you know what, despite all the things wrong with sc2, this is exactly why sc2 is awesome, as long as i can sit back and just enjoy the game, that's all that matters
Eh, I could swear the second day it was a best of five.

+ Show Spoiler +In fact, the five games you showed here are I think all the games of the second day, when they had a 3-2 final score. (I'm less certain about this though)
Day two was a Bo5. You should also check out the TLO vs Krzysztof games.

Day 2 was a Best of 5 (and a very exciting one too ^_^)
Day 2 = BO5 etc.
Does Madfrog keep putting snus into his mouth before and after matches?
Is that Kevin aka ‘Rotterdam’ doing the interview?
Really enjoyed that first game. Working through them now :D Appreciate the mass linkage.
Demuslim commentarry!
Whos the american-accent commentator? He's good. I recognize rotterdam and demuslim.
Robert Simpson from the Battle Reports.
freaking awesome..saw the reps in the replay pack and made me really appriciate TLO terran play..really cool to see them play live

Oh, so hes not going to be a regular commentator. Too bad.

TLO looks so blazed in game 1 close up view lol i love how demuslim predicted fast bc's and TLO ended up going it..was pretty epic to see

waht i notice about madfrog is that his micro is really really good but his macro is lacking..i think its from coming from wc3

TLO is really really nice T, MadFrog did well also. I still remember old old UD vs HU WC3 games where he rocked everything over with just ghouls, dk and lich ))
Also it seems to me that TLO lost games just because he is sometimes way too creative )))
Woke up at 3am randomly, just to open up TL and see this starting like 5 minutes after I had plopped my buttox onto my computer chair. Fantastic games (although the delta quadrant sp? game was quite uneventful,in an interview TLO confirmed he did that build haphazardly off the tip of his tounge). Otherwise, the other 4 games were really really good, I was so glad that I saw this live, and now I get to watch these epic VOD's right here again, now at 4am days later :D

Hell yes, double snuff after first game by madfrog xD
Is that rotterdam in the middle with the mic? I thought I would recognise that sexy guy anywhere..

That picture is a crazy spoiler lol (You can leave it in there tho, most people on here aren't sensible enough to read body language anyway)

You're right, but it becomes even more of a spoiler after your post, and I'm not sure you can tell how sensible people are, especially the lurkers. (Don't know if it would have spoiled it for me since I already knew who won from the other thread.)
OP should delete the 2nd pic.
Why should they delete the 2nd pic? It's from day 1 after they played the BO3. On day 2 Rotterdam wasn't the one that did the interviews etc. Day 2 was handled by Rob and Demuslim.
That is to say I haven't seen Rotterdam on any of the Vods of day 2.

Ah, ok, then maybe a caption might do. But if people don't know that, it still gives them the idea.
Osmoses: Sick! :D

Wow MadFrog! Loved his playstyle in WC3 as Undead. I can see why he picked Zerg due to the similar tech upgrading path as War3.
Also....jesus Madfrog is pretty buffed lol...
And lol Game 2, not so much of a spoiler, but Frog had a queen with max energy and decided to place all his energy on creep tumors right next to explo while terran destroyed it lol..He had like 5-6+ tumors going on haha...
wow, demuslim is a really great commentator :o
having "matt simpson, e-sports team member" commentate sums up how little the execs know about the community. when they were assembling their team of e-sport pro journalists shouldn't they have found someone with a history of either gaming or commentating, both? From his performance it seems he knows little about either.

A lot of former WC3 players have that problem, including me. That's until till I started to play Brood War right before the release of StarCraft 2
But seriously Madfrog is awesome! It's good to see him back in eSports!

OMG is that snus that Froggy got on his desk? D: GO SWEDEN! Even the same brand as I use haha

This is for us germans. They tend to block all crap which uses any kind of music from any major publisher. However the Skandinavians usually help us by having good performance servers...

Thanks, does anyone know of higher quality links?

Thanks for the links mate!

Turtle Entertainment is the parent company of ESL. I'd assume they blocked the vids since the originals are up on their own page with high quality accessible only for subscribers of esl.tv.

You should ask them about it.
Maybe Blizzard was a special case or they already got the permission.

Bleh, so I have to download 130mb per game if I wanna watch this?

I love me some TLO! I'm so jealous of all who went, I'd love to see him play live!

Anyone knows what MadFrog is doing with his lips before each game?

