This is unbelievable... I registered my key years ago and now I have to wait behind people who are randomly getting chosen? Bullshit..

its damn bullshit if not everyone with a blizzcon key gets invited with the wirst wave. hopefully everyone gets his e-mail in the next few hours.

I realize that everyone is going insane right now but for ANYONE WHO HAS BETA:
Can you post your system/internet specs and how its running? I feel this is really important and cool information. Are there any graphical things you can customize like low/mid/high? How does the game run on your system?

Do we even know it was random yet? Right now there are only 400 people on battle.net, which to me indicates only special invitees so far? Or tons of people still downloading.

They are definately random, I know a person with like 20 Starcraft games that just got SC2 beta so can't get anymore random than that.

Yeahhh, It's kind of strange. I don't quite understand how opt-ins were given it earlier than those with keys, haha.
|
Maybe they just brought some opt in's online so that they could test some stuff out before hitting the servers with the giant pile of rabid blizzcon keyholders.

This is obviously what they're doing.
There are only ~400 players on B.net at the moment; even if they were ALL Blizzcon attendees, that would be only 1/50 of everyone with a key.

Same boat as you guys.....serenity now... SERENITY NOW!!!!

How many times have you guys checked your email in the last hour? I'm up to about 20 now.
|
oh my god, does anyone know the average time it takes to process however many emails need to be processed?
|
Haha I wish gmail had a counter for how many times I've checked it today... probably 500+
I don't know what's involved in 'processing' the emails for Blizzard, so stats from previous betas would probably be the most help. Generating keys/emails from a database of registered users should take a few minutes MAX for 100s of thousands of key/address/text pairs.. Then I guess they are sent after that, and I can send well over 10 emails a second from my own PC which would only take me 20 minutes to send over 10k emails and surely a business could do it much faster. But alas it's been hours and no one has reported receiving one yet, so it appears I don't know what I'm talking about :/

I have my email open in a tab that I switch to every few minutes and I click "Inbox" several times to refresh it every time. So 100+?
