when you started doing the daily you commentated super high level broodwar games and it was interesting because the audience would inevitably learn something, with the side bonus that you have a likable persona. (it was not interesting because you forced low level games to be funny) on a related note, people who don't know how to "steal a build" don't need to be told how, because they are unable even to steal a build. i know you're strapped for time, but really? you could think of no more pertinent theme. it's understandable that you're strapped for time lately, but i thought "doing starcraft fulltime" would mean that you would actually play the game and make good dailies.

I'm not saying it doesn't suck for us hardcore people, as we've had this incredible resource in Sean for so long. You just have to understand that Day[9] might not be the guy to get high level 'super ultra mega gosu' learning from anymore because he is intentionally making it that way to appeal to a broader audience. It doesn't make the dailies suck, it makes them 'not for me'. If that means you stop watching then that's the way it's going to be.

Ill always be a fan and thankful for what ive learn, for free mind you; and I hope one day the content will swing back to the tedious stuff where I can learn and become a better gamer!

Have you not considered that the reason your analysis isn't that high level is because SC2 is around a year old and even the pros are discovering new methods and timings every single week and especially after every single patch? The game simply has not had the time to stabilise mechanically and with less laborious mechanics than BW, allows the better gamers to spend a lot more time looking for actual timings, instead of trying to spam their keys fast enough to keep up with robotic macro whores. There are literally hundreds of streams and hundreds of threads and thousand of replays which, if you're as high level a gamer as you state you are, you should be able to trawl through and analyse without Day9's help. By comparison, crappy nubs like me get two shows a week to show off our terrible play. It's not really a big ask, is it. It is very reassuring to me as a silver leaguer to get to watch Funday Monday where I can laugh with my fellow nubs and assure myself that I'm not alone in losing to 4 gate pushes that are more like a staggered sequential 1 gate. Still, I reckon he should definitely do some high level dailies if he's up to it. Though I'm not actually good enough to make use of them, it's still amazing to learn how intricate timings can be.

on a related note, people who don't know how to "steal a build" don't need to be told how, because they are unable even to steal a build. You mean like how an earlier daily (not the current series) focused on a bronze player who using day 9's method had that build down to a level that was way above bronze, perhaps a masters opener? It is attitudes like this that can hurt a community. It's the same attitude that league and rank are everything. Because somebody is gold they can't comment on a platinum match, even if they know the theory and have been watching high level leagues and tournaments for years. Get off the high horse people. Day 9 puts a lot of time and effort into the daily and it shows. If you've moved past what you think you can learn then move on. Hire a coach, Become pro, or host your own show where you can tailor your show to what you want. If you can't take anything away from the current daily's, you're just not trying.

Of course, like all Funday Mondays it needs the icing on the cake; so as an additional rule, every time your Raven uses an ability you must type to your opponent; "Nevermore."

Holy imba-whine Batman! Please tell me why you felt the need to jam in a bucketload of tears into that post instead of just saying "I hope he does some Zerg-dailys, havent seen that many in a while!".
