I have had pneumothorax and the stuff I felt included: shortness of breath, difficulty & pain breathing (and laughing), and fatigue, among other things. If it is indeed hurting and it's not an actual stitch, Day9 should get it checked out. My right lung nearly collapsed on itself because of the ignorance of some doctors -_-" But when my left lung collapsed the next year, I knew what was up and went to the ER. tl;dr: If it's not an actual stitch, and it's spontaneously hurting, get it checked out!
Indeed mr Plott! We want to have you alive, we need to have you alive for without casts our days have little meaning!

On nights when he records the daily in one complete burst, it goes up almost instantly. For ones that require the stream to restart, it's possible that it requires some editing to remove certain pieces and connect two chunks, so it may not be up til a little later. All speculation, but just keep checking Blip, it'll be there when it gets there.

My morning has been ruined...RUINED...by the upload delay. Haha...so yea, I'm reading about all the lag from last night -- was the stream harmed at all? I'm just fearful of another #129.

Hey Day9, I know you must get a million PMs a day, I sent you one yesterday. Would you rather I post questions here instead?

He answers the pm's as fast as he can, as far as i know!

i would imagine he do them in waves so he doesnt have to reply every day

Does Day9 actually answer to people who PM him? :o Seems kinda weird as I would guess he gets spammed everyday

Day, since this is Protoss week, I thought I'd ask you if you've seen any creative uses of the warp prism? With the warp-in mechanic, even an empty warp prism carries with it the threat of a production cycle of harrassment units, forcing the player to respond by moving troops to deal with the 200 mineral warp prism. Combine this with the sentry's ability to restrict movement, and the fact that the warp prism's threat scales with the number of warp gates as the game progresses, and I'd think there's potential for very potent, creative uses of warp prisms. I haven't seen a lot of warp prisms in high level games yet, but given that it's such a cheap investment for such a powerful strategic threat, I have to think they'll be a big part of the game going forward.

He does! That's why he is loved.

Day, it would be nice to see commentary and analysis on a pro 2v2 match. It seems like every time you do a 2v2 it's just for kicks and it's your friends or other non diamond players. It's still fun to watch but it leaves a lot to be desired from the team strategy point of view.

Haha, not only am I experiencing beta withdrawal now, I also lack my daily dose of Day[9]. I actually took the time and listened to the old SC1 podcasts of the Hottest Progamer instead (by the way, check that out, everyone, it's good stuff). As for the pneumothorax thing... looked it up on wiki and it doesn't seem like it's lethat. However, it's best to be safe than experience chest pains and, in some cases, cardiac arrest, so I agree that Day9 should check that out.

Does anyone else notice the immense lack of protoss centric dailies? Even when there is one, like #129 it ends up having uploading problems and never gets uploaded. Then finally, protoss week comes around and there are upload delays, or maybe it too will join its #129 brother and never be uploaded!
With this information I could only conclude that day9 is trying to increase player's skills in the other two races while leaving protoss out so that when beta phase 2 starts protoss have decreased win percentages causing unnecessary buffs to the race at which point day9 will switch from random to his true favorite race, protoss, and rule the world.
Am I crazy here or does this seem like the only logical explanation?

You do know it is white ra week this week? Well 3 of the dailies are white ra's pvt pvp and pvz. He also had one of Kiwikakki vs QXZ last week as well.

Sure WhiteRa is this week, but unless they're new games that we haven't seen before, I think protoss players are going to remain disappointed.
I've been waiting for quite a while to get a solid about of "holy crap look at this hero hold protoss" doing drops everywhere and doing strange tactics, like in almost all of BratOK's games. As soon as I heard WhiteRa announced as the protoss, I had a lot of doubts going through my head.
All the protoss players have already scanned the internet furiously for whitera replays, so I hope the replays that Day has are something more exciting than 10-gate wall in into huge army mass!

I think your sarcasm detector is slightly off. Also, he clearly mentions last night's cast. But, I agree, I think when Day[9] said he wanted to be the Ambassador of esports he was just espousing his Palpatine dreams of glory and domination. Down the road he'll be the Emperor of esports and crush noncompetitive gaming from atop his Death Star...craft.

It's interesting...I've been really bored today and I decided to go back and look at some of the early SC2 Dailies that I missed (in the 70's, from when Day9 just got Beta). Obviously there have been plenty of balance changes since then, but more importantly, the thought-process Day9 had about all the races is ridiculously hilarious (in a bad way, lol). So, on one hand, it's crazy to think of how far the game has come in just a few months...but on the otherhand, it's a cold reality for how bad EVERYONE still is right now. What we think of as pro-game play right now is going to be laughably bad in six months probably. Just some food for thought.

I agree that WhiteRa maybe isn't the most innovative protoss out there but he is very solid with his plays so anyone can gain something with these dailies. I can't wait to see the rest of them
I could suggest that Day9 should ask Artosis where he can find those korean protoss matches where they are using archons succesfully. Artosis mentions them in the latest state of the game podcast. That would be sweet.

Oh I definitely think WhiteRa is solid - he's a real real good player.
But I've just seen so much solid play, I want something wacky to bring some life into Protoss!

Can i request that for Day9Daily #150 you actually show us the BGH game that you talked about in the end of Day9Daily #50.
It sounded EPIC!
