I'm mid-high Diamond. ZvT on Shattered Temple. I'm 12 o'clock and he's 3 o'clock, close by air. I open up 16 Hatch 17 Pool, get 6 lings, and keep testing his front as I aggressive expand. Aggresive. Like, I was four base to two base by 12ish. Droning super hard. He tries this drop play, but i'm quick to react with speedlings, and nullify a good majority of the drops. He's not a bad player - he gets one or two Vikings to fly around and clear my overlord spread so he can try to drop more effectively. I just had quick reactions with my lings. I continue to expand and tech to six base, to his 3(?) and decide I wanted to try a new strategy, so I get massive amounts of lings and about 10 Infestors, and do primarily Ling/Bling/Brofestor Bro Bro. It's pretty effective - I cleared his army a few times, and since I had superior economy, I could almost instantly remax. Standard Zerg. After the third of fourth time I destory his main army, he says "This is fuckin' lame. You are just 1Aing." I play Zerg. I know there is racism due to people think they are the most gimped race and that other races are overpowered, but to say that I 1A as Zerg with Ling/Bling/Inferstor? Give me a break. But, regardless, I ask him what he means. He says I am just 1Aing all the time. I tell him I have Infestor's. You can't even 1A Infestor's. He responds by saying that I wasn't even using my Infestor's. So I suicide all my Infestor's into his army, morph all of my cracklings into Banelings, and THEN 1A his army. You ever take a really satisfying swig of an ice cold beer, mid summer, while sitting in the sun? And you just feel you're whole body gyrate because of how fresh and cool the beer is? Yeah. I had that exact same feeling after I did that. | ||
