Razer is a joke. The only thing I ever got from them that was good was the Razer Naga.
Does anyone even use their mousepads? Are they any good? I'm in the market for a good mouse pad.

Like i was going to buy this because i need a new keyboard and headset but I dont like the "STARCRAFT II" gimmicky looking stuff aswell as the APM BASE ALERT stuff is kinda n00bing "I WANNA BE GOOD SO IMMA BUY THIS" Instead ill just like the Steelseries 7G keyboard, Razer or steelseries mousebad and Astro/Steelseries headset..Razer sphex, lycosa and krait/salmosa atm.

I got the Razer Goliathus for like $7 on sale, the medium sized one.
It's amazing, a great, soft surface and HUGE. I honestly can't play on my old mouse pads any more. If I see a sale again I'm gonna buy like 3.
Edit: Also, the Razer deathadder is the best mouse ever made hands down. The only people who can disagree are lefties or those who like big fat logitech pieces of crap, which is understandable.

Keyboard and headset are 130$ Mouse is 80$
Pretty decent price for the mouse; I got a Lachesis for the same price and with worse specs. Headset might be good, keyboard is a waste though.
They all look really good though, but their design doesn't really fit with SC2.

^i don´t know, FPS players play on very low sens, and a high dpi mouse gives you more precise moves on low sens...

APM tech may be funny, but what's even better is the number of wannabe nerds who will buy the keyboard for the flashy lights without even knowing what APM means.

Shut your face.
You even ever tried the Naga? Its a freaking beast, not only for MMOs, but I make great use of it playing SC2, micro has never been so easy to control

I am using old-school microsoft products. I feel like the mouse might not be a bad deal (even though it is expensive). My keyboard's keys are so loud that I would like to get a new one.
Excluding the $130 SC2 one, do any of you have any particular recommendations for a gaming keyboard? I have heard Logitech makes good gaming boards.

lolol Pretty much this. Wasn't fakesteve calling the steelseries mouse cheating a while back..? + Show Spoiler + What is APM? APM stands for Action per Minute. It is a measure of how many clicks and key presses a gamer can do per minute with his mouse and keyboard.
Why is APM important? APM is important because it measures your speed with which you're able to give out new commands. It is therefore a good indicator of the control over your game you have in terms of both micro and macromanagement.
What would be a standard APM? For beginners an APM of around 40-60 is not uncommon. More experienced players will have between 100-150. Professional players have around 300 APM with some exceptions even exceeding that.
What is effective APM? Effective APM or eAPM is a more accurate way of measuring APM, as it only counts those clicks/key presses that actually issue a command as opposed to standard APM, which counts every single click and key press.
