Simply put, what is a simple easy way to get this achievement?

Just rush one guy (7pool, 10 Cannonrush) or two and let the AI fix the rest. It`s really easy. If you take out one, and you aid your allies a tiny bit you should win it. I recommend cannons, because the AI will try to attack the cannons after youve destroyed the base so you get to deal alot of damage.

I did it in mirror matches, where I spine crawler rushed one zerg and took over his base, proxy 2 rax bunker rushed or double cannon rushed on the map where you are two and two.

toss = cannon rush (easiest way vs 4 terran)

zerg u wanna do ZvZ and kill 1 early on

terran i did a straight banshee tech in 4v4 and it was rather easy, 3v3 u can try to kill1 early but i again did the banshee rush and it was rather easy.

Protoss you can cannon rush Megaton and win 1v4, so having 3 allies is redundant. Zerg/Terran you fast tech to mutalisks or banshees. Keep all the expos down and your teammates will steamroll them.

Just tech hardcore to broodlords and corruptor.
"Ask" your teammates to give you minerals and gas.
You´ll get so much from them.
(Ask 10x 100/100 instead of 1x 1000/1000 for example)

Autowin.

Did you do 1v4 on insane rally? I struggled a lot with it until I changed to Very hard which the achievement was for. On Insane they would gather a really scary force the other 2 to take me out.

I did the 3v3 one yeterday also and I'm not the best player but still managed to cannon rush the P and after that I just supported while tthe AI finished the Z and T and got plenty of achievements in that 15 minute space.

Going to try the 4v4 later tonight but I guess it's just a matetr of okey played cheese.

I was able to cannon 4 very hard AI, but did not try 4 insane. For 4v4, i'd cannon rush 1-2 and stay alive for the win. 4P > 4T was easy, 4T > 4Z was easy, 4Z > 4P was hard so I played 4Z > 4Z and 4P > 4P to get all the achievements.

I was trying to use spine crawlers on an opponent ai and then go for broodlords in ZvZ. However, with the recent patch, the computer is much more aggressive it seems and they attack my spine crawlers before they finished. I tried to distract them a bit by sending in some zerglings to help my crawlers finish building, but I can't seem to make it work. Anyone try this with the new patch? What did you get to work?

I nydused over to islands on lava flow as zerg and massed queens zerglings banelings and ultras. Heal your ultras and fight on creep. It takes a while to work through the roaches but if you pull down the expansions of the other zerg your allies will work through their army. You can build some hydras if you have to thin out the air. I mostly used 5-6 quwens a few dozen ultras and continuously sent speedlingsmto the army.

3v3 terran is proving to be hard formme my allies keep dying.

3v3 terran worked with banshees for me. Once I had 6 or 8, I used them in 2 groups to attack different mineral lines. This makes the enemy run back to their base if they have their units attacking your base or an allies.

I've figured out a way to do it completely without any skill involved and by abusing the new Insane AI mechanics:

Choose the map Megaton. Send a worker to the other team's fortress. Then, in the middle of the fortress, build a pylon or a supply depot. All the four AI's will go completely bonkers and send almost all their workers to attack your pylon or supply depot. Then you cancel it. Their workers run back. Then you build another one and the AI will go bonkers again. Then you keep making their workers run back and forth until they slowly and steadily get a marine, zealot or roach that will kill off your worker. Of course, by then, your allies have gathered somewhat of a formidable force and will steamroll your enemies without your help.

It won't work too well if you're zerg, though. It could, but you'd have to build a hatchery instead, which is more of a hassle. I did zerg by teching to mutas and harassing the AI's again, letting my allies do the actual killing.

And ironically, it seems to work better against Insane AI's than against Very Hard...

ZZZZvZZZZ Just tech straight to muta, ask your AI partners for gas. Ask for 100 at a time, they'll fork over pretty much infinite amounts since they roach like crazy. Just harass mineral lines back and forth from each base, and your allies will roll them with ease.

So, should i continue doing the insane matches, in order that when they fix this, it will sync with the rest of the difficulty settings? or will I have to do them all over again?

You can get your 3v3 insane achievements using my burning tide technique. Look at my post "Get every single outmatched ahievement w/o skill".

Both 3v3 AI mix achievements in one go, done the banshee way: link.

Please note I'm not a good player, you will see typical leaks of the lower leagues, as well as somewhat passive play. Also, it most probably doesn't work every time you try. In this game, I had a bit of luck because my two AI allies seemed to be successful in rushing one of the opponents. They almost killed his nexus before I joined the party.

The 4v4 can be cannon-rushed in PvP on Megaton but doesn't work so great with PvT. As for 4v4 TvT, my computer is too weak to handle that.

