I (Zerg) play a Terran on Scrap Station. If I recall it correctly I almost won with a fast T1 push. Then he lifts up his buildings and flies away to the Island Expansion. I'm getting a bit annoyed and while teching to mutas I ask him "why?" he doesn't respond. My mutas came out, I still hadnt expanded more than once and at the time i got them he already had a lot of turret all over that little Island. Then I started to work with drops didn't work either. Finally he hides Barracks at the highground beside the natural and just pushed me with a lot of marines and marauders and I lost. Then he writes: "Why I do this? Because I don't lose to noobs like you" and I quit It was the only time I was remotely bm in a game and I think I learned my lesson that day :-D Also I raged quite hard and was slamming my mouse on the Table.

Do you feel the need to tell you opponents that they did something wrong and that you are better? Um.. no, I was legitimately interested in his mindset since his gas steal was pre-meditated. Apparently you can't message people after they lose or else that's BM. So much for learning things about the game. People who play these games must be emotional wrecks.

Yeah, that was because he was BM to me. Both of us could have learned something but he was BM because apparently when you lose it justifies being an asshole. I seriously can't believe people are defending that guy and blaming me. LOL

LOL I see your point now, but from reading that log you really do come off as rude. You might want to reevaluate your phrasing.

I lost in a tournament and disconnected my mouse and keyboard to storm leave and realized I was still logged on to my account. I had to plug everything back in to log off.

It doesn't have to, but it can be interpreted like that. I would just suggest you being more polite and clear right from the start when messaging an opponent like this. Something in the lines with "Hi. I just wanted ask you regarding your response in the match we just played. Is there any particular reason for your reaction (since it's not that common)?" That might be an exaggeration, but that's how I look at it.

Kalous was his name i think zvz he was 2200ish. He 8 or 9 pools with 6 ling into my base on metapolis; i proceed to calmly defend it with a few lings and my drones. I proceed to go roach, while hiding my evo from his OL he tries to scout sees my 2 roachs and 6 lings at the ramp; however i had 12 roaches stashed behind; get +1 atk move out; while I throw down another hatch. He has 10 lings and 2 banelings at his primary base he just took a natural at a dif expo; i obviously kill him and he messages me after saying. "Its sad that on NA server no one ever does a macro game.. bla bla bla" then I proceed to tell him he 8 pooled me to try to finish it, and that I had my natural up as the game ended. He says it was an all-in and bla bla bla.

Yes, at the end of that little exchange he was obviously far more BM than you were, and it was pretty uncalled for - but you did come across as insulting with your comments. If you hadn't've called him a qq'er when he told you not to message him, none of the end BM would have happened. EDIT: Actually I reread it, his BM at the end was way unnecessary. So yeah ... I still think you shouldn't have called him a qq'er, but he was way out of line by replying that way to your "well i'm not trying to be mean, just curious."

That might be an exaggeration, but that's how I look at it. How is "why steal my gas and not prepare for a 4 gate" in any way aggressive? There are no swear words, no insults, no implications of any kind. It is, literally, a question about strategy. I have no idea how one can infer anything else from it. I was thinking he'd have some reason for it, because you don't just go 3-gate forge with a gas-steal randomly, especially at the 2200 level in diamond.

As I said, after reading your explanation, I understand what you meant. Either way, obviously you don't see that as aggressive, and that's all fine. But out of context it might for some people, especially if it's aimed towards someone who you just beat in a match, look like you're rubbing his loss in his face. But I don't know man, take my critizism as you please. This was just my feelings about your phrasing. If you don't agree, then don't. Peace.

It's not about winning or losing for me. I can't understand why people take the ladder so seriously, especially when it's all going to be erased soon anyway. "theres no reason to msg him after the game" Yes there is. As I mentioned, I wanted to understand what he was going for, as it was something I hadn't seen before. If it seemed interesting and made sense, it might have been something I would have adopted into my own arsenal. There's a huge social aspect to this game that is unfortunately being shut down due to A) Blizzard's lack of inclusion of chat channels for the last six months and B) the cultural "rules" regarding BM. Why shouldn't someone be "allowed" to message someone after a game, win or lose? Makes no sense.
