Hey guys, i've been having this problem for a while now

Every 15-25 minutes or so of gameitme, my SC2 will keep jumping to desktop. and when i alt tab back in tot he game it takes around 5-10 seconds to return to game screen. This is seriosuly impairing my game and im wondering what's going on?

I am sure im not pressing the windows key or alt tab by it self.. it just jumps to desktop by itself

Not a real fix, but if you play in full windowed mode, you can switch between game and desktop much quicker.

On a dell if you hit numlock or capslock it minimizes the game. I think this is a known bug.

maybe try messing with the game options, disable windows key or something

I wouldn't be sure its a problem with your game, which means tons of things could be going on.

I'm having the same problem too, could it be cause of the Windows Authenticator? :|

I experienced a similar problem before, it had to do with having Firefox and SC2 up at the same time.
If you're running other programs in the background, you might want to check that out.

I would guess it's some program you have running in the background that's causing it. If you're not aware of anything else open when you're playing, try running msconfig(assuming you're running windows) and deselect "load startup items" under selective startup. If that fixes your problem, it's one of your background processes. This is for windows XP mind, but it should be fairly similar in vista and win7,

I've had exactly the same problem today, all of a sudden.

What fixed it for me was switchen to Windowed fullscreen, not a real "fix" i guess, but a good workaround.

Sometimes your virus blocker will have random update notifications (like mine) that usually alt tabs me out. just disable those. The Firefox problem mentioned above is also likely. I know a number of kids who've had the issue there.

If it started after a patch or something, sounds like an interaction between sc2 and another program or windows feature.

I've been having the same issue, but I don't have to alt tab back in.

Aside from the insane amount of lag AND latency issues after patch 13 on US servers....I randomly get alt tabbed to a black screen then right back to SC2 a few seconds later. I only get this while playing sc2 since patch 13.

Been in beta since start.

For me it would jump back like every 5-10 seconds sometimes. When I turned off Firefox though it didn't jump back to desktop anymore. I have like 20 tabs open at a time, so I'm guessing one of the pages I have open was doing something to get the attention of the computer?

A friend of mine gaming on my computer always had this problem. Took a while to realize he was pressing his thumb down on my mouse (Logitech MX1100) and that button was assigned to alt-tab, I just never moved my thumb that way. Randomest things...

It happens when something pops up under SC2; eg. If you have MSN running and someone signs in (assuming youre not set to busy), that pop up will cause SC2 to minimize
