I know white-ra has some on his web site were he does a quick (not fast) expand, like after his 1st immortal. It's quite clear that expanding after 1G when the terran is on 3Rax will make you lose, Day9 said it. But the purpose is to show that the goal is to make expand the earliest you can and not die. This is strong play. How and when exactly you make these is left to people to find. See it like this : You have the choice between - expanding late, having a nice army that will destroy his 1Base push, it won't leave you enough units to actually win right there though - expanding far ealier, have an army just fine to hold his, you will end his push barely with like 2 units. But now you have 2 mining base. The second one will be in a better position for the rest of the game. Now the whole difficulty is to find what the Terran is doing, make the correct response to not die in the upcoming push and find the cute time window for the expansion. This is the hard part but this will certainly be how the game will evolve. Now I strongly admit that M&M pushs are really hard to deal with only gate units, It's fine without stim but with stim you have to make really strong moves. | ||
