I have completed this achievement at least 5 times and it never awards it to me no matter what I do. It says that Zeratul must survive without ever taking life damage on hard difficulty. I have verified by selecting him just before the end and by the score screen at the end that he doesn't take any damage. I always play on Hard difficulty as well, so I don't know why it won't give it to me.

Has anyone else had this problem or something like it?

at the end of the game it will give u the tab of your stats and it will say Damage Taken to Zeratul's life or some shit and if that is 0 you will get the acheivement

he regains his hp at various points in the mission; just because you end on full doesnt mean he didnt get hurt

well, I guess that makes sense Cyber_Cheese ... but in the stats at the end it says he took 0 damage. I'll have to play through it again from the beginning just to make sure I guess

Yea, every time you hit a fragment of the prophecy, your units get healed to full health. Try it again and pay very close attention to his health. Good luck.

The first time I played through, Zeratul dropped down to exactly 0 shields at one point without visibly losing any HP (during the trench right after the banelings with the burrowed ambushes because I got him stuck between my stalkers and the zerg units). Apparently that prevented me from getting the achievement - my guess is either fractional damage or the achievement checks if you ever dropped to 0 shields.

It's easy enough though if you just do it carefully. If you're that paranoid, just save after every battle.

just hold zeratul back at the baneling part, don't bring him anywhere close to those mofos and just use your stalkers to take care of business. With decent kiting/blink micro you can do it without getting hit.

The Banelings are easy to deal with if you're patient. Before going up the ramp to the Baneling section, group all your Stalkers a good distance away from the area (about 10 or so Stalker-lengths away from the ramp), and make them Hold Position, so your Stalkers won't engage the Zerg. Send Zeratul up the ramp alone, and take out the Creep Tumors to slow the Banelings down and make them easier to manage. Now kill 2 or 3 Banelings. Get Zeratul away from the Banelings and down the ramp when his shields are too low (low enough so that another explosion will cause life damage), and Hold Position so he doesn't auto-engage the Banelings and accidentally take life damage. Wait until his shields recharge, and send him back up the ramp. Kill 2 or 3 more Banelings, retreat, and continue this cycle until you can manage the rest of them with your Stalkers. You can also just take them all out with Zeratul if you're not comfortable with Stalker Blink micro, or if you just like seeing a big kill count for the Templar hero. =)

The Banelings will move from the center ledge to their original starting point ad infinitum, because they won't target the distant Stalkers, and Zeratul is invisible so long as he stays away from the Spore Crawler.

The easiest way I found of dealing with the baneling section, even on Hard mode, was to just run the stalkers into that little outcropping that overlooks the banelings' attack path, have them hold position there, let them shoot at the banelings, and blink across the chasm (towards the creep) when the banelings get too close. It basically gives you an infinite number of free shots as long as you keep abusing the blink across that gap.

With the banelings, there is one narrow part of the path they approach on (the top right corner), you want to void prism one of the lead banelings there which will clog up all the others behind it. This gives you tons of time to take them out.

To do that, put the stalkers on that center outcrop so they can hit the banelings behind the blocked one and blink to the left when the banelings get close. Bring zeratul up the right side and when the banelings start coming through there, void prism the 2nd or 3rd one. If you do the first, it is likely to get killed quickly and your void prism wall will be useless. Once you have void prismed, move zeratul up with your stalkers and blink everyone to the left when the banelings finally get close.

By the time the banelings get close, there will only be 2 or 3 and you just have to blink once to the left to avoid any damage. Sometimes not all your stalkers blink over though, so you may have to reload a few times.
