Keep all the expos down and your teammates will steamroll them. Did you do 1v4 on insane rally? I struggled a lot with it until I changed to Very hard which the achievement was for. On Insane they would gather a really scary force the other 2 to take me out. I did the 3v3 one yeterday also and I'm not the best player but still managed to cannon rush the P and after that I just supported while tthe AI finished the Z and T and got plenty of achievements in that 15 minute space. Going to try the 4v4 later tonight but I guess it's just a matetr of okey played cheese.

Choose the map Megaton. Send a worker to the other team's fortress. Then, in the middle of the fortress, build a pylon or a supply depot. All the four AI's will go completely bonkers and send almost all their workers to attack your pylon or supply depot. Then you cancel it. Their workers run back. Then you build another one and the AI will go bonkers again. Then you keep making their workers run back and forth until they slowly and steadily get a marine, zealot or roach that will kill off your worker. Of course, by then, your allies have gathered somewhat of a formidable force and will steamroll your enemies without your help. It won't work too well if you're zerg, though. It could, but you'd have to build a hatchery instead, which is more of a hassle. I did zerg by teching to mutas and harassing the AI's again, letting my allies do the actual killing. And ironically, it seems to work better against Insane AI's than against Very Hard...

Ask for 100 at a time, they'll fork over pretty much infinite amounts since they roach like crazy. Just harass mineral lines back and forth from each base, and your allies will roll them with ease.

Please note I'm not a good player, you will see typical leaks of the lower leagues, as well as somewhat passive play. Also, it most probably doesn't work every time you try. In this game, I had a bit of luck because my two AI allies seemed to be successful in rushing one of the opponents. They almost killed his nexus before I joined the party. The 4v4 can be cannon-rushed in PvP on Megaton but doesn't work so great with PvT. As for 4v4 TvT, my computer is too weak to handle that. ![]() I'd be grateful for some hints on how to do XvP, XvZ, TvX, ZvX. Not the necessarily in one go, as it's probably more economical to do it the easiest way for each, instead of retrying over and over to do it in a single attempt. OT: Getting the Romp achievements is sooo tedious. ![]() Edit: PvAnything can be done by pylon "harass", a technique I found in Google from a gentleman called Pallytime. You basically build pylons in some spot between enemy bases on Megaton and cancel them, delaying the enemy as workers come to destroy the thing. To assist your allies, you either start building a normal base at some point or you start laying down cannons in useful spots, e.g. by placing pylons where your allies are attacking. Then cannons. All three races of enemies can be defeated this way, I guess, though Protoss enemies can be cannon-rushed the regular way. Now I need to find a way to do the Zerg and Terran Kin vs AI, which is gonna be hard, I suppose, but I can do it vs any mix, which could make it easier. And it's bugged, you aren't getting lower difficulties of the 4 vs AI Kin achievements for completing insane. I suppose very hard can still be tiresome and hard might not always be a cakewalk, as your allies must be the same difficulty AI as the enemy, of course. Let's see.

T and Z games got me down to like 1 fps at some points too. ![]() Terran, which is my race, was even harder. I couldn't pull off TvP, didn't want mirror... finally succeeded vs all random enemies when I could go banshees. By the way, during some of the failed attempts, I managed to take one enemy away or almost completely away during harass or early in game and still lose in the end. ;P Anyway, this was sick. I think human enemies in ladder aren't going to make much impression on me after all this Insane AI all around the map. Now only have to finish off the Romp. I'm halfway there with Protoss v. Insane, will probably cannon rush it to the end (since I can't bunker rush or sixpool Insane AI successfully) and then just solo the random hundred vs. Medium while listening to the music or talking on Skype. ...And the Hard 4v4 achievements, thanks to the bug. But Hard should be piece of cake after all this (easy cannon rush, comfortable macro zerg and doable banshees, I guess). And I don't care for normal game (without cheese) because of the way allies operate. On February 04 2011 04:29 Osmeus wrote: Simply get all you team mates to cannon rush the AI. But one of the hardest problems for it is that some player go really far from their mineral like. Try to be as close as possible to the mineral line and the A.I's base. If you yo do it from far away, it may take more than 10-15 minutes. If you do it my way you will finish it around 5-7 minutes. You must be talking about the Cooperative achievements. There's no way to get your AI allies to cannon rush the other AI. Now that would be a sight to behold. I suppose for Co-op, you can go cannon rush for PvP, sixpool for ZvT (everybody strikes his own terran separately but at the exact same time unless terrans gang up), marines/hellions/late thors for TvZ (or just one dood rides around with blue flame hellions killing off drones on all AI enemies while the rest are fighting the AI armies) and done. Coop may be a pain in terms of Romp, if you go with random people...

As Protoss turtle until robo tech and a warp prism then take the islands. Make doublerows of cannons or turrets on the side of the island facing the rest of the map, and tech to BCs or carriers respectively. If you want to do it without this, just turtle at your base with cannons. AI is remarkably stupid when it comes to cannons and also when trying to drop over the top of cannons...they'll only send in one or two dropships at a time.
