And when there stand "Rank 1237873673" this can be demotivating, but for real that is really bad, I hate it when it gets TOO noobfriendly. I could arrange myself with not having a clear ranking ingame, but if they even wanna close the outside rankings, it gets too far imho. This is just silly reasoning. The vast majority of casual players are not going to bother tracking their stats on sc2ranks.com. Much more likely, the site is just polling battle.net heavily due to frequent user update requests, and Blizzard or their hosting service banned it to see what was going on. Edit: Shadowed'd update above clarifies this well, thanks.

Blizzard did not intentionally ban SC2Ranks, it's more likely that somebody noticed a large amount of requests coming from the SC2R IP and it got banned. While the comments are appreciated, what Blizzard did is understandable and it's been fixed, updates are resuming. Glad to hear it! Huzzah!

One of my users is having trouble linking their map up from/to the SC2R database with SC2Mapster. The author of the map is DrakenStark... Link to his Mapster Project Link to his SC2Ranks page I think there may be a problem with the title of the map, which is why it isn't allowing it to be linked? It keeps saying "Published map does not exist in our database." Now, is that your database or the Mapster Database? Regardless, I still believe it's a naming issue. As far as I know, the linking part is done on your guys end, I checked in source and I don't see anything that pulls from mapster to associate things. Although I do have a mapster_slug column, but I have no idea what that is for, since it's apparently not used. The exact name I have for it is "(8)DS Zone Control", where are you seeing "Published map does not exist in our database"? I think it's on your end.

I wasn't able to queue any character and the site still have 0 european players. http://sc2ranks.com/ranks/eu/all It only came back an hour ago and basically everyone wants updates, it'll be slightly slower while I reset TW and KR. After they're reset I'll do a cache flush and you'll start seeing more EU people.

Nope, WoWArmory uses an automatic ban if you exceed more than 1 request/second for an extended period of time per region, then it 500s you, followed by a full IP ban. SC2Armory doesn't have that.

I made a post in bnet official forums and given that like everything on bnet forums it turned into "Agreed, i also want my wins back?" "why do you want your wins, you ar bronze" "your mom is bronze" "bronze is your mom" It got 5 pages of replies and at least 40% agreed and were pissed off