I'd be grateful for some hints on how to do XvP, XvZ, TvX, ZvX. Not the necessarily in one go, as it's probably more economical to do it the easiest way for each, instead of retrying over and over to do it in a single attempt.

OT: Getting the Romp achievements is sooo tedious.

Edit: PvAnything can be done by pylon "harass", a technique I found in Google from a gentleman called Pallytime. You basically build pylons in some spot between enemy bases on Megaton and cancel them, delaying the enemy as workers come to destroy the thing. To assist your allies, you either start building a normal base at some point or you start laying down cannons in useful spots, e.g. by placing pylons where your allies are attacking. Then cannons. All three races of enemies can be defeated this way, I guess, though Protoss enemies can be cannon-rushed the regular way.

Now I need to find a way to do the Zerg and Terran Kin vs AI, which is gonna be hard, I suppose, but I can do it vs any mix, which could make it easier.

And it's bugged, you aren't getting lower difficulties of the 4 vs AI Kin achievements for completing insane. I suppose very hard can still be tiresome and hard might not always be a cakewalk, as your allies must be the same difficulty AI as the enemy, of course. Let's see.

Just outmacroed them. T and P AI dont like to expand and they tech rather slowly. I did mirrors with P and Z. Instead of T i went P just because i suck. The biggest issue was that i get 1fps in lategame battles with zergs ^^

Simply get all you team mates to cannon rush the AI. But one of the hardest problems for it is that some player go really far from their mineral like. Try to be as close as possible to the mineral line and the A.I's base. If you yo do it from far away, it may take more than 10-15 minutes. If you do it my way you will finish it around 5-7 minutes.

Yeah, I spent this evening doing the 4v4 achievements in insane and very hard. Finally did them. For Insane, I think I did PvP, PvT, ZvZ and TvR. For Very Hard, I went PvP, TvT (I think), ZvZ unless I'm getting it wrong now. Can't recall much of anything at the end of this "wonderful" evening.

T and Z games got me down to like 1 fps at some points too. It was awful. Zerg is not my race, so I just pulled off some spine crawler harassment on the mineral line of one of the enemies, droned hard, expanded, added queens, teched, went muta (Very Hard) and hydras (Insane). It can be pulled off with some good harass and a cleverer choice of targets to strike than the AI allies' (they go for the army instead of hitting all the economy they can while the enemy is regrouping). So at some points I'd leave my allies to fight the usual battles on the ramps and go kill the expansions.

Terran, which is my race, was even harder. I couldn't pull off TvP, didn't want mirror... finally succeeded vs all random enemies when I could go banshees.

By the way, during some of the failed attempts, I managed to take one enemy away or almost completely away during harass or early in game and still lose in the end. ;P

Anyway, this was sick. I think human enemies in ladder aren't going to make much impression on me after all this Insane AI all around the map.

Now only have to finish off the Romp. I'm halfway there with Protoss v. Insane, will probably cannon rush it to the end (since I can't bunker rush or sixpool Insane AI successfully) and then just solo the random hundred vs. Medium while listening to the music or talking on Skype.

...And the Hard 4v4 achievements, thanks to the bug. But Hard should be piece of cake after all this (easy cannon rush, comfortable macro zerg and doable banshees, I guess).

And I don't care for normal game (without cheese) because of the way allies operate.

You must be talking about the Cooperative achievements. There's no way to get your AI allies to cannon rush the other AI. Now that would be a sight to behold.

I suppose for Co-op, you can go cannon rush for PvP, sixpool for ZvT (everybody strikes his own terran separately but at the exact same time unless terrans gang up), marines/hellions/late thors for TvZ (or just one dood rides around with blue flame hellions killing off drones on all AI enemies while the rest are fighting the AI armies) and done.

Coop may be a pain in terms of Romp, if you go with random people...

I think i got sth nice: I play T and the other team only Z. My allies are random. Z insane AI often playes mass roaches so i just go mass marouder withs upgrades and MedV. My allies block (perhabs they should be Z or P because T cannot block) and my rouder shoot the roaches away.

I won at first try with that strat, but no replay anymore sry.

As Terran, load up and fly to one of the islands. Do this on the Inferno map (I think thats the one) with the two islands which each have two expansions on each island.

As Protoss turtle until robo tech and a warp prism then take the islands.

Make doublerows of cannons or turrets on the side of the island facing the rest of the map, and tech to BCs or carriers respectively.

If you want to do it without this, just turtle at your base with cannons. AI is remarkably stupid when it comes to cannons and also when trying to drop over the top of cannons...they'll only send in one or two dropships at a time.
