I put down my shrine and he keeps randomly poking at my front but by now I've got a bunch of stalkers, a couple of sentries and three cannons. He's not getting in any time soon. I get out three DTs and direct them to his natural, his main and to look for his (presumable inevitable) third. He hasn't got detection...he hasn't got any extra tech...he hasn't even made a third. He's just massing whatever lings and roaches he can on two bases and throwing them at my front like a battering ram. I don't think he even scouted my base with an overlord to spot the shrine. I absolutely devastate his mineral lines and tear up the army he's camping outside the front of my base. This lets me take my natural back and a third whilst cannoning up everything. From there it was basically a foregone conclusion and after I cannoned his attempt at a third to death and walked into his base with a gateway/immortal/DT force it was over. Cue epic rage after the game in chat about how OP DTs are and how they need nerfing. There was a happy ending to it though. I just stayed calm and explained that although his opening was good he didn't do anything with his advantage and instead threw it away. And recommended he take a third and transition to something like mutas or infestors next time rather than trying to end it there and then. He was quite apologetic and went away fairly happy. | ||

This one time me(gold but maybe 20 games with my main I would go plat) 2 gold one silver(1v1) crush a 4ply team of diamond 1v1 players. They get Mad ^^^^^^ Saying stuff like gold noobs, I smile just thinking about it. We were masters in 4v4 . I thought a diamond 1v1 player could hold 6 lings from a 9 pool, I mean even a gold noob can do that ;-) Last time someone challenged me to a 1v1. I told him to show up at my door anytime ^^ | ||

I play standard games, but I still get cheesed quite a bit (around 1 in 12 games), mostly by protoss players. I've gotten used to it though, so I can sense it/deal with it a lot better than before. Now, I don't know if he was for real or just trying to grab some cheap wins but I was having none of it. He was coming at me with "It's just a game" and "a game is just a game in reality". My response of "A stupid bet is just stupid in reality" was met with a bunch of stuff like. "I didn't make the bet" "My friend made the bet and told my other friends that I had accepted it so I have to do it". It was reduced to "c'mon plz" etc. as my zealot and 2 stalkers dismantled his hatch, pool and 1 overlord. Anyone else experience this? Is this a lame play to get cheap points or was I just lucky to get the most pathetic person around? | ||
