I keep seeing references to the creep's ability to increases the Hp regeneration of Zerg units in addition to the movement speed buff, including on the main StarCraft 2 site, where it says:
"Zerg bases spread creep, a biological substance that nourishes and sustains the Swarm’s colonies. Creep heals zerg units and provides them with a movement speed bonus."
I've searched the forums, the internet, and even the SC2 editor looking for more information on this subject, but my query eludes me. Does anyone know if Zerg Hp regeneration is increased on creep in SC2, and if so by how much?

It regens zerg buildings.

Zerg Structures still regenerate HP when they are not on creep, even though they also lose it. If you want to see this for yourself, place a Spine Crawler on Overlord Creep and then remove the Overlord. The crawler will constantly lost HP, but periodically regain 1 HP. It's hard to notice.

Interesting, but it doesn't answer my question.

Zerg units always regenerate HP as well. To test this, shoot an Overlord that's flying around the map. You'll see his HP start returning. Now for the real answer to your question, just have an Ultralisk on creep and one off. Shoot them both. Which one reaches full HP first? Question answered.

True, this would answer my question, and I know about the passive regeneration regardless of creep, but I'm a perfectionist and I'm really looking for exact data.

I know in wc3 that undead units regened faster on creep but in sc2, i'm pretty sure it's a constant rate.

All such behaviors are handled through the editor, so just look up "Behaviors" in the editor and find the "On Creep" behavior which enhances the speed of ground units. If they do gain extra regen, it will be in there, with numbers and all.

Zerg units don't have increased hp regeneration. They removed it prior to beta.

I found the behavior "On Creep" in the editor, but I can't find anything relating to regeneration. However, I also cannot locate anything relating to the movement speed buff either, so I assume I'm not looking quite in the right place, a notion that frustrates me greatly.

Maybe so, but I'd still like some definitive evidence, or even better, maybe some numbers.

After doing some testing (catching a couple ultras in a couple of storms so that they had the same hp, then moving half of them onto creep) I have determined that Blizzard is a lier, as all the ultras had the same exact hp as they regenerated. >_< I apologize for wasting your time as well as my own. Good to know Blizzard gives out false information on official web pages, that's really encouraging.

I dont see how this is so much of a big deal as how you make it sound. Plus people would probably call out 'imba' or 'nerf zerg' infinite times if that mechanic existed in game.

lol@ first few posts, completely ignoring the OP's question.
Yes, Zerg units do NOT regenerate faster on creep. One unanswered question is whether or not different Zerg units regenerate at different rates, i.e. will a 1/2 HP Ultralisk recover to full HP faster or slower than a 1/2 HP Hydralisk?

Try reading the entire thread the next time you post. He did try the editor but found nothing then he tried it ingame and found the answer.
