times have been hard for newbies in the starcraft scene, especially newbies to the big bad teamliquid site where we ban people for no good reason, at all! and the contests, oh god the contests are impossible and so cruel!
the intrigue Beta Key Scholarship (lol) seeks to reward new posters with lots of potential who have made quality posts to the best of their ability, helping them actualize and become successful nerds and nerdettes. these are people that already try their best, instead of saying 'plz give me a key, i'll contribute i promise!' like everyone else.
i will be giving these out as i see deserving candidates - you don't need to come up with crazy stuff, even consistently good and thoughtful posting is enough! nominations welcome for other people, please include links. if you are shameless enough to nominate yourself despite my explicit bolded instructions, you are probably going to be banned.

this next guy has been with us for a bit, but hasn't been active regularly until recently, with the starcraft 2 beta out. since then he's had quality posts everywhere, but most noticeably in tech threads helping out other people. you can see our hero in action here, here, here, and/or here if you actually care. lately he's been running bad on luck in beta key drawings and is either too slow or too stupid to win any contests. no worries! have fun buddy!

overall sweet poster. maintains the upgrade analysis data thread, the sc2 practice partner thread, and organizes get-togethers for the local TL community. honestly i didn't think i'd find such easy winners when i started doing this LOL. enjoy good sir!

i know even 'contests' like this one seem out of reach, due to our first three winners being just hilariously awesome. today's winners should be much easier for many of you to relate to: they don't have a single significant thread for me to link, but have had exemplary posting overall despite failing to win keys over and over. being able to maintain class and good humor after discouraging results is really admirable. have fun guys.

what a good fucking poster, damn. been around for a long time (knows his stuff about the old, old old school brood war scene), only very recently started posting and i'm really glad he did. can you believe he hasn't made a single post about not having a key? this just makes me look harder, there is no way guys like this should be left behind haha

I think the TL mods are doing great job of finding interesting ways of rewarding different people for different reasons in the community and I really really like that.
