Time should not play a factor in having the best rank. You got this the wrong way around: If your terrible rested Points won't help you. If your good and can't play for a Week rested points will help you to catch up.

This gives a skilled new player a BETTER chance to gain points, than the player with the older account (granted that he has played any game already). To me this system makes a lot of sense! Like this players who start in the middle of a season with an account have a better chance to still make it to the top (as well as players who don't play regularly). I could imagine that rested points will be reset whenever a new season starts. Does anybody know if rested points deplete when you actually lose a game? This would only make sense to me.

So this means that my +24-32 points streak is bound to end after a while? That's sad... But it really does seem like a decent implementation.

Rested points can shoot a good player up the ladder to where he would be at if he was playing the whole time, assuming he took some time off in a season. Therefore, players don't have to be grinding rank constantly, or from the beginning of the season to even have a chance. This benefits players that can play at the top and get win after win. If your not winning, your rested points are being wasted. You gain rested points for a win, then lose a few games, then gain rested points for a win, then lose some games. You end up wasting away all those rested points to losses, and it won't put you up the ladder very far. But if you keep winning (because your good) you get ranked up higher (because your good). And it won't take you as long. So you can take a month off of the ladder after a season reset, come back, and jump up to top 8 without grinding. And grinding for a rank you know you should be at is more like WoW than the rested points comparison by CharlieMurphy.