Just saw the flv's. Really really good games. Sometimes I feel TLO is little too crazy ^_^ Madfrog is really solid, cant wait to see more of his games.
Oh man! The bo5 was really intense. I'm glad that other RTS players are starting to transfer over into SC2, hopefully it will help to keep the game up at the E-sports level
Love TLO with the TL shirt ^^
TLO representing , very fun games, I very much hoped that the special rush in the first game would work out. Ah well maybe some other time!
omg....TLO looks so stoned in every single shot lol :o.
Bro are you ok?
Those were some good games but it is surprising how unenthusiastic they are.
Did you guys think it was hilarious that no one responded to the questions "who's rooting for TLO?" and "Who is rooting for MaDFroG?". What? Nobody is here to cheer for either of them?
What... did they think they had tickets for?? The Carrottop comedy show??
It was in a Warcraft tournament afterall...
watching the first game and theres lag with them just setting across from each other? I hope blizard sees this.
Can't wait to watch these games, MadFrog was my idol when i played UD in wc3, and its good to see that i am still playing the same race as him in sc2.
is it just me or are the youtube videos blocked
I think MadFrog is playing the wrong race. The race most like the Undead would be the Protoss due to how the harvestor can start a building and walk away. Protoss also is very micro friendly with Warcraft 3 type spells such as 'blink' (and the high templar spells would fit right in with a Warcraft 3 pro). Protoss would also fit his more aggressive style.
TLO just seems genuinely happy he's playing, and has a constant smirk on his face. Good times.
Edit: Asked a stupid question, sorry.

I agree Protoss is a nice race to transition to from WC3 (as a WC3 player myself who never played SC1 ever). However Zerg does have a few undead style traits like creep, fast units, expendable cheap units etc. Also mutalisks feel just like gargoyles and Madfrog was an avid Garg user in WC3.
Personally I can't keep up with the Zerg macro style in SC2 it just feels like theres soooo much to focus on with Queens and larva spawning non-stop, but I think pro-gamers won't have much trouble adjusting to the heavy macro style of SC2. WC3 players who played Human (like DeMuslim) have an advantage in this area since Human was always the "macro-heavy" race of WC3.
Is it just me or are these incredibly "awkward" vod's. I must admit I don't follow too much competitive gaming, but I can understand why (for rts at least) it's never really taken off in the west if this is the level of excitement that's generated for it.
I remember back in the hayday of cs, watching some cpl videos where there were genuine rivalries, and people would obviously cheer, work the crowd up a bit... Is it just the mature and "good manner" nature of rts players that prevent that from happening?
I mean, where are the cool charismatic gamers that you want to watch and root for, or the dastardly evel heel rebels that dont give a f*** about anyones opinions. Is it just the pressure of the event that makes them clam up and show absolutely no emotion?
like if you watch wrestling without the "entertainment" it would be absolutely boring to watch, and I feel this is the way sc2 is going. The only people who will watch it are the hardcore types who care about the build, tactics and strategy...
It just makes me sad after watching the kotb tournament which made sc2 fun, and cool, something I could imagine taking some non-gamer friends too and saying, hey, check this out!
Oh gg's btw. Although I think tlo was kind of just mucking around on the 2nd day.
i love the sly smile he trys to hid after using the mothership! lol tlo is a fucking genius.

Just finished seeing the series! Great final game!.
Not sure how much experience MadFrog has in SC2, i dont recall seeing him anything during Beta, but he played very well against Terran.
I hope husky/HD get more of him in action, defiantly my new fav Zerg player :D.
To be honest, I am a bit shocked that madfrog is already playing that well (even though one can see that his macro is still way off), after playing SC2 only for such a short period of time.
I am sure, if he'd switched to SC:BW he'd would be more than hard-pressed to get higher than even B/B- though he used to be SC:BW pro back in the days.
For me, this shows that either the skill level of SC2 is still quite low or, worse, the skill cap is also quite low which would be terrible (hope not).
Madfrog is playing well but he has been playing since the first beta stage so I dunno what you consider a short period of time but that seems as long as anyone else to me. He has been out of SC:BW for a while and has a good RTS mind I'm sure good results will follow now that he signed with SK.

I somehow had the misconception that madfrog only started playing in beta phase 2 during july. I read it somewhere, but it was probably wrong. If he started at the same time as the others, he of course can have that level. Sorry.
I just want to say TLO you did an OUTSTANDING job!! My girlfriend and I were standing up screaming the whole match for day 2. Well done sir.
Lol TLO on game vod 5 day2, his head on the lower right screen makes me thing of the hellion portrait; bouncing with headset looking everywhere !
Watched only Day2, great showmatch overall.
From the matchs I've seen of madfrog, he needs to stop making long distance cheese expansions. That type of strat might work vs newbs, but top sc2 players will stop it.
Despite some ill advised moves, he seems to have a lot of potential.

Playing zerg in starcraft likely led him to play undead in warcraft, not the other way around.

I think the Ultralisk game was really lame. TLO totally showed us why he is an excellent player and why he is so special, with 6 base vs 3 base he still won the game. But yea I really did expect madfrog to win that one, and I was kicking myself, because I am in that situation often with ultras vs thor while being up an expansion
Madfrog did not take that game seriously, and should have played more aggressive.
Madfrog played bad in the last map because he was unconcentrated. TLO pushed the expansion from the side with ease.O f course it's easy to get that natural expansion, but Madfrog should probably have rushed instead of FE. Madfrog shouldn't have gone for roaches in that game. They clearly got owned by those thors Also why did madfrog not cancel his secret expansion when TLO scouted it right in the beginning Oo?
Madfrog sucks TLO pwns
oh and also: commentators sucked hard
I dont get why everyone is on Madfrogs bandwagon, TLO was clearly the better player in this match

tlo's a beast I'm surprised with how well madfrog played. The bo5 series was great and the last game was pretty epic.
