve or deny a Player’s request to Pause the Game. Pausing a Game without Referee’s permission will result in a Warning. If a Player receives a 2nd Warning they will Forfeit their current Game (See Gameplay Rule #17). I have a mouse that sometimes freezes and requires me to divert my attention to fix it it's a very infrequent problem but if something along this line occurs the player would have to either look away and try and fix it and hope nothing important happens or stop doing anything to call a ref for permission to pause :/ It's not a super uncommon issue for a mouse to mess up on occasion either idk there are rules about a computer or monitor malfunction but theres also random keyboard issues in sc2 where it won't respond and said mouse issues. Not trying to be confrontational but why don't you get a new mouse? If I were your opponent, I wouldn't mind you pausing if you had a freak mouse issue, but you KNOW that your mouse does so occasionally and yet you still use it? However, I do agree that having to summon a ref over to pause is ridiculous. A rule that punishes a pause without reason AFTER the fact would make sense, but as all gamers know there are pressing issues that require pause.
It's an $80 mouse that I got for free for helping someone with a contest but because of the transactions that occured it's hard to get warranty to exchange it. There is a valid warranty but in order to file it I need to have the order number as well as the serial number. The Serial # is fine but since the organizer received the mouse as a prize to give away there is no order number so red tape is a pain in the ass. I have tried on two occasions to exchange it but get told without an order number I cannot. So now I have an excellent mouse with a bit of a flaw that is under warranty and I cannot currently afford to replace it.

im possibly even more excited about the casters than the player pool lol, day9, husky and HD riffing off eachother should be great.

Like the mix between well-known players and guys I have never heard about. New blood is a good thing.

i will fight my urge to bash MLG and call them out for what they really are and just say im very excited to see the games and commentaries from this......hopefully we will have better finals than the IEM IMO the dimaga vs tarson games were way better than the finals.....sad but true.

I just hope the bracket is even, random seeding with a bunch of unknowns is kinda scary just because of the possibility of getting all the good players playing each other first :p

I just hope we see some Protoss representation this time.

I don't understand why chatting is still banned now that kespa doesn't control tourneys.

Keep in mind the 32 not-well known people have not been accounted for race-wise.
